Guarantee:

All bulls are guaranteed to be breeders. Should any bull fail to be a breeder we ask that the buyer report to original owner in a timely fashion and before Sept. 1, 2015.

Bull Delivery Information

Any buyer taking their new bull(s) home sale day will receive a $100/ bull discount on the purchase price of the bull(s). For buyers that choose to have the consignor take the bulls back to our farms, you will be charged an additional $100/bull over and above the purchase price due at the time of settlement.

For buyers choosing this option, insurance on the bull(s) is required.

What an exciting time to be in the cattle business. With current prices enthusiasm is at an all-time high. We have the same enthusiasm about the group of bulls we are bringing to Yorkton this year. This is one of the most uniform groups of bulls we have ever put together!!

Once again a powerful set of MH Monument 8148 sons headline this years’ group. They are the same stout, stylish and short marked bulls that 8148 has sired in previous sales. These bulls have been highly sought after in the past couple of years by well-known Ranchers in Saskatchewan and Manitoba including Todd Britton, Richard Krausher, Mark Rogers and Jeurgan Schubert!

We are also offering our first set of sons off of MH MONUMENT 089.

We are very pleased how 089 has bred for us. He has an awesome set of replacement heifers that we can’t wait to see their calves this spring. His sons are sure to be popular with their thickness, bone and performance.

As always, disposition is key in our herd. If any animal looks at us sideways they are culled in a hurry. With the girls getting older and becoming more involved with the cattle we cannot and do not take chances.

As calves these guys are fed a high roughage ration and run on pasture until late October. They are then fed a grain protein and minerals and are fed alfalfa/brome hay up until sale time. They are not pushed and will not “melt” when you put them out on pasture.

What an exciting time to be in the cattle business!! We strongly encourage all producers to evaluate the herd bull battery and make sure the lads are ready to haul the mail for another year! Cull bull prices are exceptional and what better time than this to take advantage and trade up for some fresh new genetics to get the job done. We are happy to welcome Darren Odowichuk of Prairie View Charolais to the Range Ready sale. We are all looking forward to the addition of his Charolais cattle and feel his presence will be a good addition to our group.

We run a 100% 2 year old bull program so none of our bulls are second cut, left over yearlings. They are all APRIL / MAY calves and will be 2 years old by the time you need them to go to work. We cull hard so they are all structurally correct, semen tested and ready to breed. We do not push our cattle. The bulls are slowly developed so that they will last. As always, we follow a total herd health program. The bulls have received all their vaccinations as well as pour-on Ivermectin. These bulls have been fed responsibly with their futures in mind and have received free choice good quality hay as well as hand fed hammered grain including a complete mineral and vitamin package. We spend a lot of time around these cattle so they are quiet. This is a must for us as we have a young family that likes to help out. As always, you can buy with confidence, we stand behind our cattle completely.

Terms: • Delivery of your bull is free within 200 miles after the sale up until April 15, 2015. Buyers will be responsible for picking up their bulls from the farm after that date.

• Insurance is required if we take your bull home with us after the sale.

The bulls can be viewed at the farm up until the sale. We also have additional bulls available for sale via private treaty at the yard. Call or stop by, we would enjoy the opportunity to visit with you and answer any questions you may have.

For as long as I’ve owned the dam of this bull, she has thrown females, all of which have been retained in our herd. I knew a bull calf would be impressive, and this guy doesn’t disappoint. Sired by Red Soo Line CONTENDER, who is the heifer specialist on our place, this rascal would work on cows or heifers. A nice head and smooth shouldered coupled with length, don’t let the 97 lb. birth weight scare you away. He won’t calve hard especially on larger framed heifers. Yet still has enough performance to work in the cow herd also.

Welcome to the 5th Annual Range Ready Bull Sale and thank you for taking the time to look through our catalogue and consider a Range Ready Bull as your next herd sire. Along with my wife, Esther, daughter Katie and son Luke, we run a small herd of red angus cattle just outside of Saltcoats.

The bulls offered this year are a group of calving ease Pasqualle sons, along with the one Grubsteak son. Again, the bulls are of good temperament for handling ease. The bulls are never creep fed, but instead they are weaned mid-September then pail fed “bull show ration” along with free choice hay up until sale time.

A huge thank you goes out to all those that bid on and bought our bulls previously. We look forward to seeing on sale day and getting to have a visit afterwards.

Bulls that are brought back to the farm will be delivered by April 1st. Insurance is highly recommended.

This year we have 7- 2Yr. Old Limousin bull. Both red and black bulls will be coming to town. We have been breeding Limos for some time now and we are very happy with them. Calves that are born easily and are vigorous at birth simplify the workload. They will add growth, performance and a well muscled hip to any cow. Limousin is the carcass breed which sets the standard for all to follow. In the end all animals are paid for the meat they produce not fat or bone and this is what we need to feed and breed for.

This is our 2nd year marketing Charolais bulls. In short they are pound producers. Charolais cross calves top calf sales and with reason. They take feed and make their owners money. The 2 Yr. Old we are selling has impressed us from day one. Conformation and growth second to none. Great breeding with an incredible dam. If you need a 2Yr. Old bull he is definitely worth checking out.

It is a great time to be in the cattle business. On behalf of everyone here at HWY 5 SIMMENTALS, I would like to thank all of our past customers for your patronage for supporting our breeding program both repeat and new buyers. 2015 marks 20years for our family in the purebred Simmental business. We take pride in raising bulls that will go out and do what they are meant to do and last. The bulls are on a self-feed rolled oats ration and tame brome -alfalfa mix, and a full up to date vaccine program.

This year will be the first set of sons from R Plus 2035Z a high selling Black bull we purchased from Marlin down at Estevan that we nicknamed “Junior”. We selected Junior for his over all performance, frame and length. His sons represent that really well, they are deep sided, easy fleshing bulls with lots of length and wide tops.

Once again there will be another great set of red bulls and 1 black bull sired by our red herd bull IPU PITTSBURGH 17Y , he too adds lots of length to his calves and over all width and performance. His first set of daughter we retained will be calving this year and they look great, with lots of length and nice well balanced udders. We look for to see what they are going to raise this fall.

We will also be selling a handful of SPRINGCREEK TANK 113T sons again this year but his main influence will be in his daughters that are raising the bulls in the offering. Over the years these Tank daughters have been proving themselves to be top producers in the herd. There will also be sons of our calving ease MUIRHEADS TNT 36U bull, followed by a few sons of our other two black herd bulls Wheatland bull 912W and BDS ENTICER 78Y. First I would like to welcome everyone to the Range Ready Bull Sale, and thank the group for allowing me to join this great lineup of bulls.

A quick bit about myself, I started Prairie View Charolais with a few cows from the Rolling D dispersal back in 2010, and have continued to build up my herd since. Those first few cows opened my eyes up to see more then a cow + bull = calf. To get a great calf you need the right bull, with good hair and feet, temperament and performance, and most important longevity. That’s why my bulls are only pail fed a rolled oat and bull grower ration. So if I feel I have to watch my back with any of my bulls, they are culled.

The farm is located 15 miles east of Roblin, MB and 7 miles south in the Petlura area, so call or drop by any time to view the bulls. Bulls taken back to the farm must be insured and delivered by April 15, 2015. I look forward to seeing you all on sale day.
