It is our pleasure to welcome you to our 2020 Female Sale – “The Andras Kind!”
Fall is the best time of year to be in the cattle business, and there’s no color that compliments the changing leaves quite as well as red—Red Angus.
We all have the privilege of enjoying the therapeutic joy that only cattle can provide. In a year of ups and downs like 2020, it’s no small blessing to return to something stable and peaceful like caring for these red cattle. It’s safe to say that raising these wonderful creatures keeps us grounded.
We are excited about and proud of the genetics that we offer you in the pages to follow...Red Angus females that are as good as any in the country. From fancy show prospects to cows, bred heifers to pairs and donor quality females, realworld working Red Angus females are available on every page. For the first time in over 70 years, we’ve decided to also offer a handful of our good, registered Polled Hereford females. Regardless of breed, there are good quality females in the following pages that will fit any budget.

Note: If you're using a GPS to get here, enter 121 Suttles Rd, Roodhouse, IL, 62082 From South: Follow Hwy 67 North. 4 miles North of Roodhouse, IL, Hwy 67 will become a four-lane highway, stay on four-lane for 1/2 mile, then turn Left (West) onto Field Road. (watch for signs) Follow Field Rd for 1 mile, then turn right (North) onto Suttles Rd. Go 1/8 of a mile, sale location is first place on the Left.
From East or West: Follow I72 to Jacksonville, IL, take Exit 60A, (you'll then be on Hwy 67 heading South). Then follow directions for "From North"
From North: Follow US-67 South to Manchester, 10 miles South of I-72 interchange. Turn Right onto [Hwy 7] the Alsey-Manchester Blacktop. Continue West toward Alsey for 1.5 miles, to first Crossroad (Suttles Rd). Turn Left (South) onto Suttles Road. Follow Suttles Rd for about a mile to first place on the right (Andras Stock Farm sign). Proceed down farm lane to the 2nd Red and White shed (sale facility).

Presale Cattle Viewing:
Cattle will be available for preview Friday afternoon from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m to sale time.
Mortality Insurance:
Mortality insurance will be available at checkout (provider is American Livestock Insurance). Cost is 6% of the purchase price for one year’s coverage. So for every $1,000 spent, insurance will cost $60. For example, a $4,000 female can be insured for a premium of $240. This is mortality insurance only.
We ask anyone not taking your cattle home sale day to either purchase insurance or contact your insurance agent to make sure your purchases are covered.
Wet Weather Parking:
In case of rain or mud, trucks with trailers are to park on the square in Manchester (just one mile east of sale location, near the water tower). If you prefer not to unhook your trailer, please simply call 217-587-3005 and we will pick you up and bring you to the sale location. Page 1

Our plans are to press forward with an in-person sale, just like normal. We will do our best to arrange our seating and auction area so as to accommodate reasonable distancing recommendations. We are sensitive to the fact that many who would like to attend, can’t. We are here to help.
DVAuction will be on-site broadcasting our sale live, and anyone is free to watch and bid online, from the comfort of their own home. If you would still like to participate but are uncomfortable/unaccustomed to bidding online, we can help. Simply call Steve or Will (or anyone on the sale day phone list) to discuss your needs. We will handle your bid with confidence, buying the animals you want for lowest bid price possible. Either way, we are here to serve you and we truly appreciate your business.

| Sale Terms and Conditions
TERMS: Terms of the sale are cash, check, or other terms agreed to in writing between seller, buyer, and sale manager payable immediately upon conclusion of the sale before animals will be moved. We reserve the right to require a certified check as settlement before releasing any cattle.
PURCHASER’S RISK: All animals are the owner’s risk prior to their sale and become property of the purchaser as soon as declared sold by the auctioneer. BIDDING: Any disputes or challenges regarding bids or tie bids will be settled by the auctioneer and his decision will be final. CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY: A certificate of registry for each animal will be transferred to the buyer at the seller’s expense.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Any errors or changes in information contained in the catalog will be announced from the block and such announcements shall take precedence over the information contained herein. HEALTH: All animals are eligible for interstate shipment. Interstate health papers prepared by an accredited veterinarian will be furnished on each animal sold. Arrangements for international shipment should be made with the sale manager prior to the auction. All efforts for the exportaton of cattle can be arranged through the sale manager and all health testing, transportation, and other export costs are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
BREEDING GUARANTEE: All animals are guaranteed by the seller as outlined in the Red Angus Association of America Code of Ethical Sale Practices. LIABILITIES: All persons who attend the sale do so at their own risk. The sellers assume no liability for any accidents that may occur or for any illnesses that may be contracted. HEALTH CERTIFICATES: Interstate health certificates will be furnished on each animal sold. Cattle sell guaranteed to export with any special export testing of cattle to be done after the auction. Special details in regards to the foreign exportation of cattle may be arranged.
TRUCKING: Trucking can be arranged to coordinate loads for the least possible cost. If you know you’ll need trucking, please contact Will or Steve prior to the sale so arrangements can be made. INSURANCE: American Livestock Insurance through Harding & Harding will be available sale day.
GENETIC DEFECT AND PARENTAGE GUARANTEE: 1. All animals are guaranteed not to produce a calf with the following defects: Dwarfism, Double-muscling, Parrot Mouth, Osteopetrosis (marble bone disease), and Syndactylism (Mule Foot). The parentage of the animals bred by the Seller is guaranteed to the extent that the animal is by the Sire and out of the Dam indicated on its registration paper. These guarantees are effective for a period of two years from the date of sale only under the following conditions. a) The Buyer shall notify the Seller in writing immediately upon the birth of a calf suspected of being defective or immediately after determination is made that such calf is defective, or if parentage is suspected or found to be in error. b) The Seller, at his expense, shall be permitted and provided, with reasonable opportunity, to obtain blood samples of an alleged defective calf and its sire and dam for the purpose of blood type/DNA analysis to establish parenthood. In the case of suspect parentage, the Buyer at his expense, shall be permitted and provided with reasonable opportunity to obtain blood samples of the animal in question and its sire and dam for the purpose of blood type/DNA analysis to establish parenthood. If sire or dam is indicated on the animals registration paper is proven to be in error by such analysis, the Seller shall reimburse Buyer for cost of such analysis. c) The animals will be returned by the Buyer to the Seller at the Buyer’s expense; provided the animal meets the health requirements for the Seller’s state. d) The replacement of an animal with another of equal value or the refund of the purchase price, in connection with a defect producing animal or an animal whose parentage is in error, shall be deemed full satisfaction and settlement. 2) In the event there is a dispute as to whether or not a calf is defective, or parentage is in error, “determination “referred to in Paragraph 1A above shall be made by a person or persons acceptable to both the buyer and Seller. In the event that the Buyer and Seller cannot agree on the selection of such person or persons, then each of them shall appoint a representative to make the determination. In the event that such representatives fail to agree, a third person selected by the representatives of the buyer and Seller shall make the determination.
CONTRACT: The above terms and conditions of sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller of each animal and shall be equally binding upon both. Each sale or resale of an animal constitutes a separate transaction.
