These days it seems everyone is busy, between running with kids to a hockey game or day to day choring or the unpredicatable weather that prevent you from attending the sale, it is not a problem. Let us know what you need and we will try and accomodate you.

No one know the bulls and the our cows better than we do. When we deliver the bull, you must be 100% satisfied with your purchase, if not we will take him home, no questions asked.

Come on down... This is your personal invitation to join us March 28th at the Johnstone Auction Mart in Moose Jaw for lunch, purchase a good bull or a group of heifers and enjoy some hospitality after! We would sure like to have you!

This marks the 9th Annual Stockman Select Bull Sale with 50 open replacement heifers in attendance from our customers and ourselves. Heifers that have been sired by Triple A and Anderson bulls. Anyone that purchases a bull from our operations has the opportunity to consign heifers in future sales.

Our bull pen is as strong as ever. The 2 yr olds have been held over exclusively for this market. THEY ARE NOT LEFT OVERS and no one has come in prior to the sale and purchased any either. As always, summered on native grass and brought home in the fall.

Their feet have not been trimmed so the buyer can see exactly what they are buying.

In the past two years, we have done extensive flushing on our top cows, to build a stronger cowherd for ourselves and our customers. To add a new twist, we are offering 1 full brother to the Agribition Reserve Champion Bull and 4 full brothers to the Agribition Champion Female. Plus these bulls are three quarter brothers to each other. Seems confusing but their mothers are paternal half sisters. All that we can say is WOW what a flush and what an opportunity for our customers. One thing I forgot to mention is they are all sired by C Stockman 2059 ET, full brother to Colyers, $600,000 Miles McKee bull.

That’s right $600,000, who knew a bull would sell for this kind of money. It caused quite the stir. Check the boys out, you won’t be disappointed!

Rare Opportunity! This fuzzy rascal is Bam Bam’s full brother. Bam Bam was a member of our 2014 show Adj. YW team that was named Agribition Reserve Champion Bull overall. These flush brother are unbelievable. Tons of natural thickness, hair to burn, sound with tremendous testicles and pigment. Nice birth weight on this guy of 87 lbs. One of the best parts of this calf is his mother 22R. She hits one out of the park every time. These stand by cows are what makes the bull so valuable. These four bull are flush mates from our Ramada 15R cow and Stockman 2059. They are actually 3/4 brothers to Broadway, the Lot 1 calf. 2059 was my pick of the bull calves in Denver when I saw him and I knew he would be the bull to use. These four bulls all have impeccable disposition; never have we had a better natured easy feeding set of calves like these guys. May be the most talked about calves at CWA - people were coming from all over, the word traveled fast.

Extra hair, thickness, pigment and nuts. These bulls will move our breed forward as they have a lot to offer any program from purebred to commercial. This was an exciting flush. We got 9 embryos and got 7 super calves, 4 bulls and 3 heifers. Not to mention Pebbles, their flush mate who was named Champion female at Agribition.

Triple A Max’s Ramada 15R: With a cow like 15R there is no guess work. She’s proven herself many times raising top end progeny all the time. We have shown her at CWA 3 times capturing Champion female once and Reserve Champion Female twice. We also showed her at the World Show 2012 at seven years of age. Not many 7 year old cows can say they have done that. These flush mates are evidence of the power in the cow and the pedigree. No flukes here!

These pair of bulls are twins. The 104N cow raised both of them herself so maybe the weaning weights are not huge, but she did it on her own. These pair are quite the bulls. Another good bull we used. We used 6 of these bulls as yearlings this past summer. We needed some bull Adj. YW 1175 power. The reason from that was numbers and for the mother cows behind them. A little different pedigree on teh cow side of 4A. We were able to acquire the old 329J bull from Norm and Joanne Parrent at Clyde, AB a few years back. He worked well here. Welcome to the Stockman Select Bull Sale. Thank you for your interest in our cattle and for taking time to read through our catalogue and learn more about our programs.

The cattle industry is as exciting as it has ever been in my lifetime, and its great to see our fellow cattleman in all walks of the industry, being rewarded for all the hard work, blood ,sweat and tears that goes into producing, raising, feeding, and processing the greatest protein source available in the world: Beef!!

We are very excited about the set of bulls on offer. This will be the first set of Dagger and Prisoner sons to sell and both groups are outstanding. We will have Motive, Reflection, and Eastwood sons again, and all three bulls have tremendous bulls sired by them, as well as daughters producing great bulls. We have been slowly expanding the our cow numbers and in turn have the largest, deepest set of bulls on offer to date. There will be a good majority of the bulls that will work in both the heifer pasture and the cow pasture.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS Terms: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par at the sale unless satisfactory credit arrangements have been made previous to the sale. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. The auctioneer shall have the right to refuse bids from anyone who has a previous record of default in payment or who has not made proper credit clearance to the sale with the owner or Sales Manager.

Bidding: Each animal is to be sold to the highest bidder. No by-bidding will be permitted. A reasonable price base may be set.

In no event shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price. The seller is not responsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the animal has been sold nor for sickness not apparent at sale time. At no time shall the seller’s liability exceed the purchase price of the bull.

Exception guarantee: In cases where the animal was subjected to hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void.

Purchaser’s Risk: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.

Settlement: Transportation charges on animals returned to the seller are for account of the purchaser. No incidental expenses such as feed, care, A.I., signing fees, interest, veterinary charges, etc., will be charged by either party when making settlement. If the seller is successful in proving the animal in question to be a breeder, the said animal will be reclaimed by the purchaser at his expense. Should the seller fail to prove the animal a breeder, then the buyer is guaranteed a satisfactory replacement F.O.B. ranch or location of origin or a refund of the actual price. Should a dispute arise over the quality of the replacement animal, the Sale Management will appoint a mediator.

Announcements: Errors discovered in the catalogue will be corrected by announcements from the auction stand at sale time and such corrections will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue.

Buyers are cautioned to pay close attention to announcements.

Accidents: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the sales manager, auctioneer, or sellers assume any responsibility in this matter and disclaim any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event of accident or loss of property.

Certificate of registry: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Angus/Hereford Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyers for each animal after settlement has been made.

Mail or telephone bids: Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone or mail their bids and instructions to the sale manager, auctioneer, or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale.

Breeders Guarantee, bulls: Should any bull (14) fourteen months of age or over, fail to prove a breeder after being used on cows known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within (6) six months following date of purchase or (6) six months after the bull has reached (14) fourteen months of age. The seller will then have the right and privilege of (6) six months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze.

Rights and obligations: The above terms and conditions of the sale shall continue a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both.

Disputes: In case of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters is final.

Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction which is not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale.
