Changes

Once again there are changes all over the grounds of Lakeside.

* Walls were knocked down, holes were dug, cement was poured and now we have a new entrance that's nearly complete.

* A new Lakeside lawn monument was built and installed on Woodland Beach Road ... with backlights that shine at night.

* Eight brand new staff faces have been added or replaced some familiar faces who were at Lakeside for years.

* In May, 118 seniors left our nest and began new and exciting chapters in their lives. No more than 3 months later, 148 brand new, wide-eyed students appeared in our hallways. It aches my heart to see the nervousness in their faces, but thankfully that nervousness is replaced by smiles a week or so later.

Whether we want it or not, our lives are constantly changing. Sometimes change brings excitement and at other times change can bring fear and sadness.

We do have one entity that will never change: God and his Word. As Hebrews 13:8 states

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

That means Jesus' forgiveness for our sins is secured. Jesus will return to this earth and a perfect Heaven will be our home.

A message from Steve Lauber, Recruitment Director

What do you think? Does Mr. Lauber change? This pic is him in a statebound forensics team photo in May 2010, his third year of teaching at Lakeside. That's almost 15 years ago!
