On behalf of Dean and Merlin, we welcome you to the 2026 Place Your Bet Simmental and Angus Bull Sale, marking the 22nd annual sale for Dean and Merlin. Please join us for Year 2 at the farm near Sedgewick on March 8th at 2:00 PM.

Dean has invested heavily in modern, industry-leading genetics across both the Simmental and Angus divisions. These acquisitions were actively campaigned and promoted throughout the fall, gaining strong traction as the operation continues to evolve. By investing in top-tier genetics, Dean and Merlin ensure every bull offered is backed by extensive research and proven performance—giving buyers confidence in this critical investment.

Over the past 20+ years, the Arntzen family has assembled a well-balanced, hard-working cow herd designed to maximize profitability. Bulls are developed responsibly at a steady pace, with structural correctness and longevity as top priorities. These bulls are the result of proven cow families and precisely selected matings to industry-leading herd sires. The guesswork has been taken out of the equation—what you see is the finished product.

In today’s strong cattle market, where pounds equal profit, selecting the right herd sire has never been more important. With cull bull prices still hovering near all-time highs, there’s no better time to replace older herd sires and add a young bull to your bull battery.
