Liverpool has been a great place to start a company. Through opportunities such as Baltic Ventures, I was able to connect with experienced founders and investors, including Graeme Ankers, former Co-Founder and Managing Director of Firesprite, now part of Sony. Having access to that kind of support and mentorship has been invaluable. What started as an idea while I was still completing my degree has grown into SkinScanner.gg, a platform now used by hundreds of thousands of people from around the world. It’s exciting to be building a technology business in Liverpool and to see first-hand how the city’s tech and gaming ecosystem is giving young entrepreneurs and graduates the support to grow ambitious, high-growth, venturebacked companies.
