Located in Hubbleton, less than 10 min. east of Waterloo, in the glorious State Glacial Heritage Area, Lakeside’s home course is one of the most scenic—and one of the most extreme—cross country courses in the area.

Run course features include: * 300’ vertical climbing * * Walta’s Wall: nearly 100 vertical feet in less than .2 mi, max grade 17.6% * If grinding it out with runners isn’t for you, enjoy the scenery! Walkers enjoy quiet, wooded trails & scenic hilltop vistas on well-groomed trails Kids’ Country Mile is nearer the start line this year with more spectator opportunities, fewer challenging climbs * T-shirts guaranteed for registrations in by 7/14 * * Refreshments courtesy of Kwik Trip, Pepsi Co. * * Door prizes * * Awards to winner by gender & age, Kids’ Mile & 5k/10k: grade school; high school–19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50+ *

From quiet, wooded trails to the scenic vistas on the hilltops, you can walk the well-groomed trails of the 5K course, taking in the beauty of this woodland preserve.

And as always, the Kids’ Country Mile is available to future Warriors looking for a bit shorter challenge.

This year, the mile course is nearer the start line, providing more spectator opportunities, and fewer of the course’s most challenging climbs.
