How much do you like math?

Many do ... but perhaps many more of us ... Don’t. Like. Math. It can be tough! Yet, no matter what school you attend, you cannot avoid math class. For some of us, the idea of high school math class is exciting. Perhaps you’ve heard about Lakeside’s AH-MAZE-ING group of “mathletes” — teams that win conference titles and Madison league meets time after time? (We’d love to have you join the team!) But maybe you’re a bit worried about keeping up with high school math— why do they need to add the alphabet to numbers, anyway?!

Wherever you land on the love/hate spectrum for math class, Lakeside has good news for you. Mr. Lauber just wrapped up his annual December visits to almost 20 area schools where many 8th graders take our math placement tests. What’s that for, you ask? Incoming Warriors will have at least four different levels of math from which to find their best fit, and these tests help Lakeside Guidance get them in the right math classroom next fall!

While test takers were wondering why someone would buy 43 watermelons in the first place and make a word problem with them, they let Mr. Lauber snap a pic. Good to see you, future Warriors! (and special thanks to TSL first-year principal, Mr. Phil Gustafson, for bringing the “office” Christmas cheer).

Thanks for having us!

Didn’t get a chance to take the test? We’d be happy to work something out. Contact Admissions Director Mr. Lauber (slauber@llhs.org or 920-648-2321 x 2218) to schedule a conversation!
