A NOTE FROM LIZ:

Geez. Everything is ridiculously expensive, isn't it? Groceries, gas, tickets to … everything, it's depressing. And, just when you think it can’t get worse, here comes summer—the most expensive time of year for parents (well, there is Christmas).

Hold onto your wallets, Kidsguiders! With our penny-pinching superpowers, we’ve scoured websites looking for deals that will save you some cash. We’re calling them “Cheap Cheap Alerts” (which must be said in a squeaky bird voice). They’re scattered throughout Kidsguide and squawk about free admission, discount days, and generally cheap, fun things to do.

While searching for these goodies, we stumbled upon our new mantra (cue the rays of light, and the chorus of angels): Little Money, Lots of Fun! It really does exist! And we plan on pointing these secret places and events out to you weekly in our newsletter. You’re signed up, right? If not, head to KidsguideMagazine.com and subscribe. Then each week you'll receive fresh ideas of where to go and what to do that won’t require a small loan.

Insider Tip: The Kidsguide Calendar—our crown jewel. It's filled with hundreds of family events that can be sorted by “Free,” or perused for inexpensive activities. Scan the QR code and see what we mean. Follow us on Instagram, @ kidsguide, where we have lots of free contests to win tickets to events, such as Monster Jam, Disney on Ice, and more.

Wow, now that you’re saving all this money…. we think you should do something nice for yourself. After all, you're amazing! Always going the extra mile for your kids, nailing the hardest job in the world. And, you're a Kidsguider! Big round of applause, pat on the back, and lots of love from us!
