Welcome! What a year it has been! Each year we look back and realize how blessed we have been to have an incredible set of calves, and more importantly, some of the best friends and family we could ask for. For 2020, this is especially true. We weren’t sure we were going to be able to hold our live on-site auction this year but with a little ingenuity, strict guidelines in place, and the unwavering support of our family and friends, we are pleased to welcome you to our 17th annual Kastel Show Cattle and Friends Sale! As you would expect, things are a little different this year... In the interest of your health and safety and the restrictions put in place due to COVID-19 best practices, we will be providing socially distanced seating under the auction tent, and other tents will be available for your comfort and convenience during cattle viewing and the sale. The good news is, we will be hosting our Saturday night Cattle Fest this year, and you will still be able to view the cattle under the Saturday Night Lights! And although we cannot have the live band, there will be food! We will have pre-packaged snacks and refreshments, and food trucks will also be on site both Saturday night and Sunday. Cattle are also available for viewing the week before the auction, and sales day staff and consignors are available via telephone for questions and discussions regarding the sale lots. Please help us have a safe and successful sale! Practice safety during conversations, wear a mask—especially when in the auction tents—and maintain socially distanced seating. Liability: All animals and merchandise will be at the buyer’s risk as soon as bid off. However, the seller will provide for the safety of each animal for a reasonable amount of time following the sale. Neither the sale manager, owners, auctioneer, nor affiliated personnel may be held responsible for any accidents that may occur. Breeding Information: Please note the details regarding breeding information for each lot. All bred females will be examined for pregnancy prior to the sale any changes to their breeding status will be made available sale day. All sellers reserve the right to two (2) successful flushes on all females sold. A successful flush is 6 or more eggs. Flushes will be done at the seller’s expense and the buyer’s convenience. Embryos: All embryos must be picked up within one (1) calendar year from the date of sale. All shipping costs will be at the buyer’s expense. If embryo insertion is done by a certified embryologist, one live pregnancy out of three embryos will be guaranteed.
