HEAR FROM OUR STUDENTS

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

I studied MSc Drug Discovery, Development and Delivery at LJMU. The programme provided strong grounding in pharmaceutical research and industry, supported by approachable lecturers and practical lab sessions that developed my technical, critical thinking, and writing skills. Student services, including Academic Success, Library, and Careers, were invaluable in improving my reports and job applications. I am now a Research Scientist in a CRO, progressing to Scientist 2 and contributing to formulation development and early-stage drug research. My LJMU experience shaped my career direction and prepared me to thrive in the UK pharmaceutical industry. Houng Nguyen Vietnam MSc Drug Discovery and Delivery

I studied Architecture at Liverpool John Moores University. The course built a strong foundation in technical design and project delivery, helping me understand construction details, engineering principles, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Structured projects encouraged a practical, real-world approach, while field trips to the Lake District and Amsterdam offered valuable insight into context and international building practices. I now work as a Technical Architect and Project Coordinator at JT+Partners, balancing design and project management. Alongside this, I’m pursuing a Master’s in Construction Engineering Management, aiming to gain broad experience before establishing my own architecture and contracting company in the future.
