Hillary Clinton wants to become the first female president of the United States of America. She wants to allow same-gender marriages and she wishes to allow illegal immigrants the right to have driver’s licenses. Hillary also disapproves of Trans-Pacific Partnership that is being negotiated. This is different than her 2008 campaign where she opposed same-gender marriages and praised free trading. One foundation that Hillary was working for was the Clinton Foundation. This foundation many American school lunch programs and many farmers in Malawi, Rwanda, and Tanzania. It has also helped social enterprises in Latin America, the Caribbean, and South Asia. Another foundation is the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation. This foundation works to improve global health, promote health and wellness, strengthen economies, and protect the environment by having partnerships with many businesses and people. It does much the same type of thing that the Clinton Foundation does. Hillary’s religious beliefs are that of the Foundry United Methodist Church. This church welcomes many of those whom the Church would try to reform. It also opposes criminalizing abortion as a medical procedure. This makes the church more of a pro-choice than pro-life church in the denomination. Her political beliefs are that of being above the conflict and being in the middle. This belief is called triangulation. When she tried to use this in the past it did not work. She seems to take sides on any debate after the outcome has already been decided. With Hillary as the president, who knows what will happen in the future.

Could Kyle Burger be the murderer? Or is it Adam Poyner? Or Jade Wood? Who knows, anyone on the cast could receive the guilty verdict! See the Student Viewpoint Page for more behind-the-scenes pictures. from staff reporter

Attention: There is a murderer in the building! You had better be on your guard because anyone could be a suspect. Recently, though, Lakeside has received a tip on who the killer might be. The suspects can be found in Lakeside’s West Gym on Friday and Saturday, April 24th and 25th, at 7:00 p.m. If you are really cu-
rious as to who these people are, purchase tickets in the office---$4 for students and $7 for adults--ahead of time. They will also be available at showtime. Of course, people will be wondering who the murderer at Lakeside is, that is why it is important for you to come because YOU decide who receives the verdict… No pressure!
Forensics at state editor-in-chief

Last Friday, the forensics team traveled to Madison for the state competition. The team sent a perfect 25 out of 25 members to state. The team’s scored ranged from 19 to 25, with the majority receiving a perfect score of 25. Results about where the team placed will not be released until a later date. However, with Mr. Lauber’s digging, it is looking quite likely that the team will place in the top 5 of over 400 schools yet again. For the past few years, Lakeside has received the Excellence in Speech award, something that only the top 5% of schoools receive. Some members of the team will be featured on the front cover of Brooklyn Publishers Magazine out of New York for their success.
Seniors gave their final forensics performance at the state competition at UW Madison last Friday.

As a high school student, there are temptations all around, whether it be from friends, both from Lakeside or outside, coworkers, family, or people elsewhere. Peers can make doing the right thing feel silly, or even worse, “un-cool.” That can make it especially hard to keep in touch with God’s word and obey what he says. Keeping His commands may just not seem worth it at the time, or it could become forgotten altogether. In the long run, the opinions others have or keeping “cool” just really do not matter, and though the devil will keep on tempting, we are assured we are forgiven. Through Christ, everyone has been saved and because of that there should be no compromise between living for the world and living for Christ. So, keep away from the temptations of the world and stay with Christ, and heaven will not be a disappointment.
