s the holiday season returns, we are again reminded to pause and give thanks for the many blessings in our own lives and the lives of our families. Your Lakeside family is indeed blessed ... with a faithful and dedicated faculty and staff ... with respectful students who are growing in faith and using their gifts daily in class, in chapel, and in extracurricular activities ... with facilities that are well maintained and in great condition. As we look to the future, may the Lord continue to bless our plans with the prayerful, generous support of family like YOU! Best of all, we remember together that most treasured blessing we have been given—our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. Luke 2:11 What an amazing gift—God’s grace through our risen Savior—that reassures us that he loves us and wants us in heaven with him. There is no greater gift than knowing what awaits us.

You gave, we give. all 2023 GT gifts go to LLHS Financial Aid. Support for Christian education on Giving Tuesday reached $32,784 to aid more students who want the Christ-centered education your Lakeside offers. With prayers, gifts, and a generous match, we are excited to pay it forward. Every gift matters—just ask the students and families receiving aid.

Fellowship

Members of the Chi Fellowship, through the fruit of the Holy Spirit, have provided a single gift of less than $1,000 during the last year to Lakeside Lutheran High School. With the Greek letter Chi so evident in our churches and schools, your association with this fellowship is a reminder of God’s love, and every gift is significant to Lakeside.

Cathy Meier Lakeside has always had a special place in my heart.

I enjoyed my time as a student (‘95 grad) and our older daughters have also had great experiences.

Lakeside was always on our radar for high school.

We chose Lakeside for the Christian education our children would get, as well as the variety of activities our girls could get involved with. Our girls have a wide range of gifts, talents, and interests, and Lakeside had something for all of them. At right is a list of the varied activities our teen girls participated in. This is just a small sampling of the co-curricular activities available. There is something for every student to get involved in. Now, as a member of the faculty, I see so many students get involved in the many activities, clubs, and teams Lakeside has to offer. It is wonderful to see them grow and use their gifts and talents. Each student is unique and a blessing from God. Married to Bill, the Meiers have four girls: Elise (LL ‘20), Audrey (‘22), Maria (‘24) and Ruby, gr. 2. In addition to visiting many African and European countries, “my family and I lived in Malawi, Africa from 2001-2007. We then lived in Portugal for 18 months. I still miss Malawi!”

Rho

Fellowship

Members of the Rho Fellowship, with the Lord’s guidance, have provided multiple gifts totaling less than $1,000 within the last year to Lakeside Lutheran High School. The Greek letters Rho and Chi form the symbol for Christ. This symbol, displayed in the center of our school seal, serves as a reminder that Christ is the center of our faith at Lakeside. Through this faith we return our blessings to continue his work.

As a thank you for your gifts we offer you membership in the Rho Fellowship, a subscription to The Legacy and also invite you to attend the fellowship events that have been planned for you.

I’ve been teaching a long time, and the longer I teach, the more I see the importance of a Christian education. Lakeside is a great place to feed your faith.

I can truly say that every member of the faculty and all of our staff at Lakeside have a love for this school and a love for their Savior that shows in all that they do. Day in and day out they are giving it their best to give teens the best Christian education they can get. I’ve only been walking the halls of Lakeside for three years, but it has been an honor and a privilege to work with so many incredibly talented people.

However, what makes Lakeside such an awesome place are the students. They are amazing in so many ways. Smart, athletic, personable, and lovers of their Lord. It’s so easy to love Lakeside when you see so many great kids. I absolutely love how much school spirit they have. It really means something to them to be a Lakeside Warrior and that is a pretty special thing to be a part of.

May God continue to grant richest blessings on our Lakeside Lutheran! I pray that we will be impressing the gospel of our Lord and Savior on these young adults for many years to come.

John is in his 32nd year of teaching. He and his wife, Mary, have been blessed with 5 children who have all decided to share God’s grace as teachers in our WELS school system.

The Dorns are members at St. Paul, Lake Mills.

his days as Assistant Principal for Student Life, Anatomy teacher, and in audio/visual duties, John finds time for fun at school, like “wigging up” to match the real hair of his fellow teacher and son, Eric, on HoCo “beach day.”

Fellowship

Members of the Kentro Fellowship have offered a gift or returned a commitment card to Lakeside Lutheran High School of $1,000 or more for the year. The Greek word, Kentro, meaning center, leads us to reflect on Christ as the center of our lives. Through him we receive these blessings and are encouraged to offer them up to His glory.

The Lord has blessed our Free to Act debt-free efforts.

To date, we’ve received commitments of nearly twothirds of the approximately $3M needed to accomplish Phase 2. The goal remains to accomplish Phase 2 debt-free!

» Expansion of cafeteria by 2,600 ft2 (doubling current space) » Allows seating for over 300 students per lunch period » Maximizes serving space for easier and quicker serving time » Accommodates growing enrollment with expanded kitchen prep space
