Welcome to the Pine View Angus Female Production Sale, October 6th at 6:00 pm. All of us here are proud of the genetic offering we have put together. While the sale format has slightly changed, rest assured the goals and direction of our breeding program will continue to be the same. These goals and principles have driven profitability for our customers and that has and always will be the focus of our program. This offering is “right off the top” of our breeding program with great genetic diversity. Many females that are ready to calve in an early window that will add value quickly for their new owners. The bred heifers in this offering have the muscle, EPDs and phenotype to be considered by even the most discriminating breeders. The pregnancies are as progressive and proven as we can offer and the embryo packages will put you in the driver’s seat on rapid genetic gain. The industry is moving at a rapid pace which has created an environment of enthusiasm in many areas. We too are excited for what the future has to offer and look forward to positioning ourselves and our customers in a competitive position in the marketplace. In an effort to continue to offer high quality genetics in volume, we have reinforced our efforts in our ET program and have made calculated genetic acquisitions to our donor pen that only further complement the genetic foundation of our breeding program. Welcome to the 2020 Pine View Online Production Sale. The offering this year is smaller this year but the quality as always is some of the best in the country. As we look over 2020 is has been an incredible year. Branding and supply have become key focuses of the marketplace. It is no different in the Angus seedstock business. As one judges programs it has become obvious the ability to build your brand and produce enough genetics to make them available is what the marketplace seeks. That has been happening in Colesburg, IA for over 20 years.
The offering is diverse and top end. John and Tom are serious about not only performing over and under the hide but also having it EPD documented by the largest data base in the business. As you go through the offering you will see a competitive approach from the first lot to the last lot. There is no fear in sire selection or of doing the hard work to research those genetics. You will notice some exciting new sires as service sires in the catalog. A great opportunity lies in lots 20 and 21. DONOR ALERT. Sells carrying heifer calf pregnancy by SS Samson out of another top donor in our program SS Pride 7106. Due 9/15/2020. F427 showed up in heat out of cycle after the proper timing to get her AI bred so we opted to put an embryo in her one week later to keep her bred up on time and it settled. The new owner will get a tremendous future donor candidate in addition to an ET pregnancy from another featured donor in our program. F427 is a Beast on the hoof with tremendous rib shape and volume. Sells AI bred to Pine View Alpha due 11/20/2020 with a heifer calf. Pine View Alpha was the past high seller from our 2019 Bull sale selling to Grimmius Cattle Co in California. In a short 9-month period he had amassed semen sales of over 13,000 straws. Several seedstock operations that have sampled him have called with great reports. Outcross pedigree with loads of mating potential in this female. Her combination of mating flexibility as well as her index values combined with her top rankings for disposition, feet, carcass traits and performance make this bred heifer a unique breeding piece. Sire was our selection of the 2017 Vintage Bull sale in California. We were searching for an Index son that would check all the boxes and leave behind a tremendous set of daughters and he has exceeded our expectations.
