arlesey town council update

Arlesey Town Council have recently installed a new town flagpole outside the Community Centre complex, which is currently flying the Bedfordshire flag. A flower bed around the pole completes this focal point in Arlesey. The flagpole was purchased by the Town Council utilising match funding provided by the newly introduced Ward Councillor Grant Scheme implemented by Central Bedfordshire Council. Arlesey Resource Centre, operated by the Town Council, have introduced a new Sudoku/ Crossword drop-in session held Tuesdays 1pm to 3pm, why not visit the centre to complete a puzzle and have a cuppa. Ideas for activities/groups that you would like the council to host in the Resource Centre are always welcome please let us know townclerk@arleseytc.co.uk.

With Spring just around the corner, have you considered playing tennis? Or, trying your hand at allotment gardening? Did you know Arlesey MUGA has tennis nets and courts available to hire, all you need is your racquet and tennis balls! Courts available at £7.00 per hour, contact 01462 733722 to book. Arlesey offers 2 allotment sites to residents with plots available to rent for £40 per year (£20 for those in receipt of state pension). A small number of allotments are available to take up immediately so, if you want to try a new hobby, or extend upon produce already cultivated in your own garden, call the council offices on 01462 733722 to purchase a plot.
