E D Angus will pay 1/2 the cost for (5.65% for option 1, or 6.4% for option 2) of the purchase price, the remaining equal 5.65% or 6.4% will be added to the buyers invoice) if the buyer chooses the insurance coverage over the Breeding Season Guarantee.

Announcements: Announcements from the block on sale day take precedence over the catalog.

EPD's & Our Website:

The policy will be in effect for one year from the date of purchase. A representative of Martin Trudeau insurance will be available by phone on sale day to answer questions on coverage.

The American Angus Association now updates EPD's weekly. The information printed in this catalog is as of February 19, 2020. We will also post yearling data and scrotal measurements for each bull and registered heifers once weights and measurements have been completed prior to sale March 15, 2020 on the website, www.edangus.com. All birth weights printed in this catalog are actual scale weights.

Registration papers: Registration papers will be transferred to the bull buyer at no cost to the buyer. The papers on the registerable heifers will be transferred for an additional $75 over their purchase price.

Calving Ease: In the information for each lot, we have marked those bulls which we think will work on heifers.

Terms & Conditions: All bulls sell under the terms & conditions of the American Angus Association.

Herd Health: All cattle have received the following: Alpha 7 at birth. On April 6, 2019 Received: Enforce 3,Once PMH Internasal, Multimin Injection, Dectomax Injectable. On August 21, 2019 Received: Bovishield Gold One Shot, Vision 7 Multimin Injectable, Dectomax Injectable, Stanguard Pour On. January 2020, received Multimin & Dectomax injectable shots. The bulls will also be given a Vibrio Lepto vaccine at their Breeding Soundness Exam

Retaining Interests: E D Angus is retaining 1/3 interest in all bulls sold, unless otherwise stated in catalog or on the block. This does not restrict the buyers use since bulls sell with full possession. Very few bulls will actually be collected and when it does occur, we will work with the buyer at their convenience.

Wintering & Delivery: We'll provide free delivery up to 150 mile radius. Delivery will begin as close to April 1st as possible and we'll board the bulls/heifers at no cost until delivery or April 5th, 2020. If you desire us to board bulls after April 5th, we can make arrangements to board the bull(s) or heifer(s) at a $5/day/head rate.

Liability: All persons who attend this sale do so at their own risk, legal or otherwise, for their safety or the safety or behavior of the animals. The owners and their staff assume no liability for property loss or any accident that may occur.

BREEDING SEASON GUARANTEE

All bulls selling for $4,000 or more will be covered 50% by E.D. Angus, if they are injured during their first breeding season. Breeding season is defined as the 90-day period following the first turnout of the bulls.

Fifty % of the value of the injured bull, minus any salvage value, will be given as credit in a future sale or toward a replacement bull if one is available. All injured bulls must be diagnosed by a veterinarian. Please notify us as soon as possible should injury occur and prior to animal being sold for salvage. A copy of the sales receipt must be received by E D Angus to receive proper credit. All claims must be made by September 1, 2020. Example 1: A $8,000 bull is injured and will not heal. A credit of $4,000 minus any salvage value will be given the buyer. Example 2: A $4,000 bull is injured and will not heal. A credit of $2,000 minus any salvage value will be given the buyer. Example 3: A $3,900 bull is injured and will not heal. No credit is given. Buyer retains all salvage value.

This is not a mortality policy. Nor does it cover mismanagement. Should you desire additional coverage, mortality coverage can be arranged through Payne West. We urge you to buy mortality insurance on all bulls sold here at E D Angus.

Thank You We wanted to take this opportunity to say A BIG THANK YOU to all of our family, friends, neighbors, co-workers: well everyone really, who have helped us these past eight months working cattle, putting up hay and generally just being there when we need you. Thanks for all of the suppport, prayers and encouragement. It means so much to us and makes our journey easier. •

We selected Payweight as one of the top selling bulls in the 2017 A & B Cattle sale. He sires easy flashing moderate framed cattle. His WW EPD & $M rank in the top 10% after his first calf crop. We are retaining all of his daughters, that's how excited we are about these Payweight progeny. His first daughters are entering production for us this spring and they are easy calvers, have great udders and are very good mothers.

We chose to use Seedstock after seeing some powerful bulls in a breeders sale in 2018. Those bulls were powerfully built like their sire. His progeny have not disappointed us in that the two sons offered in this sale are loaded with performance, and we’re especially excited about the Seedstock daughters we have selected to retain. We’re only offering one Seedstock female in this sale, out our longtime Pathfinder cow E D Ruby 116. Don’t forget to look up the special heifer Lot 116 we are recommending as a sale highlight.

A Tribute to Pat Hebbert

Just over 30 years ago, Clint and his older brother Pat, made the decision to raise cattle in a joint venture on some leased land near Ashby, NE. That decision, resulted in 30+ years of cooperation between the two of them, and later Suzy and then Ed and Joe joined in the action too. Clint and Suzy added the registered Angus cattle operation in 1993, and here we are now offering bulls and heifers in our 20th Annual Production sale. But as in all things, life throws changes at us, sometimes changes that we’re not prepared for. We lost Pat last September 24, 2019, and we just wanted to acknowledge how much he meant to all of us here, and how we probably wouldn’t be in the Angus or even cattle business if it was not for him. Thanks Pat, for all you did to enable us to build E.D. Angus into the operation it is today…We sure miss ya Pat, we will see ya on the other side.

Resource is in a league of his own for siring body dimension, fleshing ease, muscle thickness and breed character. He consistently sires high quality functional offspring. His daughters are prized assets in breeding programs that desire productive females that are easy to be around. Whitlock has made a name for himself as a must-use calving ease, outcross sire. His ability to combine an impressive set of EPDs, a maternal pedigree and end product value, is unmatched. Whitlock sires deep-sided, easy fleshing, functional, docile daughters along with highly sought-after stout-made, growthy, calving ease sons.

Black Iron progeny performance continue to dominate the weaning weight scale for us, topping bulls, heifers and steers. Mothering instincts, udder structure, and milk production. Black Iron ranks in the top 1% of the breed for WW EPD, YW EPD and $F value. An injury prevented us from keeping this bull to use in natural service, but we continue to use Black Iron semen on our cows, his progeny are always the heavy weight calves at weaning.

Yearling Angus Heifers

We have selected 10 head of heifers that are early born and should settle early in anyone's breeding program. They're going to be hard to part with but we just do not have room for all of them. The heifers out of registered dams, are eligible for registration, you can have them registered by adding $75 to their sale price. The heifers have not been pampered, receiving 2 #’s of cake/hd/day, and running out…the heifers will be presented in their “working clothes”.
