WELCOME HOME TO YOUR LAKESIDE LUTHERAN Decade. A span of ten years. There is nothing unique about the word decade - unless you are a Lakeside Lutheran Warrior.

Decades of Faithfulness. This is our school year theme for 2018-2019. It reminds us of the love, the mercy, and, of course, the faithfulness of the Lord upon our beloved school for six decades.

60 years of his faithfulness. In that time, he has blessed Lakeside in ways that even its original founders could not have imagined: • an attractive 33-acre campus, • outdoor facilities to serve growing and diverse programs, and • a building to meet the needs of a thriving student body.

Yet, there is one more blessing whose influence and value far exceeds any already mentioned. God’s Word—taught in every classroom—provides the foundation for Lakeside’s curriculum and the life of the Lakeside family. It permeates all instruction and activity. It unites the student body—alumni included—into a family who “are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:26, New Living Translation).

The next time you see the word decade, take a moment to give thanks to your God who has so faithfully blessed Lakeside and made it into his school that faithfully shares his Word. Welcome home to Warriors of all decades! God bless your homecoming.
