Joe was at K-State in the early 1970s when some of the first Simmental genetics were introduced to the U.S., and not long after, we were breeding our first Simmental-cross calves. That was over five decades ago, and while the cattle industry has changed, our commitment to building better bulls hasn’t wavered.
We’ve watched trends come and go—chasing showring looks one year, single-trait selection the next. But through it all, we’ve stayed grounded in the traits that matter most to commercial cattlemen: calving ease, growth, maternal strength, and carcass value.
