Visit the Albert Dock. Go to one of the many parks just outside the city centre. Whether it be Calderstones Park with its beautiful walled garden or Sefton Park with its incredible palm house, there are so many amazing green spaces to clear your mind.

Get the ferry across the Mersey. It is a quick, whistle-stop tour across the North Wirral coastline as well as a brief history of Liverpool with the iconic theme song from Gerry and the Pacemakers, come rain or shine, and it’s a great afternoon out.

There’s something to suit every taste, whether your playlists are full of hip-hop, electronic, jazz or rock’n’roll.

Parks and waterfront walks in Liverpool are firm favourites. Sefton Park, Festival Gardens, Otterspool Promenade, Princes Park, Calderstones Park and Greenbank offer perfect outdoor space all within easy reach of the city centre. Head further north to explore the beaches at Crosby, Formby and Southport.
