Looking out over the Doha skyline as the day drifts into evening, there is a softness in the light that makes everything feel slightly quiet – like time itself is pausing between thoughts. I’m at my desk, moving through the final edits of this upcoming LLQ Lifestyle issue, adjusting layouts, refining details, and taking slow sips of coffee. In that unhurried rhythm, I find myself reflecting on how life moves in the same way – page by page, often without waiting for us to fully absorb the turn.

Lately, the world has felt unusually heavy. You sense it in conversations, in the pauses between words. There are challenges that extend beyond what we can immediately see, and many are carrying more than they reveal. In moments like these, I return to a simple understanding: none of us are meant to navigate life entirely on our own.
In difficult times, motivation doesn’t always arrive as a surge of energy or certainty - it often begins quietly, in the simple decision to keep going. I’ve come to see it less as a feeling and more as a choice we return to, even on days when clarity feels distant. It lives in small, steady actions in showing up, in trying again, in refusing to let setbacks define the outcome. Hard moments have a way of reshaping perspective; they remind us that strength is not always loud, and progress is not always visible. Yet, step by step, even the smallest effort carries us forward. And sometimes, that quiet persistence is what builds the strongest kind of resilience.
Across communities, industries, and personal lives there is a quiet shift happening - a rediscovery of what it means to stand together. In uncertain times, compassion becomes more than sentiment; it becomes a stabilizing force. It allows people to steady each other, to rebuild trust, and to move forward even when the path feels unclear. When we support one another, we create momentum that no single effort could achieve alone. It is in that shared direction that real change begins to take shape.
Within these pages of LLQ Lifestyle, you will find stories that reflect this truth: people choosing collaboration over distance, communities finding stability through unity, and individuals shaping impact simply by choosing to care in ways that matter.
As my readers turn these pages, I hope they pause for a moment of reflection. Who has lifted you when you needed it most? And just as importantly, who around you might be waiting for that same quiet act of support? May this issue serve not only as a reflection of the world we live in, but as a gentle reminder of the world we are still capable of building –together.
“In the hardest of times, we don’t move forward alone – we rise by lifting each other, finding strength in kindness, and turning unity into hope for a better tomorrow.”
Elias Haddad.

Pain control has always been a central concern in dentistry. For many patients, the fear of the traditional needle remains one of the biggest barriers to seeking dental care. With technological advancements, the introduction of the electronic anesthesia device—often referred to as “the electronic dental injection” or computer-controlled local anesthetic delivery (CCLAD)— has transformed the patient experience and improved clinical outcomes.
An electronic anesthesia device is a computer-assisted system designed to deliver local anesthetic in a controlled, precise, and slow manner. Unlike conventional syringes, where the pressure and speed of injection depend entirely on the dentist’s hand, this device regulates the flow rate automatically. This ensures a steady, gentle administration of anesthesia, significantly reducing discomfort during the injection.
One of the most significant benefits of electronic anesthesia devices is improved patient comfort. By delivering the anesthetic slowly and consistently, the device minimizes the burning sensation typically associated with rapid injections.
Additionally, these devices allow for:
{ Greater precision in targeting specific nerves or areas
{ Reduced tissue damage due to controlled pressure

Dr. Nour Zourob

{ Lower anxiety levels, especially in patients with dental phobia
{ Improved patient cooperation, particularly in children

The electronic anesthesia device represents a significant advancement in dental technology, bridging the gap between patient comfort and clinical efficiency. By reducing pain and anxiety associated with injections, it encourages more patients to seek regular dental care and improves their overall experience.
As dentistry continues to evolve, integrating such patientcentered technologies will play a crucial role in shaping the future of oral healthcare.

The new Titan advances the legacy of the original chronograph with a more defined expression of power. Giving the watch a strong architectural presence, the sculpted case asserts itself through structure and symmetry. Chamfered edges sharpen the form, while the touch of black on the top ring adds a modern, performancedriven character.
On the dial, horizontal textures introduce depth and direction, creating a dynamic stage for the applied numerals. Their polished facets catch the light with precision, reinforcing a sense of clarity and control. With its three-hand layout, Titan takes on a more focused, refined attitude: a natural evolution of the chrono,
designed for those who want strength delivered with precision rather than complexity. The bracelet, built with bold H-shaped links, echoes the geometry of the case for a seamless transition and a powerful wrist feel.

In silicone strap variations, Titan shifts into a more active mood: lightweight, resilient, and ready for motion. Both executions maintain the PLEIN SPORT balance of impact and versatility.
Titan is not loud; it’s assertive. Its presence comes through structure, proportion, and the confidence of a design that adapts effortlessly to the pace of daily life.

The National Pavilion of Qatar today announced details of its presentation for the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, commissioned by Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson, Qatar Museums. untitled 2026 (a gathering of remarkable people); Rirkrit Tiravanija, Sophia Al-Maria, Tarek Atoui, Alia Farid, Fadi Kattan builds on artist Rirkrit Tiravanija’s decades-long practice of inviting collaborators to activate his architectural and spatial scenarios. For the 61st International Art Exhibition, Rirkrit Tiravanija has designed a tent-like structure to serve as a place for cultural exchange, with a film by Qatari-American artist Sophia Al-Maria, live performances organized by Lebanese artist Tarek Atoui, a large-scale sculpture by Kuwaiti-Puerto Rican artist Alia Farid, and a culinary programme of Middle Eastern cuisine designed by Palestinian chef Fadi Kattan.
Produced by Qatar Museums and presented by Rubaiya Qatar (Qatar’s contemporary art quadrennial), a gathering of remarkable people is co-curated by Tom Eccles (Executive Director, Center for Curatorial Studies and the Hessel Museum of Art, Bard College) and Ruba Katrib (Chief Curator and Director of Curatorial Affairs, MoMA PS1). It will be presented in the Giardini della Biennale on the site of the future permanent Qatar Pavilion designed by Lina Ghotmeh — Architecture.
Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani said, “On the global stage of the Venice Biennale, this exhibition demonstrates Qatar’s unwavering belief in the power of culture to bring people together and to create space for reflection, connection, and affirmation of our shared humanity. Qatar is proud to provide a platform for the creative talent of our nation and the Arab world. Together, these artists and their work highlight the importance of resilience in a complicated time, empowering communities, inspiring generations, and strengthening our combined heritage.”
Drawing on diverse cultures from the Arab world and modelled after Qatari gathering spaces, the temporary structure will welcome the public to experience a range of cultural offerings.
Co-curators Tom Eccles and Ruba Katrib said, “We are proud that a gathering of remarkable people builds upon the presentation of Rirkrit Tiravanija’s work in Doha, as part of Rubaiya Qatar. The engaging, participatory nature of this new, expansive work, including its desire to nourish both the spirit and the body, will be carried forward by the outstanding artistic collaborators who will bring the exhibition to life in Venice. By including artists, musicians, poets, and chefs, the exhibition proves that culture is the indelible link between us all. Bringing people together at this moment is more important than ever. In fact, it is essential.”
Rirkrit Tiravanija said, “I feel honoured to work with Qatar Museums, the Rubaiya Qatar team, and all the artists who will be contributing to this experience in Venice. Sophia AlMaria, Tarek Atoui, Alia Farid and Fadi Kattan represent different aspects of Arab culture, which will be united at the Qatar Pavilion to show how we all can come together.”

Art installations and activations will include:
• an experimental narrative film by Qatari-American artist Sophia Al-Maria, in which her protagonist goes on a dream-like journey that delves into the transformative possibilities of music and sound.
• Jerrican (2022–2026), a large-scale sculpture by Alia Farid from her series of larger-than-life vessels used to store and carry water in the Gulf. Farid’s versions are enormous but hollow and light, molded in lacquered fiberglass and fabricated using the same method as the decorative casings for public drinking fountains that have become a distinctive feature of the urban landscape across the Arabian Gulf.
• improvisational collaborations arranged by Tarek Atoui with musicians and poets, responding to field recordings, archival sources, and other sonic elements from across the Arab world.
• a culinary programme designed by Fadi Kattan, which highlights chefs from the MENA region whose cuisine sits at the intersection of preservation and innovation, with menus often centered on a single ingredient to trace the cross-cultural impact of migration and trade.

In special care, progress is never a solo journey. It is shared, felt, and carried by families, extends to the caregivers, and to the entire ecosystem that surrounds a child’s growth. Within this space, where guidance, patience, and understanding are just as vital as treatment itself, Joelle Al Asmar El Sokhon’s work emerges as a deeply thoughtful reimagining of care –one that blends naturopathy and holistic healing not only for patients, but for the families who walk every step of the journey alongside them.
Joelle’s journey begins with a strong foundation in natural medicine. A Natural Medical Doctor, she studied at the American University of Natural Medicine, where she built her foundation in holistic and natural approaches to care seeing individuals not as conditions, but as complete human beings shaped by mind, body, and spirit.
Later she expanded her vision into leadership and systems thinking through a Master of Business Administration at Anglia Ruskin University, where she achieved excellent academic standing. This blend of medical knowledge and strategic insight shaped her ability to build care systems that are both compassionate and sustainable.
Today, as CEO of the Family Hope Center, Joelle has created more than a therapeutic institution. She has built a sanctuary where medicine meets compassion, and where every individual is seen beyond their diagnosis.
Rooted in naturopathy and homeopathy, the Center embraces a holistic model of healing that integrates therapy, education, and emotional support. It is a place where children, young adults, and elders are guided patiently through their unique journeys of growth, and where progress is measured in small, meaningful steps.
As I listened to her story, I discovered not just achievement, but a deeply human narrative of resilience, purpose, and care lived every day.
LLQ Lifestyle: Your journey into iridology, homeopathy, and naturopathy is both unique and deeply holistic. What inspired you to pursue this path, and how has it shaped your philosophy of healing?
Joelle: “My journey into natural and holistic medicine began long before I became a mother. It has always been both my profession and my passion. But everything deepened and transformed after my daughters were diagnosed with a rare genetic condition.
What once lived in my mind as academic knowledge suddenly became profoundly personal. I was no longer only a Practitioner; I became a mother navigating uncertainty, searching, learning, and advocating every single day for my children.

That lived experience reshaped my entire philosophy of care. I began to understand, more deeply than ever, that true healing cannot be limited to physical health alone. It must extend to emotional safety, developmental progress, and psychological wellbeing.
This realization led me to further specialize in special education and play therapy, and most recently to complete my Master’s degree in Special Education Leadership in the UK. Each step was driven by the same intention: to better understand how to support children in a way that is both structured and deeply compassionate.
Today, my approach is fully integrative. I bring together holistic medicine, therapeutic practice, and educational frameworks to support not just the child, but the entire family system because healing, in its truest sense, is always collective.”
LLQ Lifestyle: With over two decades of experience, how have you seen natural medicine evolve, especially in addressing modern lifestyle-related health challenges?
Joelle: “Over the past two decades, I have witnessed a profound shift in how we understand health and healing. Natural medicine is no longer seen as a secondary or alternative option. It is increasingly recognized as an essential part of a truly integrative approach to care.
What stands out to me today is how much more conscious people have become about the connection between lifestyle, nutrition, emotional wellbeing, and overall health. There is a deeper awareness now that healing is not only about treating illness, but also about prevention, regulation, and restoring balance before imbalance turns into disease.
This evolution is both encouraging and necessary. It reflects a gradual move toward a more human-centered and sustainable model of healthcare; one that does not separate the physical from the emotional, or the clinical from the personal, but instead brings them together in a more complete understanding of wellbeing.”
LLQ Lifestyle: As the CEO of the Family Hope Center, what was the vision behind creating this space, and what gap were you determined to fill in the community?
Joelle: “For me, Family Hope Center was born from a very personal realization, ‘a gap I could no longer ignore’. I saw how many children with special needs, and their families, were moving through systems that often felt fragmented, clinical, and lacking true understanding of their lived reality.
I knew I wanted to build something different.
My vision was never just to create another therapy center. I wanted to shape a space that feels safe, nurturing, and deeply human, where children are seen for their abilities, not defined by their limitations, and where families are not left to navigate the journey alone, but are genuinely supported, guided, and empowered at every step.
At the heart of Family Hope Center is a simple belief I hold close: therapy must meet humanity. This is a place where progress is not rushed or measured only in outcomes, but celebrated in every small, meaningful step forward. And most importantly, it is a space where hope is not abstract –It is rebuilt every single day, quietly, consistently, and with intention.”
LLQ Lifestyle: The Family Hope Center supports children with special needs and their families. Can you share a moment or success story that truly reflects the impact of your work?
Joelle: “Motherhood didn’t just influence my mission, it redefined it entirely.
Even with my background as a Natural Medical Doctor, it was my daughters’ diagnosis that truly expanded me to grow new directions of my life and work. It pushed me to move beyond the boundaries of conventional healing and step into a deeper understanding of development, communication, and emotional wellbeing.
I found myself returning to study again, this time in special education and play therapy, because I needed more than medical answers –I needed tools to truly support their world.
Recently, completing my Master’s in Special Education Leadership became another meaningful step in that journey. It was never just about academic progression; it was about equipping myself to serve better, not only my own children, but also many other families navigating similar paths of uncertainty, hope, and resilience.
My daughters are the reason my work is not just a career, it is a calling.”

LLQ Lifestyle: Your work is deeply personal, especially with your own experience as a parent. How has motherhood influenced your professional mission and approach to care?
Joelle: “Motherhood is the foundation of everything I do.
It has shaped not only who I am, but how I see the world and the families I work with. It has taught me patience in moments of uncertainty, resilience in times of challenge, and a form of love that is entirely unconditional.
But above all, it has given me perspective. I don’t see families as cases, I see them as stories, as emotions, as journeys.
My daughters are my greatest teachers. Through them, I learned that progress looks different for every child, and that true care goes beyond clinical methods, it requires empathy, understanding, and heart.”
LLQ Lifestyle: In a fast-paced world, many people are turning back to natural and holistic healing. What are the most common misconceptions about naturopathy and homeopathy that you often address?
Joelle: “One of the biggest misconceptions is that holistic healing replaces conventional medicine. In reality, it complements it. Another misconception is that it is slow or ineffective. True healing takes time because it addresses the root causes rather than masking symptoms. It is a process of rebuilding balance, not forcing quick results.
Holistic care is not about choosing one path over another, it is about integrating approaches to serve the individual in the best possible way.”
LLQ Lifestyle: Family Hope Center emphasizes not just therapy for children but also emotional support for families. Why is this dual approach so important?
Joelle: “Because a child does not grow in isolation, they grow within a family.
When parents are supported emotionally and guided properly, they become empowered partners in their child’s development. This creates consistency, trust, and a stronger impact on the child’s progress.
At Family Hope Center, we believe that when you strengthen the family, you strengthen the child.”
LLQ Lifestyle: You’ve worked across different countries and cultures. How has this global exposure shaped the way you approach patient care and community building?
Joelle: “Working across different cultures has taught me that while systems and traditions may differ, the emotional needs of families are universal.
Every parent wants to feel heard; every child deserves to feel accepted, and every family seeks hope.
This exposure has made me more adaptable, more respectful of different perspectives, and more committed to creating inclusive, culturally sensitive care.”
LLQ Lifestlye: As a woman leading a purpose-driven organization, what challenges have you faced, and what has defined your idea of success over the years?
Joelle: “One of the biggest challenges was navigating two worlds at once, being both a professional and a mother on a deeply personal journey.
I had to evolve, to study again, to step into new fields like special education and therapy, all while raising my children and building a center from the ground up.
There were moments of uncertainty, but I chose to transform every challenge into growth.
Success, for me, is no longer defined by titles or achievements. It is defined by impact, by the lives we touch, the progress we witness, and the hope we restore in families.”

LLQ Lifestyle: Looking ahead, what is your long-term vision for the Family Hope Center, and what legacy do you hope to create in the field of holistic and special needs care?
Joelle: “My vision is to continue developing Family Hope Center as a leading model that integrates holistic health, special education, and therapeutic care under one unified philosophy.
With my background in natural medicine and my advanced studies in special education leadership, I aim to bridge the gap between health and developmental care.
My legacy is not only to build a center, but to build a system of support, understanding, and acceptance where every child is given the opportunity to thrive, and every family feels empowered and supported.”
Leading with Empathy, Transforming with Care: The Evolution of Holistic Healing in Joelle’s Thoughtful Hands
As our conversation draws to a close, Joelle’s journey lingers as more than a story, it feels like a gentle shift in perspective. In a space where healthcare is often defined by speed and systems, her work reminds us that true healing is rooted in presence, patience, and genuine human connection.
Through the Family Hope Center, she is shaping more than individual outcomes; she is contributing to a broader evolution in Qatar’s approach to holistic care one that embraces naturopathic healing, inclusivity, and dignity at every stage. It reflects a new generation of leadership that understands medicine not just as treatment, but as an experience grounded in empathy and purpose.
For LLQ Lifestyle, the lens has always been on the evolving meaning of care, spotlighting voices like Joelle’s that are redefining holistic healing and reshaping healthcare through empathy, balance, and a deeply human approach. Her story is a quiet yet powerful reminder that the future of healthcare is not only innovative, but deeply human.

The Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) has announced the expansion of its partnership with Qatar’s Years of Culture initiative, deepening the connection between world-class sport and international cultural exchange across three landmark destinations in the 2026 season: Mexico City, Cairo, and Rabat.
The expanded collaboration builds on the success of the partnership first launched in Rabat in 2024 as part of the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture, and now enters a new phase with a stronger international footprint.
A key highlight of the 2026 partnership will be Mexico City, where the Longines Global Champions Tour returns to the iconic Campo Marte from 16-19 April. Set against the backdrop of Chapultepec Park, Campo Marte has become one of the most atmospheric stops on the global equestrian calendar, known for its passionate crowds, lively Mexican spirit, and unique blend of elite sport and cultural celebration.
Representing the Doha Falcons GCL team this week in Mexico City is a dynamic trio combining experience and rising talent, with Jessica Mendoza, Sanne Thijssen, and Nathan Budd set to take on the iconic Campo Marte arena. With a strong blend of consistency and competitive edge, the Doha Falcons will be ones to watch as they aim to make their mark in front of the passionate Mexican crowd at the second stage of the season.
The Mexico City event will form a key moment within the Qatar Canada and Mexico 2026 Year of Culture, using equestrian sport as a platform for people-to-people exchange and cross-cultural storytelling. The partnership will spotlight Mexico’s deep equestrian heritage, creative energy, and global cultural influence, while further strengthening ties between Qatar and Mexico through shared experiences.
His Excellency Mohammed Al Kuwari, Years of Culture Advisor on Latin America, said: “The expansion of this partnership reflects the spirit at the heart of Years of Culture, building lasting connections between nations through shared experiences and culture, which is more important now than ever. Mexico City is a particularly important chapter in this journey, bringing together sport, culture, and community in one of the world’s most dynamic capitals.”

President and Founder of the Longines Global Champions Tour Jan Tops said: “Announcing this expanded partnership as we arrive in Mexico City marks an exciting moment in our 2026 season. Following the success of Rabat, we are proud to grow our collaboration with Years of Culture across multiple global destinations, bringing together world-class sport and cultural exchange in a way that truly resonates with our global audience. Celebrating the unique blend of top sport, culture, and global connection is what defines the Longines Global Champions Tour so the partnership with Years of Culture is a natural fit.”
The partnership will also return to Rabat, where the initial collaboration set a new benchmark for integrating cultural diplomacy within elite equestrian sport. In Cairo, one of the most anticipated new destinations on the tour’s 2026 calendar, Years of Culture will further amplify the event’s global significance, showcasing Egypt’s deep history and cultural legacy on an international stage.
By spanning three major international cities, the collaboration reflects a shared vision between LGCT and Years of Culture to go beyond competition, creating platforms that unite communities, celebrate heritage, and foster lasting global connections through sport.

What first inspired you to bring together film, design, and architecture within a single creative practice?
Design is in my DNA, but I studied Philosophy and Film Production. When I started my own production company, I realized that design and architecture were more told through pictures, beautiful but static photos. I felt the need to start telling stories about objects, buildings and creators with moving images. My mission today is to reach a wide audience with the power of moviemaking.
When developing a project, how do you decide which stories, figures, or design narratives are most compelling to explore?
The needs of society are always driving me and I often choose to explore stories about what is relevant today, as green architecture, or great protagonists of design and architecture that are also humanistic and poetic figures.
You have worked closely with iconic figures such as Renzo Piano and Gio Ponti archives. Which collaboration has been most memorable, and why?
Renzo Piano is a great master and having the opportunity to work very close to him is a gift, I’m learning a lot about the art of building – which is his mantra. On the other side, digging into the Gio Ponti archives was a fantastic discovery. Ponti is a giant that designed everything and wrote amazing words about the human perspective on design.

How have these collaborations shaped your perspective on storytelling within architecture and design?
I learned how to communicate design and architecture in a more fascinating way, with simplicity but universality. Speaking to the new generations is the goal.

FRANCESCA MOLTENI
As both a creative director and the founder of a production company, how do you balance artistic vision with the practical demands of running a business?
Quality is the red thread, the fil rouge. I’m like a tightrope walker, trying to balance the creative and the business aspects. It’s challenging but in this way I’m free to choose the stories I want to tell.
In what ways does producing your own work allow you to push creative boundaries?
I’m free to experiment by myself but also to choose the best team for each project. Team working is very important in filmmaking.
Molteni&C embodies a philosophy where architecture, furniture, and lifestyle converge into a “total living environment.” Why do you believe this approach is particularly relevant to contemporary design discourse?
Coherency and consistency are very important today. Molteni&C can deliver both, with an obsession for quality, providing that “feeling at home” design which is comfortable and contemporary at the same time.
The opening of the Molteni&C store at Msheireb Downtown Doha places Italian design heritage within a distinctly Qatari urban context. How do you interpret this dialogue between Italian modernism and Msheireb’s vision of culturally rooted contemporary urbanism?
In Doha I felt a great energy and enthusiasm for tradition, contemporary living and hospitality. We share similar attitudes. The dialogue is open between the two cultures.
As Doha continues to position itself as a regional design and cultural capital, what role can spaces like the Molteni&C store in Msheireb play in cultivating a more design-aware and design-curious public in the Middle East?
A space like the Molteni&C store is a platform for sharing quality living and heritage. This is a starting point for new collaborations with the community and the Middle East public.

Rooted in Arabian artistic traditions and elevated through modern sustainability, the Arabesque Tote is a celebration of cultural storytelling expressed through thoughtful design.

This carefully considered proportion creates visual harmony across the bag’s silhouette, reflecting balance, rhythm, and intentionality — principles deeply embedded in both our regional design language and Veganologie’s ethos.
Crafted from 100% bamboo fibre, the Arabesque Tote is surprisingly lightweight for its dimensions yet remarkably durable. Its structured interior features four thoughtfully designed compartments, allowing for practical organisation. without disrupting the clean exterior. Veganologie also reaffirms its iconic emblem, magnifying the brands continued dedication to earth-friendly luxury.

Created as the Arabesque Tote’s perfect companion, the Heritage Tassel is a defining accent of the capsule collection. Honouring the colours of the UAE flag, the tassel serves as both a visual statement and a symbolic detail.
Historically, tassels have existed as more than decorative details. Across cultures, they were crafted as symbols of protection — their layered threads believed to absorb and disperse negative energy. Often attached to garments, tents, and ceremonial objects, their gentle movement was thought to create balance, shielding the wearer and the space around them.

Beyond their protective role, tassels became markers of craftsmanship and refinement. Hand-formed and intentionally placed, tassels also held a strong connection to moments of honour and celebration. Worn during significant gatherings and festive occasions, they came to represent joy, abundance, and continuity.
In this capsule collection, the Heritage Tassel is reimagined through a contemporary lens. A modern talisman — fluid, expressive, and deeply rooted in cultural pride. Designed to move with the wearer, it embodies joy in motion, carrying forward the spirit of celebration while honouring the traditions that inspired it.

Set on the Corniche, with its own private stretch of beach in the heart of Doha’s diplomatic enclave, Hilton Doha doesn’t just welcome guests –it proudly reveals hospitality with excellence. Effortlessly balancing business and leisure, it has become a defining address where the city’s corporate pulse meets coastal indulgence. Here, days unfold against sweeping Gulf views, while nights transition into a vibrant mix of dining, entertainment, and refined social energy, making it one of Doha’s most complete lifestyle destinations.
Carrying forward the legacy of Hilton Doha’s hospitality excellence is Wael Maatouk, whose leadership continues to shape and elevate its enduring reputation.
A Canadian national with Lebanese roots, fluent in French, English, and Arabic, Maatouk began in Beirut’s food and beverage scene before advancing his academic path in Montreal. With an MBA in Leadership and Management and a strong foundation in hotel operations, he brings a balanced leadership style –strategic, intuitive, and deeply peoplefocused. Under his guidance, Hilton Doha continues to refine its legacy with quiet confidence.
Meeting Maatouk felt refreshingly unfiltered. There was an ease to the conversation, a sense of perspective shaped by experience rather than presentation. People, performance, and the future of hospitality take center stage as Wael Maatouk opens up about the principles behind his success. In conversation with LLQ Lifestyle, he reveals a leadership approach grounded not in grand gestures, but in the power of detail -those subtle, intentional hints that quietly elevate every guest experience at Hilton Doha into something truly memorable.
LLQ Lifestyle: You’ve spent more than two decades in hospitality. Looking back, which moments in your career would you say played the biggest role in shaping the leader you are today?
Wael Maatouk: “The most defining moments in my career have always come back to one truth - hospitality is about people. Opening hotels, leading diverse teams across cultures, and navigating both growth and challenging periods have all shaped how I see leadership today. For me, it has to be grounded in empathy, clarity, and purpose.
These experiences strengthened my responsibility as a host –creating environments where both guests and team members feel genuinely welcomed, valued, and motivated. It’s a philosophy that closely reflects Hilton’s founding vision of filling the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality, and it continues to guide the way I lead and make decisions every day.”
LLQ Lifestyle: As the General Manager of Hilton Doha, how do you ensure consistent service excellence and operational efficiency while keeping the guest experience fresh, relevant, and competitive in an upscale hospitality market?

Wael Maatouk: “At Hilton Doha, I’ve always believed that service excellence starts with culture. We focus on empowering our team members to truly live the “For the Stay” experience, bringing our service behaviors to life, delivering a genuine Blue Carpet Welcome, and making every guest feel seen, valued, and at home. For me, it’s about creating moments that stay with people long after they’ve checked out.
Consistency comes from strong training and clear standards that everyone understands and follows. But keeping the experience fresh is just as important. That’s why we continuously evolve what we offer, especially across our Food & Beverage and social spaces.
By blending Hilton’s global expertise with meaningful local relevance, we ensure our guests don’t just feel well hosted –they feel genuinely connected to the place and the experience.”
LLQ Lifestyle: The hospitality industry is evolving rapidly, especially with digital tools and data-driven decision-making. How have technology and analytics changed the way you approach guest experience and revenue performance?
Wael Maatouk: “Technology and analytics help us truly place the guest at the center of every decision we make. They give us deeper insight into guest preferences, allow us to personalize experiences, and help us anticipate needs throughout the entire stay journey. From revenue optimization to guest engagement, data enables us to make smarter, more proactive choices.
That said, I’ve always believed technology is only as powerful as the human touch behind it. For me, tech is not about replacing people, it’s about empowering our teams to deliver more warmth, more attention, and ultimately, more memorable moments for our guests.”
LLQ Lifestyle: Having led large, multicultural teams over the years, what is your approach to building strong leadership teams that stay motivated and deliver results in today’s demanding hospitality environment?
Wael Maatouk: “I believe strong leadership teams are built on trust, inclusion, and a shared sense of purpose. I focus on giving my leaders clear direction while empowering them to take ownership, collaborate effectively, and remain accountable in everything they do.
At Hilton, we see energized connections as essential not only between team members and guests, but also within leadership teams themselves. When I invest in development, recognize strong performance, and encourage open and honest communication, we naturally build teams that are motivated, resilient, and aligned in delivering exceptional results.”
LLQ Lifestyle: Your experience spans both hotel operations and managing extensive F&B portfolios. What key lessons from your time with MTY Group continue to influence your management style and daily decision-making?
Wael Maatouk: “My time with MTY Group really strengthened how I see hospitality operations. It taught me the importance of staying disciplined in execution while also thinking at scale and relying on data to guide performance.
Working across different F&B brands also showed me how important it is to strike the right balance between consistency and creativity. You have to protect standards and cost control, but at the same time stay flexible enough to respond quickly to changing market conditions. These experiences still shape the way I lead today. They influence how I make decisions, how I measure performance, and ultimately how I think about delivering guest satisfaction across hotel operations.”
LLQ Lifestyle: The Middle East hospitality market is fast-paced and highly competitive. What do you see as the biggest opportunities for growth, and what challenges should hoteliers be prepared for over the next five years?
Wael Maatouk: “The Middle East is full of opportunity right now, driven by strong tourism growth, ongoing infrastructure development, and a guest base that is becoming more sophisticated and experience-driven. I see experiential travel, culinary innovation, and highly personalized service as the real areas of growth in the years ahead.
At the same time, the region is not without its challenges. Talent retention, rising operational costs, and the pressure to consistently deliver service excellence in a highly competitive market all require strong leadership. For me, it comes down to staying adaptable and never losing focus on people development, that’s what ultimately sustains longterm success.
LLQ Lifestyle: As an award-winning hotelier and mentor, what advice would you give to young hospitality professionals who aspire to move into senior leadership roles?
Wael Maatouk: “I often tell young professionals that leadership in hospitality starts with strong foundations and staying closely connected to the heart of what we do. For me, nothing replaces front-line experience, operational discipline, and a genuine care for both guests and colleagues. These are not optional; they are essential.
Over the years, I’ve learned that leadership is never defined by titles. It is defined by responsibility, consistency, and the ability to inspire others through your everyday actions. At Hilton, we believe great leaders don’t just manage teams, they create opportunities for them and act as trusted hosts in every sense, for both guests and colleagues.
My advice is simple: stay curious, remain humble, and always lead with purpose.”
For LLQ Lifestyle, celebrating Qatar’s lifestyle remains part of its editorial DNA, spotlighting leaders who powerfully shape Qatar’s evolving hospitality landscape. Meeting Wael Maatouk offered more than insights into operational excellence; it revealed a mindset built on purpose, people, and consistency.
As Doha continues to grow as a global destination, it is leaders like Maatouk who ensure its hospitality story remains both authentic and forward-looking. Through every interaction, decision, and detail, he reflects the values that define true service leadership. It is this blend of vision and humility that LLQ Lifestyle is proud to document and share with its readers.

There’s a quiet expectation I carry with me into every restaurant I review –a hope that, just once in a while, the evening will offer more than what is on the plate. And lately, I had been hearing a certain roar across Doha’s lifestyle blogosphere -the Tomahawk Experience at Bentley’s Grill. It had found its way onto my list, not out of curiosity alone, but with a sense of intent to understand what the conversation was truly about.
Nestled within the iconic Radisson Blu Hotel, Doha, a destination where international standards meet local warmth, the setting consistently elevates every visit into something more memorable than expected. Despite the well-known fact that Radisson Blu Hotel, Doha is amongst my personal favorites, my readers also know that I only ever give honest, experience-led reviews. That said, it is undeniable that its dining portfolio consistently ranks among the finest in the

city, and Bentley’s Grill Steakhouse in particular has been a place I find myself returning to time and again, drawn in by its consistently curated selection of steaks and refined culinary execution.
Simply put, there are restaurant visits that fill a page, and then there are those that fill a memory. So when I finally made my way to Bentley’s Grill, there was a distinct sense of anticipation -the kind that builds when something has quietly earned its place on your personal checklist. I arrived genuinely curious, eager to discover what exactly sets this experience apart and why it continues to command such attention across Doha’s ever-evolving dining scene.
What unfolded over the course of the evening was far more than a meal; it became a layered, immersive journey that lingered well beyond the final course.
Bentley’s Grill does not overwhelm at first glance and that is precisely its strength. The ambiance is measured, confident, and deeply atmospheric. The lighting is low but deliberate, creating pockets of intimacy across the room. Rich leather seating, dark wood finishes, and elegantly set tables evoke a sense of classic European steakhouse tradition, yet the space feels entirely at home within Doha’s contemporary luxury scene.
From my editorial lens, I often find myself dissecting spaces as much as sentences. Here, the décor speaks a language of classic sophistication. It draws inspiration from traditional steakhouses yet adds a classy vibe. The layout encourages privacy, making each table feel like its own intimate world, while still contributing to the collective rhythm of the room.
There is a quiet rhythm here; conversations flow without interruption, and the gentle hum of jazz adds texture without distraction. It’s a setting that invites you to slow down, to be present, to engage not just with the food, but with the experience as a whole.
In a city where dining often leans toward the grand and the opulent, Bentley’s Grill offers something more nuanced: a refined intimacy that feels both rare and refreshing.
Before the Tomahawk takes center stage, the menu itself deserves a moment of appreciation. Thoughtfully curated, it reflects a deep respect for ingredients and technique. There is no unnecessary clutter, no attempt to overwhelm with variety. Instead, each dish feels purposeful, designed to build toward something greater.

The experience began on a note of quiet elegance; a Salmon Gravlax that immediately signaled the kitchen’s confidence in restraint. As I took my first bite, I appreciated the delicate balance at play. The salmon was silky and subtly cured, its natural richness lifted beautifully by the freshness of cucumber spaghetti.

What truly lingered, however, was the fragrant basil oil -light, aromatic, and thoughtfully used, it tied the dish together without overwhelming it. It felt like an intentional beginning, one that awakened the palate while gently preparing it for the indulgence that lay ahead. At that moment, I realized this wasn’t going to be a rushed experience -it was going to unfold.
And then, the moment arrives.
The grilled bone-in Tomahawk rib-eye steak is, without question, the defining moment of the experience -a cut that commands attention not only for its scale but for the precision behind it. Cooked exactly to my preference, it revealed a beautifully charred crust that gave way to a tender, juicy interior -the kind of execution that speaks of both skill and discipline.
What I found particularly impressive was the way the accompaniments were curated. The choice between a baked potato and thick-cut grilled potatoes allows for a personal touch. I opted for the latter, appreciating their crisp exterior and soft, comforting center. Alongside, the herb tomatoes added a subtle brightness, while the sautéed mushrooms brought an earthy depth that complemented the richness of the steak.
The seasonal vegetables, often an afterthought in many steakhouses, felt deliberate here -fresh, vibrant, and wellbalanced, contributing to the overall harmony of the plate. And then, of course, there were choice the sauces.
Each offering from the bold warmth of green pepper sauce to the indulgent depth of truffled butter and the classic elegance of sauce béarnaise allowed the experience to shift slightly with every bite. Personally, I found myself returning to the béarnaise, its velvety texture and gentle acidity enhancing the steak without overshadowing it.
This is where the Tomahawk Experience truly excels not just in the quality of the meat, but in the way every element around it is designed to elevate, not compete.
Dessert arrived as both a contrast and a conclusion, the Raspberry Pavlova offering a light, airy finish to an otherwise indulgent journey.
The meringue was crisp on the outside, delicately soft within exactly as it should be while the tartness of the raspberries provided a refreshing balance. But what caught me by surprise, and in many ways defined the dish, was the avocado ice cream.
Unexpected, yes but remarkably well-executed.
It introduced a creamy, almost understated richness that worked beautifully against the brightness of the fruit.
Paired with the bitter chocolate-caramel sauce, the dessert achieved a layered complexity that felt both modern and thoughtfully composed.
It wasn’t overly sweet, nor was it trying to impress through excess. Instead, it closed the experience with the same philosophy that defined the evening -balance, precision, and quiet confidence.
As I leaned back, reflecting on the progression of the meal, it became clear that the Tomahawk Experience at Bentley’s Grill is not just about a signature dish -it is about storytelling.
From the freshness of the gravlax to the commanding presence of the Tomahawk, and finally to the refined subtlety of the pavlova, each course feels connected -part of a larger, carefully constructed narrative.
And as a lifestyle editor, constantly in pursuit of experiences that go beyond expectation, I can say this: this is not just a menu - it is a journey, one that stays with you long after the final course is served.
Great dining is as much about how you are served as what you are served. At Bentley’s Grill, hospitality feels intuitive -almost instinctive.
There is a rhythm to the service, a seamless choreography that unfolds without drawing attention to itself. Glasses are refilled before you notice they are empty. Plates arrive and depart with perfect timing. Questions are answered before they are fully formed.
It is this attentiveness, subtle yet ever-present that elevates the experience. There is no intrusion, no unnecessary formality. Instead, there is a quiet understanding of what the guest needs, and when.
From my perspective, it is the kind of service that doesn’t demand to be written about, yet inevitably earns its place on the page.
As the evening progressed, I found myself increasingly aware of the atmosphere. The soft hum of conversation, the gentle clink of glassware, the interplay of light and shadow, it all contributes to an environment that feels both dynamic and deeply calming.
Bentley’s Grill does not rush you. Courses are spaced with intention, allowing each moment to breathe. It is an approach that transforms dining into something more immersive -something closer to storytelling.
In many ways, the restaurant mirrors the structure of a wellcrafted article. There is an introduction, a build-up, a climax, and a resolution. And like any good narrative, it leaves you with a lingering sense of satisfaction.
As I stepped out into the Doha night, the experience lingered not just in memory, but in feeling. The Tomahawk Experience at Bentley’s Grill is not about extravagance for its own sake. It is about intention. It is about craftsmanship. It is about creating a moment that stays with you long after the table has been cleared.
For me, these are the stories worth telling the ones that go beyond description and into experience.
Bentley’s Grill has mastered that delicate balance between luxury and authenticity, between spectacle and substance. And in doing so, it offers something increasingly rare in today’s dining landscape: an experience that feels both timeless and deeply personal.

A PREMIUM SEVEN-SEAT SUV DESIGNED TO ELEVATE EVERY JOURNEY:
Motors Middle East & Africa, together with Qatar Automobile Company, launches the All-New Mitsubishi Destinator in Qatar

Mitsubishi Motors Middle East & Africa (MMMEA), jointly with Qatar Automobile Company, the distributor of Mitsubishi Motors in Qatar, has officially launched the all-new Mitsubishi Destinator— a three-row, seven-seat SUV developed to meet the evolving expectations of Middle Eastern families and modern drivers.
Built around Mitsubishi’s strategic proposition, “Grand Destinations Await,” the all-new Destinator marks a confident step forward in the brand’s SUV lineup, combining a commanding road presence with refined comfort in a versatile three-row layout.
The all-new Mitsubishi Destinator’s exterior design oozes a unique balance of strength and motion, anchored by the "Gravitas & Dynamism" design concept. The "Gravitas" element ensures an overwhelming presence and solidity, achieved through a road-commanding driver position and the proportions of an upscale, wide-stance SUV. Contrasting this solidity is "Dynamism," which expresses a design bursting with energy and motion. This fusion results in a vehicle that projects SUV toughness while promising the maneuverability to overcome the challenges of the road.
Exterior highlights such as a panoramic sunroof and hands-free tailgate enhance both style and everyday convenience, while the generous 214 mm of ground clearance ensures confidence on urban roads and in varied driving conditions. The all-new Destinator also features a commanding, large grille, aggressive LED headlights, sculpted bodywork, and 18-inch alloy wheels to ensure the passengers arrive with presence.

If there’s one area in which Mitsubishi Motors has always excelled, it is cabin design. The interior of the all-new Destinator is no exception. The modern cabin features synthetic leather seating with anti-temperature-rise treatment, dual-zone climate control with dedicated second- and third-row AC ventilation, USB charging points in all rows, and an impressive 25 storage spots.
The dashboard is dominated by a 12.3-inch infotainment display that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an eight-inch digital instrument cluster. Other key interior highlights include ambient lighting with 64 customizable colors, an 8-speaker Dynamic Sound Yamaha premium audio system that further elevates the in-cabin atmosphere, a hands-free tailgate, a wireless charger, and a panoramic sunroof operated via Smartphone Display Audio (SDA), ensuring that every journey feels composed and enjoyable.
The flagship SUV provides seating for seven in a classic three-row configuration, complemented by ample storage compartments throughout the cabin. When the second and third rows are folded flat, they reveal an expansive cargo bay ideal for gear, luggage, or larger items.
On the safety front, Mitsubishi has installed a range of driver-focused technologies and safety features in the Mitsubishi Destinator to provide peace of mind, including a 360-degree digital rearview camera, adaptive cruise control (ACC), Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), and Blind-Spot Warning (BSW), among other advanced safety features.
At the heart of the all-new Mitsubishi Destinator lies a highly efficient yet powerful 1.5-liter turbo engine, delivering 163 hp and 250 Nm of torque. This powertrain ensures smooth, controlled driving on highways, city roads, and desert routes. The four-cylinder mill is paired with a CVT transmission, sending power to the front wheels.
With Active Yaw Control (AYC) for added stability on slippery and curved roads and five drive modes for confident performance in any conditions, the flagship Destinator is engineered to adapt to every journey—equally ready for demanding workdays and weekend adventures.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Junya Takami, the President of Mitsubishi Motors Middle East & Africa (MMMEA), said: “The all-new Destinator is a testament to Mitsubishi Motors' evolution in the Middle East and Africa. We designed this vehicle with a clear vision: to offer a 'Confidence Booster' that elevates the daily lives of energetic families.

The all-new Destinator reflects our deep understanding of what today’s families value most—comfort, safety, and a sense of pride in what they drive— because truly, grand destinations await.”
