We thought 2024 was about as good as you can get but all the indicators are showing an even stronger 2025. WOW!
As our customer base keeps growing it is exciting to see our genetics meet and exceed our buyers expectations. So much positive feedback on the success of our bulls in our patrons programs. Repeat buyers year after year is very rewarding. We so much value our customers and are humbled that they choose to spend their hard-earned dollars on our Program.
In turn we work tirelessly to search out very sound and reliable genetics. We try hard not to chase the latest fad but search out Proven genetics.

ANNUAL BULL & FEMALE SALE
Friday, February 28, 2025 - 1:30 PM At The Farm - Westlock, AB
Welcome from Transcon Livestock...
Welcome to the Annual Lone Stone Farms Bull Sale! Lonnie, Karen, Nathan, Alisha, and the kids look forward to hosting you on sale day.
As they approach 25 years of selling bulls, this sale has become one of the most popular and trusted events of the season, boasting a high percentage of repeat buyers. That said, we would love to welcome some new faces to join us for great hospitality in what we believe is the most family-friendly sale barn in the industry.
At Lone Stone Farms, they pride themselves on a customer-focused philosophy. There is absolutely NO retained semen or ownership on any of these bulls! As Lonnie likes to say, “he hopes his customers make wheelbarrows full of money with these bulls and enjoys watching their success.” Their commitment to exceptional customer service is unmatched—you can count on it.
This sale features the largest offering of virgin two-year-old bulls we sell annually. These bulls are never run in a dry feedlot over the summer. Instead, they graze on pasture and are wintered in a massive area, a rare practice that contributes to their strength and readiness. Both the Red Angus and Simmental two-year-olds in this year’s offering are outstanding, with options ranging from calving ease to powerful performance—truly something for everyone.
The yearling bulls are equally impressive. These bulls are free-moving and managed with care to avoid over-conditioning. You can also expect to find both calving ease and power among the Red Angus and Simmental yearlings. Almost every bull in the sale is sired by a walking herdsire from Lone Stone Farms, ensuring large, consistent sire groups. One standout group this year is the set of “Bank Note” Red Angus bulls—over 20 powerful individuals split between the two-year-olds and yearlings.
Early-season sales like this often present a buying advantage, with prices tending to rise as the season progresses. This is an excellent opportunity to secure top-quality Red Angus and Fleckvieh Simmental bulls. Working with the Browns is always a pleasure—they’re incredibly easy going and welcoming, and before you know it, you might just feel like part of the family.
If you can’t attend the sale in person, don’t hesitate to reach out to any member of the Transcon Team for assistance. We look forward to seeing you on sale day!

Dam of this bull was also bought from Lauron Red Angus. Been a great cow, but my one complaint is that she can calve unexpectantly. Two years in a row she calved outside the barn door with no notice. One year the calf had pretty short ears.
This bull’s Dam has been an elite cow since 2018. She is going to have her 12th calf for us shortly. Her Dam was a Ter-Ron Touchdown daughter. A bull we hope to resurrect in our herd in the near future. One special note about Rosette 14Z is that she has had every one of her calves in the month of January. A very good half brother sold to the Scotford Colony in our 2022 Bull Sale. 205M is long spined and has a great foot. All the Bank Notes have really excellent Haircoats.
The 23G Cow is a really good cow. The Mabel Cow line steady, regularly producing good offspring. This cow has kept her birthweight consistently moderate regardless of the bull used on her.

Rosette 48D is a big cow. Usually our Agent daughters are more moderate in stature. For an 8 year old cow she has a very youthful udder. We love a cow that consistently catches each year for a January calf.
LONE STONE MOONSHINE 129B
This bull has 3 sisters working in our herd. His Dam is a Redman daughter. Great feet and udders on those females.
Moonshine 223M’s Dam was designate elite in our herd since 2025. Nathan bought this female from the Tuffty’s at the Northern in 2020. She has 3 daughters in our herd. This is her first male calf.
Deep and hairy describes this guy. More impressive in real life than in his picture. 4H is a stellar cow in her age group. Good big testicles really round out the potential of this bull.
I would be careful about using this guy on heifers. He’s pretty bulky, lots of mass and muscle.
This bull is a cow bull out of a second calver. We would consider Karissa 58J to be our top female born in 2021. The Flex bull left us many excellent daughters. Her udder attachment could not be more perfect.

Red Purebred Heifer. Homo Polled (Pending). We decided to offer up our 2 Red Purebred females. Our Copperhead son is not homo black so it was inevitable the red gene would crop up. Hard to admit but this girl came home with the heaviest weaning weight in September of all the Simmentals.
