Heifers Lot 1: JFK Genie in a Bottle Sire: Make a Wish Dam: Who Ya (Who Made Who)
DOB: 1/19
Genie in a Bottle is Powerful with a capital "P" and a pasture standout. With coon-like feet, ballerina gracefulness, and her sound structure, she catches the eye of all the good cattlemen. She’s a square-hipped, soggy-middled, GREAThaired breeding piece backed by one of our front pasture donors "Who Ya" (Who Made Who × New Look), who Todd Caldwell took a liking to for $10k as a baby. Matt Lautner’s rookie bull Make A Wish sure hit a homerun with this one! She has genetics that are top notch that include Ali, Who Made Who, Monopoly, and New Look, to name a few. She has show ring presence and will be the front pasture retirement kind. Rub the Genie in a Bottle and Make A Wish—this is where your dreams start to become a reality!
Lot 2: JFK Maternal Gem Sire: Maternal Made
Dam: Whiskey Girl (Irish Whiskey)
DOB: 1/19
Maternal Gem has legendary genetics: Maternal Made, Irish Whiskey, and Emerald Lady 138M, whose reputations speak for themselves. She is expectional in her top line and muscle expression and is the vision of power from the tail head to her foot. We expect her to grab plenty of purple in her show career and earn even more greenbacks in the pasture. A future breeding sensation, this one has me drooling over the possibilities! Cow power!
2019 Kastel Show Cattle & Friends
5
Lot 3: JFK I’m Your Juliette
Sire: Meyer 734
Dam: JFK Wahoo (Irish Whiskey)
DOB: 1/19
Old school is still proving it works! Meyer 734 females are never a bad decision to add to your cow lineup, and add to that she’s backed by our most proven Irish Whiskey donor, Wahoo. She has a sweet baldie face and is booted to set her apart from the rest. What a combination! She’s sound on her feet; a jet-necked, beautifully lined, feminine heifer. We look forward to great things to come out of her. Lindsay Beukema sure had a great run with her sister, including Overall Supreme Female at Kent County Fair! Great job, Show Princess!
Lot 4: JFK Lady Phantom
Sire: Irish Whiskey
Dam: Keller Donor 31959
DOB: 2/19
What a tough year to pick out your favorite heifer. With a stunning blazed face and a fire-hot pedigree, you can’t go wrong with this Irish Whiskey × Keller Donor 31959 (Full Flush × Meyer 734). Your breeding options on this future donor are endless. Clubby or maternal, I have no doubt she will produce a great one. Full sib to Pryor/Reimann donor Diamond 289 that produces champions regularly. 3/4 sib to promo bull "Point Proven," owned with Jared Manns.
Lot 5: JFK Rayna James
Sire: In God We Trust
Dam: Heat Wave/Ott’s 911 Donor
DOB: 3/19
Talk about needing to get my head examined…why am I given the opportunity to sell these girls?! Here is one that Fred Frey raised and I knew I had to have at just a month old. When one gives you goosebumps right up the back of your neck and arms with that deadly pose this one gives ya, you know you have found the one! This little butterscotch hottie is something to lay your eyes on with such squishy pasterns, plenty of "fluff to puff," and a neck that would make an African "Okapi" jealous (look that one up. The Hill kids, 6 and 8 years old, taught me about that creature!). Pretty simple—this one is extra special and will run super hard in Lima next summer!
Lot 6: Berry Kiss
Sire: Run for the Roses
Dam: Dr. Who
DOB: 3/19
A wild-colored one that could go both ways! You want to run with the boys and make piles of those Franklins when she’s in production? This girl is a good choice to do just that—super eye appealing, big barrel-middled, square-hipped, wide-topped, with that sweet color pattern. She’s the banner-grabbing type I look forward to hearing about, backed by an unbelieveable female that has an expectional udder on her as she’s into her teens! So pucker up, this one’s going being throwing kisses for awhile. Owned with Groveland Farms

2019 Kastel Show Cattle & Friends
Lot 7: JFK Ms. Marmalade
Sire: Business Done Right
Dam: Red
DOB: 1/19
"Red" has produced yet another amazing show stopper. Orange in color, great hind quarter, and smooth gears underneath make her desirable. She will be a steer-making machine someday, I am certain of that. She puts it all in one complete package.
Lot 8: JFK Jessica Rabbit
Sire: JFK Mind Bender
Dam: Powder Puff
DOB: 3/19
Hubba Bubba! Jessica Rabbit makes you do a double take.
Talk about a sexy heifer—she’s an upheaded, stretch-necked, smooth-shouldered, amazing-haired feminine type of girl with extra booty and top that will produce big-time steers one day! She has the cockiness to stand out in the ring with no effort at all. Out of our young donor "Powder Puff" (full sib to Huff-n-Puff) and our very own Mind Bender, she’s a head turner, final drive strutting kind. Grab the purple and send us all those backdrop pics.
Owned with Beukema Show Cattle
Lot 9: Malificent
Sire: I-80
Dam: JFK Dash’s Legacy
DOB: 2/19
Here is one that puts all the right pieces together. Long-necked, deep-bodied, and as structurally sound as they get, this one has the look, not to mention the pedigree that stands behind her. Backed by upcoming Beukema Show Cattle’s "Dash’s Legacy" donor who had an outstanding show career and was a past Kastel & Friends sale feature and high seller, fetching $12,500. This one will make a great show heifer and then turn around to be a great cow. Consigned by Beukema Show Cattle
Lot 10: Peaches ’n Cream
Sire: Higher Power
Dam: Fu Man Chu
DOB: 2/19
Do a double take! Here is one that resembles the Internet senation from few years ago, "Just Peachy," as much as any. Higher Power is making the right kind for sure. This colored-up, amazing-shagged, big-footed, eye-appealing, huge-topped kind of girl will be fun to drag to the shows and collect banners. Keep us in the loop of her show career. Sire: Higher Power
DOB: 1/19
Higher Power hits the mark again. This massive-middled, baby cow looking future moneymaker puts it all together. Taking notes from our Texas friends Len and Ginger Archer, she has a little something in the radiator, and that makes a great cow. She has started her show career being named Supreme Champion Female at Monroe County Fair. She also has major cow power behind her, with her I-80 dam "Miley" and the famous two-time National Champion donor Lana 4111J (Trump/Red Angus). Owned with S&J Show Cattle
Lot 12: JFK Ginger
Sire: General
Dam: Red
DOB: 3/19
We are never diappointed by Red, and her calf by Horn’s General is no exception. She is super complete, feminine through her lines and angularity and has a great hind set. Sire: JFK Mind Bender
Dam: Emily Elizabeth (My Kind × Dash)
DOB: 1/19
This heifer is out of a full sib to Kastel’s JFK Just Peachy donor. She is a baby momma in the making—a double-clean, cool-colored smoke that has all the right stuff to make some great calves. Her Dam Fergi is an Eye Candy × Ms. Olympia 145. Sparky is a little green, but with some work she will stand against the toughest competition. Lot 44: Milk Shake
Sire: Huff-n-Puff
Dam: Monopoly × Charolais
DOB: 2/19
This Monopoly cow does it again. Every year when I breed this cow, I never know what I will get color-wise. To be honest, I had a nice smoked-up, short, chunky, wide-based steer imagined in my mind. Well, this cow threw me for a curve ball yet again. Instead I got a black, big-footed, big-ribbed, great-dispositioned, hairy, feminine female. And WOW, I was not disappointed with the results. This girl belongs in the show ring. On Sunday, October 6, the only question the new owner should have about this heifer is… Do you want fries with that shake? Consigned by Daniels Show Stock
Lot 45: Bessie

Steers Lot 56: JFK Show Me the Franklins
Sire: Getcha Some
Dam: Liberty
DOB: 2/19
Out of Getcha Some and Liberty (Strictly Business × Rachel), this stud is one of the most complete calves in the sale. His grandam Rachel has passed down her famous traits: monster foot, massive hip, and wide top. You can’t really pick him apart; he’s balanced from head to tail with a sleek, cocky profile and plenty of muscle expression through his explosive top. He is cushy on his pasterns and moves around with ease, yet he demands attention. As you are walking the pastures, you might be wondering to yourself how this fella got his name. Well, he didn’t get his name on what he looks like right now, but rather on what he will look like when you get him to the county fair. He is plenty big for an April calf and with his genetics, he will be a force to be reckoned with. Right now he is a meat and potatoes kind of calf, and he is nice to look at because of that. But it will even be nicer to look at this guy through the fall as he starts to hair back up. There’s power in his blood! Consigned by Daniels Show Stock

Due dates listed for bred females are the result of said examination and/or known breeding dates and are intended to be used as estimates of actual calving dates. No guarantee is made for the actual calving date. No guarantee, expressed or implied, is made as to an animal’s ability to produce frozen semen or transferrable embryos, or the fertility of heifers under one year of age. Health: Buyers should make themselves aware of their respective state’s health requirements ahead of sale. Registration and Transfer: Some of the offerings will sell with complete registration certificates issued by their respective breed associations. These certificates will be transferred free of charge to the new owners within a reasonable amount of time following the sale. In some cases, animals will sell as Eligible for Registry; in these cases, the animal in question may be registered by the new owner at the new owner’s expense. Please see each lot for details and for consignor information. Transportation: Transportation arrangements can be made if needed (at new owner’s expense). Announcements: Announcements made from the auction block take precedence over any printed material. Absentee Bidding: If you would like to invest in some of the cattle being offered here but will be unable to attend the sale, please contact the farm, auctioneer, sale manager, or representatives as far ahead of the sale as possible. Your bids will be handled with complete confidentiality and we can arrange to have the cattle delivered to your farm or ranch. Live phone bidding and online bidding are available but not guaranteed. Cattle must be paid for prior to delivery.
