WELCOME HOME TO YOUR LAKESIDE LUTHERAN In 1940, Thomas Wolf wrote You Can’t Go Home Again. It is the account of a successful novelist who used his family members and the people of his hometown as characters in his latest work. Outraged by what they read about themselves, these people drove him away. Having nowhere to go, the novelist traveled the world under the spectre of the impending world war. Eventually, he returned home and rediscovered what he originally left.

Unlike the novel’s title, you have come home--to Lakeside. Although your alma mater may changed since graduation, it still encourages that sense of family you experienced when you attended here.

That feeling is heightened by the unity of faith that we share as brothers and sisters in Christ, our Savior—a unity that only a handful of other schools can provide.

This year, we again use the words Educate, Equip, and Encourage as focus words in our biennial theme. Although they each have an educational purpose, they also highlight the spiritual training that every Lakeside student receives in order to become a Warrior who serves the Lord and fellow men throughout this life.

Welcome home, Warriors. Indeed, You Can Come Home Again!

WARRIOR DODGEBALL: #THISISSERIOUS

Warriors certainly live up to their name when it comes to the annual tradition of the HoCo Monday Dodgeball tournament. What starts with 8 teams -- 2 from each class -- is quickly down to one from each grade. Seniors then take on frosh, while sophs battle juniors; losers play for 3rd. For the third time in 4 years, the same class of 2018 team took the championship, but the victors are happy to share the title with all the mighty seniors. Warrior Dodgeball = serious stuff.
