For over two months, an impossibility became a reality. The Vegas Strip went dark in mid-March, leaving the entertainment capital of the world without shows for locals and tourists alike.

“Brilliant minds on and off the stage here in Las Vegas have worked tirelessly during the current health crisis to get those lights shining on the Strip again,” said Adam Steck, the CEO and founder of leading theatrical production company SPI Entertainment.

From marketing, advertising, and public relations, to talent booking and contracting to show management, SPI Entertainment does it all. Having affiliations with many of your favorite shows through the years, the successful company currently has seven buzzed-about shows on Las Vegas Boulevard. With the city’s casinos planning to reopen, SPI is busy getting shows booked for the town’s various showrooms and venues.

As of right now, tickets are being sold for five of these awardwinning shows. Australia’s Human Nature Sings Motown & More has the earliest show dates to have tickets available, scheduled to hit the stage at the Venetian Hotel &

Casino June 15. The show features a mix of classic Motown, pop, soul, and modern hits.

The Excalibur Hotel & Casino has three big shows all starting July 1: Hans Klok, The Australian Bee Gees, and Australia’s Thunder From Down Under. With over 50 mind-blowing illusions packed into each show, Klok, who is billy as the “World’s Fastest Magician,” mesmerizes audiences of all ages. Every night, you will catch Saturday Night Fever with the Australian Bee Gees. And the No. 1 male revue in the world, Australia’s Thunder From Down Under, heats up the stage 13 shows a week.

One of the most truly iconic R&B groups in music history, Boyz II Men returns to the Mirage, also on July 1. With countless Grammy, American Music, Soul Train, and Billboard awards, the “Boyz” bring their iconic hits Philly-style for one of the most exciting Vegas parties you can attend.

“I believe in my heart that Las Vegas will be back and be better than ever,” Steck said. “People are pent up and want to come here to Vegas and let loose and we want them to feel they are in a safe environment. We will be implementing some guidelines as far as capacity, seating, and sanitation to ensure this.”

Please note that things can change at any moment. For now, tickets for all these amazing shows are available on the Hotel/Casino websites. For those of you that can not make it out to Sin City, the Thunder From Down Under will bring Sin City to you with live steam performances in the works.

Also, keep an eye and an ear out for a possible return of the first Vegas show to go right to Broadway, the Mike Tyson Undisputed Truth, Round 2.

Berg: Nunes headlines card at UFC 250 Saturday

Continued from p14 Circa Sports is offering the best return on Spencer at +525. Nunes is a very popular fighter but most straight bettors will stay away or flip on Spencer due to the odds. However the books might need Spencer if a lot of favorites come in on the undercard that will likely be parlayed to Nunes.

This feels like a fight if it happened in a couple years Spencer might be the one that could end Nunes’ dominance. Although I think Spencer has a ton of ability, grit and can win this fight, I don’t think she has reached the level yet that Nunes occupies.

That said, in the fight game any night can be the underdog’s night. Spencer will look to continue the main event trend in UFC where every underdog has won their fight since returning from hiatus due to the coronavirus.

As you know from following my articles, I am never going to recommend backing someone who’s -600 unless I think the price is off about four or five dollars.

Professionals will play with much less edge than that, but for me personally, this isn’t far enough off to recommend the champ. Being patient can lead to success depending on the betting markets.

Undercard at Apex

As for the undercard, although I usually don’t play against line moves, I’d take a shot on UFC veteran Alex Caceres +150 at South Point. His opponent Chase Hooper has plenty of talent but is very young and has some holes in his game which a veteran like Caceres should find a way to exploit.

Aljamain Sterling and Cory Sandhagen face off with the winner getting a UFC bantamweight title shot (recently vacated by retired champion Henry Cejudo). I am going to back Sterling in what amounts to a fairly priced pick’em type fight. Sterling’s finally back on the climb to the title shot many analysts thought he was destined for prior to his KO loss to Marlon Moraes.

Lastly, look at Raphael Assuncao +125 at BetMGM over Cody Garbrandt. Garbrandt was on top of the world as UFC bantamweight champion, but two straight KO losses to TJ Dillashaw and one to Pedro Munhoz amounts to three in a row. I can’t lay it in that fight.
