A Vintage Christmas Tradition

Nestled under the bare branches of a buckeye tree surrounded by Western North Carolina Mountains and acres of Frasier Fir Christmas Trees we find ourselves in awe of the majesty of natures beauty! Only Father God could create such magnificents.

Since 1959, in the Blue Ridge mountains, Cartner’s Christmas Tree Farm of North Carolina has grown and “Individually Hand Pruned to Decorate™” thousands of Fraser Firs for wholesale and choose and cut customers. To my knowledge, the tree farm began where the buckeye tree is planted. As far as the eye can see are rows of beautiful assorted heights and well trimmed Fraser Fir Christmas Trees.

It was Sam and Margaret Cartner’s dream and vision that started the farm in 1959. “The farm is now managed by Sam Sr. and his three sons, David, Jim, and Sam Jr” with “Ronnie Beam as the Field

5.Decorate your fresh cut tree with stringed popped popcorn and fresh cranberries. Hang garlands on your tree. Make garlands & bird seed wreaths, houses so the birds can enjoy Christmas too.

6.Make home-made Christmas tree ornaments. Gather your supplies and kiddos, then create special ornaments to hang on the tree. In addition shop at antique stores to find vintage ornaments.

7.Add a train and track around the base of your tree.

8.Make your own wrapping paper using brown paper, twine and sprigs of fresh greenery with berries. Put an orange in stockings.

9.Bake cookies together or make a gingerbread house.

10.Deck your halls and table with fresh greenery, ribbons and bows.
