WE ARE MAKING IMPROVEMENTS TO OUR CAMPUSES WE ARE INVESTING £12.5M ACROSS OUR CAMPUS As part of our recent improvements to Mount Pleasant Campus, we enhanced facilities for our students while embedding sustainable technologies to support our ambitious net zero goals. We are now continuing investment in the City Campus through the major redevelopment of the former Henry Cotton Building, now renamed the Kitty Wilkinson Building, in honour of one of Liverpool’s most influential 18th century Irish immigrants, who’s values of inclusion and community closely reflect those of LJMU. This investment will create modern teaching and student spaces while celebrating Kitty’s lasting contribution to public health and Liverpool’s Irish heritage. Together, these projects continue to create modern teaching spaces, flexible learning environments, and great places for our students to study and socialise.

TRAVEL INFORMATION Liverpool is easy to travel to by road, rail and air. You can even catch a ferry across the Mersey! Visit Liverpool has some really useful information. PARKING
RAIL
As we are located in the heart of Liverpool city centre, there is no on-site parking at the university. There are, however, plenty of car parking options in the immediate area within easy walking distance.
If you are travelling by train, our campuses are a short walk from Liverpool Lime Street station. Our campuses are also near several local Merseyrail* stations, including Liverpool Central and Moorfields.
Parkopedia provides information on many public car parks around the city.
BUS
There are several Liverpool City Council car parks in the city centre, the largest of which is the multi-storey Mount Pleasant Car Park. There are also a number of Q-Park and NCP car park sites across the city.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
FIRE ALARM If the fire alarm sounds during the event, please exit the building via the nearest fire exit as quickly and safely as possible. Staff and student ambassadors will ensure you are guided to the nearest fire assembly point.
FAITH ROOM FACILITIES Open to all visitors during the event, we have a faith room on the first floor of the Student Life Building, Room 1.17 and third floor of James Parsons Building, Room 3.21A. Please speak to a member of staff at the Information Desk who can take you to the space.
PUBLICITY PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING These images will be used by LJMU to share news about the event, and to publicise our future events. Images may be used in press releases, printed publicity and on social media.
If you would prefer NOT to be filmed/ photographed, please speak to a member of staff.
SERVICE ANIMALS ARE WELCOME AT ALL OF OUR EVENTS. Pets are not able to enter our buildings, but are welcome to roam around our campus on leads.
ILLNESS OR ACCIDENT If you feel unwell or require first aid, please notify a member of staff. First aiders will be available all day to help you.
NEED A QUIET SPACE? We have created a quiet space so should you need to, you can take a break from our busy Open Day. Make your way to a member of staff at our Information Desk who can direct you to our quiet room.
