REIMAGINING THE HOUSE Model components and significance
The wood. The wood cutting supports the layout of the house allowing a progression to the top. The lifeless and flaring log illustrates the dying conformities of the modern home and around it blooms the reimagined. The wood symbolises the old ideas and allows new ones to form around them.

The floors. Each level expresses a position illustrated in assignment 2. The journey of the house that was discuss has been drastically altered to allow the illusion of comfort and safety to be expressed. The dweller in the home must confront daring spaces which challenges their previous living conditions. The end of the journey leads to the dinning and deck spaces where the illusion can be fully perceived.
The form. In places the wood begins to explore out and spill into the reimagined zone which places the old as the backbone for the new. To reveal the illusion one must express its structure and form. The forms are derived from the journey scaling up the wood cutting, moving in and out of ‘challenge points’ or moments of clarity where the illusion is expressed.
