To the Winged Ones, who have never left our side. You who carry the first scream and the last breath, who eat silence and return it as song. You who perch on thresholds and whisper through dreams, who circle when we speak and fly when we scream. You remind us that every inhale is a choice, every word rearranges matter, every feather is a key. This book is for you—the unseen breath at our shoulder, the hum in our chest, the wind that clears the lies from our story. May these pages be carried on your wings, and may we remember, always, how to fly.

INTRODUCTION

Prepare yourself for the unbelievable story: the one you were told to forget, the one that speaks to you in the wind and in dreams that you almost remember but remain out of reach.

The story we are seeking doesn’t follow rules. It rides the winds of your thoughts, beliefs, and breaths. This book is going to take you on a flight of wonder to examine what you believe to be true about yourself and then rewrite it. This story lives in the air you breathe, the words you speak, the thoughts you carry, and the beliefs that have shaped who you are today.

You have already cast the spell that created today with every belief you’ve allowed yourself to hold up until now. What you believe about yourself, about each story you’ve already lived, and about real magic, the kind that changes everything about your life, can and will be rewritten when you seek the unbelievable story.

In this book we are going to study magic, the kind that creates immediate change in your life. On the great wheel of time, we now sit in the east and its element of air. When we are in the east, we are still studying magic,

the sacred kind, but it’s different from the earth magic we studied in the first book of the Sacred Magic series in the north. To study magic in the east is to study the stories you’ve been told and how they’ve shaped your beliefs and then examine them, one by one, and transform them through imagination and possibility. When we take what we have believed about ourselves and replace it with possibility and imagination, we build entire new worlds. When we build new worlds, we are free to create anything we desire to experience. There is no limit to possibility when we sit in the east (except for the ones that you believe exist).

To find your story, though, you will need to look for the threads of truth that connect to both your past and your future. When you look for the threads, you’ll be looking at the rhythm of the longings that live so deep inside you that you’ll first need to unwind the outer layers you’ve used to keep the threads hidden. The threads of truth are like little golden hues of light in the center of a ball of yarn that is tangled and tied up tight. When you begin to unravel the yarn, one tangle at a time, your soul will change and the possibilities of the kind of future you can create will emerge.

When you begin this unraveling to find the golden threads of truth at the center, the spirits of the east will swirl into your field and remind you that, to find the unbelievable story, you must go deeper and deeper until those little golden threads match the ones you loved to play with as a child.

This isn’t a book where you will only find a list of air magic tools and what type of feather to use on the east side of your altar. Here, we will travel deeper into the unseen worlds both within and around you. Then I will give you tools to aid you in writing a new unbelievable story about your unique form of sacred magic. The meaning of the east on the path of sacred magic lies in your ability to see yourself inside the story and remember that you are creating the story every single day with the thoughts you think over and over. What you think about repeatedly becomes your beliefs, which then become the story you are living. We are going to rewrite that story on this journey together.

We are going to rewrite the story with sound and vibration. The unbelievable story is the future truth your soul is ready to live, but it has been buried under what you believe is possible. It’s there, though, and it sounds

like birds singing on a spring morning when the sun is just beginning to rise. The version of your story that I’m speaking of is unique and magical. It’s so magical that the old you wouldn’t recognize the new you that is living the unbelievable version. This story is not a fantasy. It’s a frequency. It’s a living imprint of what becomes possible when you release the old beliefs that were never yours and begin writing from the voice of your own becoming.

The unbelievable story is where spells take root, breath becomes creation, and belief becomes magic. It’s the elusive star in this book, but it’s not fixed. The story, like life, can change and grow as quickly or as slowly as a cloud that is floating through the sky one minute and gone the next. The unbelievable story evolves as you evolve. And your story isn’t meant to be believable to anyone else—it’s just for you. The work required to write this story is meant to stretch you toward truth, activate your magic, and remind you that if the story you’re living doesn’t feel sacred, it’s not the whole story.

I’ll be your guide in this process, with part storytelling and part teaching. This combination is needed to show you what is possible when we dive into sacred magic. Along the way you’ll experience both the wild and magical and the decayed and painful, because both are components that lead us to the experience of the spiral path to truth.

My own story is unbelievable, sometimes even to myself. People often ask if it’s just me who has these wild, magical experiences and moments of unexplainable phenomena. I tell them no, because I know their stories of triumph and resilience are the same type of phenomena. The difference is the lens through which the story is viewed. That lens—your beliefs—is what determines how you tell the story.

This book is going to challenge the beliefs you have about yourself, about magic, and about my ability to tell you stories so wild that you’ll wonder if I’m telling you a tale or a truth. What you believe about your own magic and the power to change your beliefs will be a direct link to how deeply you can receive what I share and then look back at your own life and find the threads of magic in your story. That’s the magic I’m speaking of.

Then you can tell others about your unbelievable stories. I know you have them. I know you’ve survived them. And I also know part of the reason

you don’t speak of them is because you believe you will be judged for the wild and crazy—and often painful—way you have lived your life.

Sound about right? It does to me. I know because that has been me.

Finding the Rays of Light

There are a thousand rays of light energy radiating in the space between where you are right now and where you were an hour ago. The light and energy that fills up all the seemingly empty space around you is full of activity that your limited human eyesight cannot detect. But what your eyes cannot take in, your body can feel, your ears can hear, and your nose can smell. You need only sit outside in nature on a fresh spring day and close your eyes to know this is true. Any time you sit outside with your eyes closed, your other senses wake up and you realize how much your eyes tell your brain about what’s going on, often completely bypassing your other senses. When your eyes are open and you’re hustling through a busy life, your thoughts and beliefs create a foggy lens and your other senses are dimmed.

The space between you and this book you are holding in your hands is filled with an entire universe of vital energy that you cannot see or touch, yet it is there and is filled with what you think is there. If you think it is empty, it is. If you think it is full of possibility, it will be.

The Evolving Story

My own unbelievable story is a work in progress, and it continually evolves. It’s like a blanket of fog that at times looks scary and conceals what’s on the other side, but then the sun appears and the fog evaporates and I can see clearly. That’s magic.

Our stories are the same: They keep us wondering in fear of what’s next. You’ll stay in fear of what’s next until you look at the fear and explore why it’s there in the first place. Once you do, a ray of sun will dissolve the fog. Our beliefs create the fog. Our life experiences create the beliefs that are often too painful to let go of. Magic isn’t just about manifesting; it’s also about letting go in order to make space for something new.

If you believe nothing ever goes right and your life is always hard, then it will be.

If you believe your life teaches you valuable lessons and resiliency, then you will grow.

If you believe that your life is full of both joy and passion, then it is.

If you believe that you can experience all emotions and still find peace and happiness, then you will find sacred magic. That’s what we are doing when we create the unbelievable story.

When we choose to study magic (and ourselves) and what we learn changes us, we discover what is sacred in our lives and where the magic can be found. That’s what we’re here for.

The Winds of Change

Our life experiences can feel big and even traumatic because we carry the belief that life should be easy, that if we do the right things and seek the right career, relationship, or material items, we can then coast on cruise control and move along with ease.

The opposite of that is true, and this is the first belief I’m going to dispel for you: Part of life is knowing it’s not always meant to be easy. In order to experience high levels of joy, you have to know deep levels of pain. Otherwise you will have nothing with which to compare the joy. Like a tree, the deeper the roots grow, the higher the branches reach.

Our soul, spirit, life path, and growth path go through cycles over and over again. We cycle through the elements in each of these spirals and pass through many layers of initiation, which is an awakening of our senses and wisdom along the way. By initiation, I mean discovering how incredibly resilient you are, how capable you are of learning and growing, and how the wisdom you gain through life leads to a new level or a rebirth. That’s what initiation is: allowing your old self to die and a new version to be born. Being born again and again is the magic I speak of.

I also know that you see your story from a limited perspective. The limited perspective we all hold is due to the limitations of what we’ve been told, especially when we were young.

Trust me, I know, because I too kept my deepest desires and longings hidden for almost forty years of my life, afraid of being judged as being (in my case) too much. I carried around others’ beliefs about me for so long that

they became my identity, because I believed them without taking a single moment to consider if I (yes, me) believed they were true.

I’ve been told that I’m too much for many people because of my big energy and my direct approach to taking on big challenges and risks. I’ve been told I’m different, intimidating, or just a lot. Different is the word that has often been used to describe me, and I’ve wondered, different from what? What is the definition of different? I can answer that question myself now because I know I’m just different from what some people choose to believe about themselves and how they fit into the world. I’m different from their version of what I’m “supposed” to be. I also know that I’m judged as being “too much” because I’m not what society says a successful “feminine” woman should be.

For more than half my life, I believed this story every single time I heard it—until I stepped out of the belief of what success looks and feels like that I had been taught to accept.

Stepping into the Spiral

All the fluffy, sun-filled new days that the east represents are magical, and we’ll explore those here. But the true power of the east and the element of air is understanding that the greatest new beginning you will every experience in your life is the one that comes after you’ve taken apart each belief you hold about yourself.

Then your own unbelievable story will arrive, carrying with it the breath of possibility.

That’s the power of the east.

Where the Unbelievable Story Is Found

We’ll study air magic and seek the unbelievable story by exploring all aspects of your beliefs until you understand yourself more deeply. When you understand yourself at this level of truth, it will feel like the deepest breath you’ve ever taken.

We’ll start by examining the physical and spiritual properties of the element of air, then move on to how air moves through sound and vibration. You’ll find medicine in awakening your voice.

Then we’ll move into crafting the new story you are writing with the support of the natural world and plants that will guide you on your journey.

Beliefs will be torn apart to create a new place to determine what you actually believe to be true about yourself and the magic you have within you.

We’ll explore the spring of your soul, which is where the east and the element of air sit. Both represent the spring, the dawn of a new day, and fresh new beginnings.

You’ll learn how to reset your spaces to reflect these new beliefs and the power of energy in your unbelievable story.

We’ll dream in the east, with our spirit guides and guardians, and call upon the winged beings to bring messages from the other worlds.

Your psychic gifts that come through smell, sound, and vibration will awaken to higher levels, and you will journey in the east to find the history of your soul.

You’ll do all this by selecting one belief at a time and exploring it more deeply, and I will provide rituals and practical tools to use to get started right away.

I’m known for making big, bold claims, and I’m telling you now with certainty that when you redefine your beliefs and focus on rewriting your story, you will free the deep desires that sit in your heart, giving them wings to fly. I’m claiming right here and now that the unbelievable story will be the key to unlocking your greatest desires and magic that is so big and so fantastical that you’ll wonder if you are living in a dream.

Riding the Circular Wheel

Air is not dense and heavy like the element of earth or the weight of water. It’s quick, sharp, clear, and expansive.

In the four books of the Sacred Magic series, we are exploring the element in each direction, and we are looking at how each part of you is represented in each direction. When we look at each of these areas through each of the directions, we get one step closer to the holy grail of life, the most sacred of magic. This stop on the path in the east will be an excavation of

how your beliefs and thoughts have created where you are now and how to change them so as to be aligned with the truth of who you are.

Your body is connected to the earth (the north).

Your beliefs are connected to the air (the east).

Your passion is connected to fire (the south).

Your emotions can be found in water (the west).

It’s all connected and it’s all sacred.

This is not your first time around the spiral path of magic. In fact, I would say the east is where you often long to be: at the beginning, at the starting place of something new, something possible.

One Gigantic Ritual

This is my life’s work, guiding you to remember what has always been true and has been buried underneath a lifetime of conditioning from others and from society. I won’t force you to remember everything you’ve been taught, but I will guide you with my words and our shared breath. We will go deep into the ingrained thoughts that you might not even know are there. We will explore the whispers of beliefs that are so deep, they live beneath your skin, waiting for the right gust of wind to set them free. That’s the kind of magic I teach.

The first book in the Sacred Magic series began in the north. Here in second book in the east, where your breath begins, where the sun rises, is where stories are born. This is the place of ideas, where the voice and the mind can be unshackled from the past. It’s where you learn that what you believe creates everything and where you discover that anything taught to you can be unlearned.

My life has become one gigantic ritual of rewriting beliefs and finding my own unbelievable story—and not just my story, but also the inherited collective story, the story built over centuries with old beliefs handed down through bloodlines and burned into the flesh of those who were different.

I’m not here to gently rearrange what you think to be true; I’m here to tear holes in the ceiling and let the wind rush through.

I am a witch and a woman, a warrior and a passionate lover of life, a spellcaster and a storm walker. My life is made of incantations, intentions, and deep communion with the unseen. I speak to spirits and listen to trees. I chase the wisdom of the wind and gather it like seeds in my palms. I don’t just teach magic. I live it, measure it, and use it to create the blueprint of my life. I change with one spell, one thought, and one breath at a time.

I am a witch and a high priestess and the founder of the Moon Temple Mystery School, a place where we not only study magic (transformation) but also practice it as a powerful force for change. I teach people how to remember who they were before they were told who to be. I do this instead of just teaching spellwork because I know that no spell can overcome a belief you are holding on to so tightly that there is no room for fresh air to enter. Once we’ve excavated and reframed our beliefs, we can put spellwork in motion.

I have studied with shamans, oracles, shadow walkers, wisdom keepers, witches, and mystics. My greatest teachers continue to be the students I teach, as each and every life that changes as a result of the work I do teaches me more about myself.

I am not here to convince you of anything. I am here to invite you to let go of the lies you’ve been carrying and see what rushes in when the mind unclenches. I want you to say the thing out loud that you’ve never said before, the thing that makes your voice shake and your ribs ache and your eyes sting.

I don’t want your agreement. I want your permission—your permission to ask the questions you’ve buried beneath logic and falsehoods, your permission to feel what you’ve numbed, your permission to fly again, even if your wings are still sore from the last time you crashed and felt broken. Broken wings heal. This book will not just shift what you think but will also change how you breathe. And if you let it, it will strip the weight from your tongue and allow your voice to come back to life.

You don’t have to call yourself a witch. But if you’re here reading this, it’s because something inside you is ready for more. There is a part of you that knows what I’m speaking of, and it rings true inside your body. I know you

hear it. It sounds like a symphony of wind-blown trees, flapping wings, and the hush of something ancient stirring in the sky.

The unbelievable story will be the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow that takes us through the spiral path and lands in the east. It’s in the east where we take that sweet joy of possibility and apply it to what is still lurking beneath the surface, your beliefs and thoughts. Once you change those, you change your future. Your future is based on the unbelievable story you will be telling with this book as your map and me as your guide.

Let’s begin.

1 FOUNDATIONS OF SACRED MAGIC

Here in the east on the path of sacred magic, you will take a deep dive into working with your beliefs, sound, and the power of your voice. This chapter will guide you in how to work with the whispers of the east and what to expect in the coming chapters of this book. You’ll learn how to implement basic rituals and practices in the first half of each chapter, followed by deeper practices in the second half. On the path we are walking, we will explore the deepest layers of transformation and how to honor this time as a sacred new beginning on the spiral path of magic. Here are the steps to make the most of this book:

1. Read all the way through the book once, implementing at least once practice or ritual per chapter as you go. You can mark the pages with a pen or fold down the corners you want to return to

or make notes in the margins of what you’ve tried and what you want to return to.

2. Each chapter will provide you with a tarot/oracle card reading to get you started. You can use tarot or oracle cards to gain insight into where you currently are at and where you can focus your intentions moving forward.

3. Use the journal prompts at the end of each chapter to explore how you feel in the east.

Journaling

Use a blank notebook of any kind to track your time in the east. Make it yours by writing your name in it and adding drawings, symbols, or ideas that come to you as you go along. There are several options to choose from with each journal prompt at the end of each chapter. Choose one and repeat it for as many days as needed until you feel the question has been answered. This work will change you. That’s the point.

Begin by consecrating your journal and tools for your time in the east. To consecrate something is to mark it as sacred. When you mark anything as sacred, you are intentionally turning it into a tool to use for magic and for your own transformation.

Hold your journal in your hands and breathe your intention into it. Write your name inside the cover and add a mark, a symbol, a word, or something from nature (a petal, a bit of ash, a few grains of salt) to make it yours. This is no longer just a notebook; it is a container for your magic.

Altars

Altars are living rituals—physical spaces that hold energy, intention, and reflection. Throughout this book, altars serve as potent tools to anchor your magic, helping you attune to the element of air as we journey through the east. Altars shape your environment to support the mental clarity, openness, and wisdom of air magic. You’ll discover several approaches to altar work in the sacred spaces section of this book (chapter 7).

For now, think of an altar as an extension of yourself, ever evolving, just like your thoughts, beliefs, and dreams. There is no single “right” way to create an altar. The suggestions here are for inspiration, not strict rules.

Whether you dedicate an entire corner of a room to a full elemental altar or simply place a feather or crystal on your windowsill, the key is that your altar feels vibrant, alive, and resonant. Altars connect you to the air, literally and energetically, reminding you that your home can be just as sacred as the open sky or a gentle breeze through the trees. Bring elements of air into your space, such as feathers, incense, chimes, or symbolic representations of flight. Refresh your altars regularly. Cleanse them with smoke or your breath. Sit with them and let your ideas flow freely.

Over time, you may choose to create altars specific to each direction or maintain a central space that evolves. Whatever you choose, let your altars become sanctuaries of clarity, inspiration, and mental renewal.

Rituals Versus Spells

Everything I share in this book can truly be understood only when you bring it into your own practice, through your senses and your own lived experience. Knowledge by itself is helpful, but feeling and experiencing the magic firsthand is how the unseen worlds whisper to us. The east is the direction of clarity, intuition, and new ideas. The rituals and spells in each chapter are aligned so you can implement change immediately, to move as swiftly as the air does.

A ritual is an intentional sequence of symbolic actions usually performed in a meaningful order. It can be a simple act you do every day without thinking much about it, such as opening a window each morning to let fresh air into your home or pausing to take a deep breath before starting your workday. A ritual can also mark an important transition or a significant moment, offer protection or gratitude, or help you align with energies greater than yourself. Rituals create connection through symbolic actions, such as chants, gestures, prayers, incense, and other meaningful steps.

Spells are intentional rituals designed specifically to produce a desired outcome or shift through spiritual or magical energy. While both rituals and spells involve intentional actions performed for spiritual reasons, spells

have a clear purpose or desired result, whereas rituals often serve a broader purpose. Rituals are generally meant to deepen your spiritual connection, mark transitions, and create internal shifts. Spells, by contrast, are precise energetic recipes intended to create tangible, noticeable changes that you can track and measure.

Understanding the difference between rituals and spells matters. Rituals can be flexible and personalized or adjusted according to what feels right for you. Spells, however, should be followed closely, like a recipe, to fully manifest the intended outcome. Rituals often bring subtler inner shifts, while spells produce measurable results that show whether the desired change has occurred. In other words, all spells are rituals, but not every ritual is a spell.

I often describe spells as being similar to prayers, though there’s a key difference. When we pray to a deity or spiritual being, we typically ask something outside of ourselves to intervene or help us in some way. There’s immense power in working with spirits or external energies, and we’ll explore that further in the spirits section of this book (chapter 10). But when we rely fully on external entities to create change, we sometimes overlook the power of our own will.

Spellcasting combines external support with your own clear intention, bridging your personal power with outside energies. Your will and your mind are extraordinary tools for creation and should be foundational on this path we are walking together. You already create your reality every day through your thoughts, beliefs, and intentions. Spellwork simply helps you do so intentionally, aligning your creations with your ideas and desires.

Remember, as you shift internally, your external circumstances shift in response. By adding intentional spells to your practice, you tap into all the expansive energy available in the east, amplifying your ability to manifest clearly and swiftly.

You may decide to focus intensely on one specific area for a period of time or dive deep into every aspect presented here in the suggested order. This path is uniquely yours, and you should move at the pace that resonates the most with you.

Divination

Divination is a sacred practice of seeking guidance and uncovering hidden wisdom through spiritual means. It involves interpreting symbols, patterns, or inner messages to reveal insights about yourself or specific situations. Whether through tarot, oracle cards, scrying, astrology, or runes, divination is a pathway to deeper spiritual exploration. It helps us bypass the thinking mind and open directly to inner knowing, guiding our journey with clarity and intention.

In this book we’ll explore divination primarily through oracle or tarot cards. Each chapter includes a card spread designed to anchor and illuminate the aspect of air energy we are exploring. If you don’t yet have a deck, you might start by visiting a local bookstore or metaphysical shop and choosing one that you are drawn to.

Oracle decks usually include clear instructions, making them easy for beginners. If you’re curious about tarot, consider acquiring a dedicated book or taking a class to deepen your understanding. You can use tarot cards with the spreads provided in this book, but allow extra time afterward to explore each card’s layered meanings.

How to Do the Divination Readings in This Book

Throughout this book of the east, we will regularly incorporate sound and music into our divination practices. Consider playing gentle music during readings, using chimes, bells, or curated playlists (I’ve shared some recommendations for each reading) to deepen your experience and connect you directly to the rhythm of air energy.

Each card reading follows a sacred flow. Here’s how to approach it:

Step One: Choose or Cleanse Your Deck

Begin by connecting with your cards, either bonding with a new deck or clearing your existing deck of prior energies. This helps align the cards with your current energy and the time you are spending in the east. You may choose to use the same deck for all the readings in this book or select a different deck for each chapter.

Step Two: Create the Container

Set aside some quiet, uninterrupted time. For each reading you do, light a candle, invite an element representing air (such as incense, a feather, or wind chimes), and center yourself through breath and intention.

Step Three: Ask Questions and Pull Cards

As you shuffle, ask your questions (provided in each reading) aloud or silently. Draw one card per question, laying them out clearly. Allow yourself to absorb the imagery and symbols before turning to the interpretations in the guidebook.

Step Four: Intuitive Interpretation

Take note of any symbols, colors, sensations, or emotions that arise. Trust your initial impressions and the messages your psychic insight offers.

Step Five: Journal Your Insights

Capture what comes through in writing. Allow your reflections to flow without editing. Make sure to extinguish the candle when finished.

Candles

We use candles for rituals and spells in all four books in the Sacred Magic series. Even though candles will be the primary tool in the third book, we need to cover the basics of candle magic now, as we work with fire in all four directions.

Candles are often used to hold intention, ignite energy, or mark a transitional time. You don’t need anything fancy to begin. A small chime candle, a tealight, or even a birthday candle will do. What matters is your focus, not the size or price of the tool.

Candle Color Meanings

Color carries symbolic meaning in magical work, and choosing your candle color intentionally can deepen the spell or ritual. Here are a few simple guidelines:

• White for purification, truth, and clarity.

• Black for protection, shadow work, and banishment.

• Red for courage, lust, and bloodline work.

• Green for abundance, fertility, and earth connection.

• Blue for peace, communication, and emotional healing.

• Purple for spiritual power, intuition, and psychic connection.

• Yellow for confidence, intellect, and creativity.

• Pink for self-devotion, softness, and relationships.

Don’t get stuck on matching the color perfectly. If all you have is a white candle, that’s more than enough. Your intention is the true flame.

Incense

In the east, smoke and air are sacred allies we work with often. Burning incense is an ancient practice for calling in clarity, cleansing your environment, opening intuition, and creating sacred space. The smoke carries your intentions upward and outward, bridging the physical and spiritual worlds. Smoke is also a direct connection to your psychic gift of “clear smelling” (clairalience), which is a portal to activation. Throughout this book, I’ll suggest incense blends matched to each ritual or spell.

How to Work with Sacred Smoke

Loose incense, which is a combination of dried herbs, resins, flowers, or roots, is easiest to burn using charcoal discs. These are easy to find at metaphysical shops or online. After lighting the charcoal, allow several minutes for it to heat fully. You’ll know it’s ready when the disc becomes gray, with a soft layer of ash. Gently sprinkle your incense blend onto the heated disc. If it burns too fast at first, wait until there’s a small layer of ash built up, then sprinkle a bit of that ash onto the charcoal before placing more incense. This helps slow the burn, allowing the plants to release their scent and energy gradually.

Use a heat-safe container, such as a cauldron or an incense burner made for this purpose. Place it on a heat-resistant surface. Allow ash to accumulate until the container is full. When ready to reset your cauldron, take the

cooled ash outdoors and offer it back to the earth or scatter it gently into the breeze, saying, “Please receive this sacred offering.”

With continued use, burning incense will shift more than just the energy of your space; it will shift something deep within you. Let the smoke rise and allow it to lead you to clarity, insight, and new ideas.

Sourcing Supplies

One of the questions I hear most often is where to find supplies. My answer is always to start local. Visit a metaphysical or occult shop near you. They’ll help you source essentials for working with air energy, such as incense, feathers, wind chimes, candles, and journals. Aim to acquire ethically sourced supplies whenever possible.

Here are some places to find supplies for the east:

• Local metaphysical or occult shops carry incense, feathers, crystals, and candles.

• Etsy has many handmade incense blends, unique journals, and custom magical tools.

• Local farmers’ markets and plant shops are good sources of fresh or dried herbs, flowers, and loose teas.

• At crystal shops you can hold and choose crystals in person based on how your body responds. Look for tingles, warmth, or electric hits in your body.

There’s no wrong choice. Let your intuition and body guide you.

Now let’s begin with the divination questions in our first tarot/oracle spread to honor where you are in this exact moment.

First Card Reading: Who Am I Right Now?

This foundational reading will open a clear channel between you and your cards, inviting an awakening of your inner wisdom right now.

STEP ONE: CHOOSE OR CLEANSE YOUR DECK

If your deck is new, unwrap it slowly and start by looking at each card and take in how the symbols and colors feel.

If you’re using an existing deck, clear it of any past energies. Here are some cleansing methods to try:

• Waft incense smoke gently over the cards.

• Blow softly over the deck, letting your breath cleanse the cards.

• Hold the deck near your heart and say silently or aloud, “I clear this deck with breath and intention. May it bring clarity and truth.”

STEP TWO: CREATE THE CONTAINER

Set aside fifteen to twenty minutes with no distractions. Light some incense or a candle or place an item representing air nearby (such as a feather, chime, or bell). Take three deep breaths, whispering, “I open to clarity. I welcome insight. Show me who I am right now.”

STEP THREE: ASK QUESTIONS AND PULL CARDS

Shuffle your cards mindfully, then ask:

1. Who am I, right now, in this moment?

2. What truth is the element of air bringing to the surface for me?

3. How can I best support myself mentally and energetically in this season?

Draw one card for each question and lay them face up. Sit quietly with the images before referencing a guidebook.

STEP

FOUR: INTUITIVE INTERPRETATION

Notice any colors, symbols, animals, or feelings each card evokes.

• What catches your attention immediately?

• How does your body respond?

• What feels surprising or clear right away?

Afterward you can read the guidebook for additional meanings, but trust your first impressions as part of your own inner knowing.

STEP FIVE: JOURNAL PROMPT INTEGRATION

Record the date at the top of your journal page and then reflect:

• What did each card reveal about me today?

• What deeper truth surfaced that I needed to hear?

• What feels challenging or affirming about this reading?

• How can I actively honor this guidance today?

• Bonus: Finish your entry with your current truth: “I am …” (Complete this sentence honestly, such as “I am clearing my path for deeper insight about myself” or “I am opening to learning the magic of the east.”)

Make sure to extinguish the candle when finished.

FINAL NOTES

If the meaning of the reading feels unclear, trust that messages may unfold gradually. Return to this spread later to witness how your insights have evolved. Each reading is a mirror reflecting your magic back to you.
