Ambient Mood Change Spell The easiest way to shift the mood of a room is to scent it. There is risk with this option. Fragrance also backfires far too easily, because of asthma, allergies, and aversion. Please remember that a scent need not be strong to be potent.

While incense works best, as the burning stick has some clearing qualities, the following recipe is for a spray.

This may not last as long as incense but also does not get the smell in the carpet in a way that won’t come out.

It also uses the (to most) innocuous scent of vanilla.

Since human drama is a daily occurrence in a city, making this light fragrance and keeping it on hand can come in handy, especially if you share a hallway with that couple that always has that epic fight on Saturday nights.

YOU WILL NEED:

• A place to heat water (a stove is ideal, but this can happen in a hot pot)

• A few drops of vanilla extract

• A small amount of vodka (to preserve)

Heat the water to a simmer and add a few drops of the vanilla extract.

The smell should be faint, but present.
