A MESSAGE FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR As a parent, a teacher, and now as Executive Director, I am constantly amazed at how God continues to build His Kingdom by transforming the hearts and minds of Lakeside students year after year. This viewbook is to serve as a window into the learning and growth occurring every day. We passionately love the Lord and are deeply rooted in his love and grace. Lakeside Lutheran High School strives daily to “educate, encourage and equip” our students through the five core values laid out in this book.

Lakeside stands out as a school established and called by God to lead an ever-growing number of students throughout Jefferson and its surrounding counties to know and love Him, to equip them with a Christian worldview and a strong academic foundation, and to enable them to discover and develop their God-given gifts for lifelong Christian leadership and service. The leadership of the school is committed to the mission and vision of the school while staying actively engaged in strategic planning so that our students and staff will always have the greatest opportunities available to learn and to grow.

“Jesus is here not only every day but in every space and every activity, whether he is the subject of conversation or not.

In a public school he has to stay inside me; here we talk about him and share him freely.”

Our focus on faith and high academic standards set a standard for excellence now that continues into the future. Whether grads join the workforce, attend a technical college or four-year university, secure an apprenticeship or enlist in the military, we consistently hear from business leaders, colleges, and employers who comment on the advantage they have in hiring or enrolling Warrior grads who are dedicated to excellence.

FAMILY

Fostering and maintaining an environment where our students, families and staff feel safe, fortified and loved encourages a peaceful, cooperative setting. As each person models Christ by placing others before self, this Christian family-focus means we apply the humility of the law and the unconditional love of the gospel in all circumstances.

Family takes on many faces. Whether it’s families on campus for “Grandparents Day” (visiting class, top far right), “Pastors Day” (bottom, far right), sports team who

pray together like family, or even bus or homeroom “fams,” shared values in activities and events makes for a more

I get to see them during the school year as they learn about God and let their light shine through their actions. But seeing them tell others about Jesus, seeing them serve people, and seeing them pray with complete strangers is an unbelievable experience for me. I am so proud of them. ACCOUNTABILITY Being committed to reliability and personal responsibility, our staff and ministry honor our words and promises to students, to families and to each other. Taking ownership of our work and promptly correcting mistakes to the greatest extent possible demonstrates this value.

STAKEHOLDERS Whether it’s parents, federation members, alum volunteers, donors, or employees, LLHS works to share updates on the state of the school using genuine, transparent methods. In addition to campus administration, we are governed by two volunteer boards—a General Board, comprised of federation delegates, and a 13-member Board of Regents, elected by the General Board.

“Our family has watched Lakeside mature as a school and a ministry. I witnessed my father serve on the site committee that negotiated the purchase of the 33-acre Lake Mills site. I was involved in the formation of LLHS Boosters, served on the Foundation and as an administrator of the volunteer resale store that gifted LL over $500,000 last year. Through all the ups and downs, active and quiet times, I feel extremely privileged to be a part of this body of believers that indeed give ‘all glory to God’ in all respects.”

Among its auxiliaries are a Warrior Club that supports athletics, a Music Parents Organization (MPO), and an FFA Alumni chapter.

Good Stewards, Inc. is the governing board of 100% volunteer-run Twice is Nice Resale in Jefferson, Wis. Since its beginning in 1993, over $6.25 million has been given in support of Lakeside’s ministry.

Several publications geared toward specific audiences are available, including current & future LL families (Advantage magazine & Warrior Weekly e-news); alum and supporters (Link magazine); the LLHS Giving Society (Legacy magazine); the monthly Federation Connection e-newsletter; and our comprehensive website, llhs.org.
