Registering and Bidding

The sale site will have a totally different look this year. Edje auctions will still administer the sale but they have updated their sale platform and now use W2 auction solutions. This platform is used by many internet sales and has been called the gold standard in online sales. It is very user friendly and very mobile. Desktop, phone, and tablet responsive.

Reach the sale site through the link found on our web site. www.ipsencattle.com.

View video of each lot on auction site.

We have included a YOUTUBE tutorial on our home page of our website and recommend watching it prior registering. Registering will require you to enter your email address and a password. Password must contain 1 capital, 1 Numeral and be 8 characters long. You will be asked for a cell phone number in the registering process. A pin number will be texted to you that you will be required to be entered. This is to verify who you say you are and not a robot. Enter the pin to move forward in the registering process. You will be asked if you want notifications sent to you as an email or a text message. This feature will be used to notify you during the auction when you have been outbid on your lot. Once registered you are ready to bid. You will notice some differences from the former platform that has been used in the past. Proxy bids will now be referred to Max bids. Email address will be used instead of bidder numbers. When bidding on a lot you will only see a time stamp and the bid amount. W2 auction solutions comes with text and email outbid notifications. A link will be sent where you can bid directly from that link. Bidding will continue until 7pm (MT). At which time it will enter into extended bidding. The extended

bidding period (high water mark) will be 5 minutes. Each time a bid is placed on any lot in the sale the highwater mark or extended time will be increase by 5 minutes. After one hour in extended bidding the highwater mark will be decreased to 3 minutes. When time gets under 1 minute the timer will start to flash red. When no bids are entered on any lots within the highwater mark the sale will be closed. W2 auctions solutions includes a watch list that you can build on multiple lots you are interested in. To use this feature, click on the “eye” icon in the lower corner of each lot. This will give you the ability to group the animals that you are interested in watching during the sale. We suggest using this when bidding on multiple lots during the extended bidding period. W2 auction solutions will send an invoice to your email at the end of the sale. Your invoice from W2 auction solutions will not include any repeat buyer discounts, credits or additional insurance cost. We will contact you the following day to talk about delivery, insurance if wanted and registration transfers. Settlement will be with Ipsen Cattle Company. Do not send settlement to W2 auction solutions.

Welcome/Sale Terms

Sale Terms:

both Angus and F1 Black Hereford. Many are calving ease with plenty of growth for the very most discriminate breeders. As many of you may know we lost a great cattle partner and long-time friend in 2018. I could never ask for a better partner than what Bob Sparks was. He was looking forward to his retirement years so he could spend more time with family and his cowherd that he had been working on for so many years. Becky and I would like to dedicate our 2019 sale to Bob Sparks and say it was truly an honor to call him a friend and bull partner. The replacement heifers again are top end. If you are looking for outstanding F1 Black Hereford replacement females we have them. They will carry the service of leading AI sires to provide excellent calving ease. Those that have been with us in the past, we say thank you and welcome back. Those of you, who are new, welcome aboard. We know this is not the traditional way of buying bulls but it is fast becoming the norm and those of you who are busy in the spring have commented on how much they like bidding on bulls from the calving sheds. We have tried to make it as easy as we can and very self-explanatory. We will do all we can to assist and help you in any way, feel free to call anytime. The bulls and heifers are available to view anytime and we encourage that. Do so at your convenience, just give me a call and we can see all that you would like. The sale site is the same as we have always used but it has had a major upgrade. Register early and become familiar with the sale site to avoid problems on sale day. Follow the links from our web site www.ipsencattle.com to the sale site or for helpful tutorials. For those that can, join us for a Tri Tip lunch on sale day. We will have computers available to assist you and answer any question you may have. We appreciate you, our customers, and take your success very seriously.

702 is a very broody heifer with very straight lines, powerful hip and very correct in her structure. She has an outstanding Hometown 10Y 2 year old dam with genetic indications of superiority. Sired by our Walking herd bull Bruin that has sired many standout bulls and a tremendous set of females. Bruin had the look, the docility, the EPD’s and actual production. Margy 702 has been breed to be a Momma but she is stout enough to be a champion for anyone wanting to show her. The quality and power you are purchasing in this female is not available very often. Help yourself to this one. AI’d to JO CHBH JCR HIGH ROLLER 7D ET (reg # HB10941) 11-12-2018 for a late August calf. Calving ease Black Hereford bull who has been tested Homo Polled/Homo Black. 709 is a shaker and mover. She has it all put together in a very attractive package. She is as fancy as we can be make one in her front 1/3, exhibiting a tremendous spring of rib, with a deep girth and ending in a wide broody pin set and outstanding levelness in her hip. This extremely docile heifer will be very tough in the show ring and will graduate to the donor pen quickly. Her highly productive grandam has raised several replacement females for us along with many top bulls. Bruin, 709’s sire, has left his mark in our herd and many others in the area. Not many Angus bulls have the muscle that Bruin has, add in his performance and maternal traits along with being extremely docile and you can see that 709 is a no brainer to be front pasture female that anyone will be proud to own. Breed to ICC Billy Ray 639 (18625788) 12/7/2018 for a mid September calf. Calving ease Angus bull. Confirmed pregnant with a heifer calf.
