President’s Letter

Hello Team Loyalty,

Now that the first quarter is in the books, we can start to focus on the second and third quarters. I feel that we will all be about LOANS. Tax returns will be over, and our clients will no longer have any free government extras coming in. We do need to do our best to keep up with sales as that is where the capital comes from to support our loan growth. Summer is around the corner and with that typically comes higher gas prices, families wanting a vacation and therefore less expendable income. As I stated earlier the loans are coming! A few areas we can focus on are push rollovers, text, and communicate with our clients, watch our aged inventory (Deal of The Day sales), and push our layaway program. The layaway program will be huge as that creates residual monthly revenue if we can get our clients into the store make monthly payments and create another opportunity. We are also working towards more online opportunities for sales and loan/ rollover transactions, while that works great as an added benefit for our clients and easier for them to pay on their loans or layaways it does take away the instore client engagement and making it easier for our clients, especially with today's technology, is the way of the future.

CAPA (California Pawnbrokers Association) is having their annual spring conference and I am looking forward to seeing some of our team there to have some fun and bring home some great takeaways to add to the company's value. You will also be able to see me do some public speaking, which I am not particularly good at, so you may get a good laugh or two, at my expense. If you are attending this will be a fantastic opportunity for you to meet several other pawnbrokers and pawnshop vendors, this can be where you can gain the most information and create long lasting friendships.

Now for the fun part! Go Kings, Light the Beam! I know many of our Loyalty Pawn family has had the experience to attend the Golden One Areana and watch our Sacramento Kings once again make it to the NBA playoffs for the first time since 2006 in the company suite. I truly hope you have enjoyed your experiences there with friends and family not only for the Kings games but any other events. Remember we will continue to enjoy this benefit for the next several years, please take advantage. Have an incredibly Happy Easter to you and your families and be sure to cheer on the Sacramento Kings in their remaining few games and into the playoffs.

Gratefully,

Letter from the General Manager

Hello Everyone,

March is in the rearview mirror. That quarter flew by fast! As of April 1, all stores will be open on Sundays. This brings back a norm in our operations. Roseville will be the last to open and we are excited to get all the locations on track again. We are seeing more applicants and are optimistic about rebuilding our teams to function properly. During March, we saw an influx of tax money. This presented itself in redeems and replacement loans. We have seen more items sell but did not see an increase in gross sales compared to 2022. The top salesperson for March 2023 was Dominic T 1st Place. Second place goes to Norma B. and 3rd place goes to Danni R. Awesome work, team! Also, the top 3 salesperson for quarter 1 was Dominic who got 1st place, Norma 2nd place, and Danni 3rd place. For qtr. 2, Dominic, Norma, and Danny qualify for the higher weekly bonus percentage once they hit the minimum of $2,000.00. Once asked, this team will let you know that our layaway program works!

Spring is here & Summer is right around the corner. Now is the time to do spring cleaning and move that “B” & “C” grade merchandise. Each store has some inventory that is less than eye-appealing merchandise. Let us be active in moving those items as we go into months when we will naturally start to grow. We will accept reasonable offers on products. Please consult your management team if you have any questions.

To conclude, we have been closely monitoring the market and have a close eye on the economy. We feel there will be an opportunity to maximize more of our loan book as banking uncertainty remains prevalent. Both gold and silver are spiking up, presumably because of poor monetary policy. With inflation, increased interest rates, and prices of groceries and utilities, families are trying to figure out how to make do with less in a world where everything costs more. We are compassionate and eager to help our clients find a solution to their short-term financial problems. We have been and currently are offering 1% interest loan for the first 30 days of their loan contract. Let’s remind our clients that this is advantageous for them in their time of need.

Sincerely,

“Your success in life isn’t based on your ability to simply change. It is based on your ability to change faster than your competition, customers and business.” -Mark Sanborn

El Camino

Team Loyalty,

Hope everyone had a great month of March! Finally, we get a break from the weather, and we can enjoy the sunshine. We continue to build our loan balance at 1.5 and climbing as well our monthly sales. Team El Camino came in at 67,902.94 beating Florin finally and fingers crossed we will beat them again. With the growing balance of 93k in layaways we surely need to make that grow to 100k plus so we could always collect that 10% in light of our new sale "we pay the tax" we expect to close deals this month. Other than spring cleaning and the Sacramento Kings making the playoff we are ready to rock the month of April. Happy Easter Everyone!

Cheers, Tony Mora

Roseville

Hello Team Loyalty,

Welcome to the new quarter, Loyalty Pawn family! I hope everyone is off to a great start in this fresh chapter of the year. I want to give a big shoutout to Matthew, our newest team member who has been doing an exceptional job since joining us. His dedication and hard work have already made a positive impact on our operations and the Roseville Team. I also want to give a huge congratulations to Dom and Danni, they continue to be in the top 3 SLA’s in sales for the company. Great job Dom and Danni, I’m very proud of you both. In addition, we're thrilled to announce that we're now open on Sundays! This change allows us to better serve our valued customers and provides more convenience for all. Thank you for your continued hard work, and we look forward to a successful quarter ahead!

Broadway

Hello Team,

Broadway is sold out of tv’s and game systems which is amazing. Having put so many great items down on layaway in hopes for some great Christmas gifts in the near future. the team here took full advantage of the previous sale and are looking forward to the next upcoming one. We are happy to welcome our new team member Elijah who is excited and eager to learn. We are also having to say goodbye to Quincy who is heading north to fulfill her dreams and getting the chance to join the family business. John and Kirby have been busy cleaning and pricing jewelry to get out to all the stores, with the intention of getting that last bit of tax money. Overall Broadway is falling into a well running machine.

Florin Mall

Loyalty Pawn Families,

I hope everyone had a wonderful March. Boy, it was a challenge to try and catch up to El Camino in sales. Congratulations Team El Camino and thanks for the challenger. Florin had a rough start in sales but we were able to climb up and take 2nd place in sales. We had to put some tricks out of our hat to make it possible. The key point to staying on top is to maintain those layaways and secure new ones. Team Florin will surely take first place for the month of April. As we all know easter is here and we are excited to all the little ones come in with their spring outfit. Team Florin is still holding a strong $ 1.6 million loan balance. Top sales for team Florin is me at $16k followed by Paul at $12k then David at almost $10k, Ah at $8.3k, Steph at $7.3k, and John at $4.5k. Team Florin has some work to do to climb up to top sales but that has never discouraged us. We are always up for the challenge. Team Florin is going to set another goal of $85k for the month of April. We are still seeing some of that tax money coming in and we are going to try a capitalize on it. Let’s push for a great month and an awesome start to the second quarter.

APRIL…MORE THAN JUST THE 4TH MONTH OF THE CALENDAR YEAR!

April is the fourth month of the year and is known for its beautiful spring weather, blooming flowers, and Easter celebrations. However, there is much more to this month thanmeets theeye.Infact, thereareplenty ofinteresting andsurprisingthings that make April unique.

April is National Poetry Month in the United States, established by the Academy of American Poets in 1996.

It aims to increase awareness and appreciation of poetry, with events and activities held throughout the month. National Poetry Month has become a global celebration of the art of poetry in April each year.

National Poetry Month- April!! Who knew?

Who started it?

Gift of Gladness

Happy birthday, Sister April, Simple hello causes much mirth; Sweet smile brings a thousand thrill, Giving gladness to life on earth.

~Bernard F Asuncion

DID YOU KNOW?

Inspired by the successful celebrations of Black History Month (February) and Women's History Month (March), the Academy of American Poets established National Poetry Month in 1996. Along the way the organization enlisted a variety of government agencies and officials, educational leaders, publishers, sponsors, poets, and arts organizations to help. National Poetry Month is a registered trademark of the Academy of American Poets. Why was April chosen for National Poetry Month? In coordination with poets, booksellers, librarians, and teachers, the Academy of American Poets chose a month when poetry could be celebrated with the highest level of participation. April seemed the best time within the year to turn attention toward the art of poetry, in an ultimate effort to encourage poetry readership year-round.

April Astronomy

The Pink Moon

The April Full Moon will officially take place at 12:34 A.M. EDT (ABC). The April Full Moon is often called the Pink Moon, named after the herb moss pink, which is one of the earliest wildflowers of the spring season (NASA)

Venture outside on the night of Wednesday, April 5, to catch a glimpse of April’s full Pink Moon. This full Moon actually reaches peak illumination at 12:37 A.M. Eastern Time on Thursday, April 6, which means that it will be at its peak on the night of April 5 in more westerly time zones.

Why Is It Called the Pink Moon?

The full Moon names used by The Old Farmer’s Almanac come from a number of places, including Native American, Colonial American, and European sources. Traditionally, each full Moon name was applied to the entire lunar month in which it occurred, not only to the full Moon.
