Kyle and his family consistently offer as many or more Red Polls for auction annually than any other breeders I am aware of, and for this reason Kyle was selected as the sale chairman. Wait until you see this one. We wanted to sell a good one and this one will turn heads. We fully expect her to dominate the show ring and then go home and make a phenomenal cow. She has a wide top, long body, and plenty of muscle without losing femininity. She reminds us a lot of the heifer we sold at the National Sale in 2015 who was the 2016 Reserve National Champion at NAILE. Everyone who has seen this heifer thinks a lot of her so she will be entered in the North American.

The 755 heifer is one we probably should keep but want to offer some of our best. Her dam is the 512 Hilltop cow that was one of our best producers for years. She milked like crazy and was super fertile so we used her as a recipient in our embryo transfer program before we realized how valuable she was to our Red Poll program. We certainly didn’t get hurt and understand now why so many have been so successful at line breeding. Her momma is one of our favorite cows in the herd, even though she is so spoiled you can’t drive her anywhere. Here is one we wouldn’t be letting off the farm if we weren’t tightening things up a bit. Shuter’s Anna was the 2014 National Champion Female. She is a beautifully balanced, long bodied, feminine made cow that is a result of our plan to combine Shuter’s Tuff Enuff genetics with the Daisy cow family from Wiese Farms. We lost her June heifer calf when she got sick up at the rental pasture, and it made me sick as she was gonna be good. She’s been exposed to Dakota to calve next spring and I guarantee it will be something special. The Daisy cow family and grandpa’s old Red Rose cow line are what our program are built around and they both combine here in the calf she is carrying. Here is an interesting opportunity we are bringing to Oklahoma. Here is one of the last remaining survivors that was bred in the late Marshall Mohler herd. We bought her and her momma when the Mohler Family dispersed the herd a few years ago. Her momma, the old 202 cow, was one of my favorite cows I ever owned and she has been really good to us, bringing us Shuter’s Marshall, Shuter’s Destiny, and Shuter’s Dory, some of our favorite and best animals over the last few years. She’s got a young May born herdsire prospect at her side by Shuter’s Carter and is bred back to Dakota for your convenience. As an FYI, she is a little protective of her calf when she first calves, but within a couple of weeks will settle down and be fine. Ask Mike Parks about the his Carter son and how good he thinks Dakota will work on this cow. I know he is a believer in these genetics.

This cow is one of our original purchases from Wiese Farms when we expanded our herd back in 2007. She was a heifer calf on the side of one of the cows we selected to bring back and enter into our flush program. She has been one of our more faithful producers over the years and although she is 11 years old, I think she still has some years left to be a good producer in your herd. This bull’s sire is the bull we have used on the majority of our heifers with very few needing assistance. Also his ancestors go back to breeders that have left a positive imprint on the Red Poll breed. The heifers we have in the sale have different sides than Marcus.

This has been our herd bull for the last 5 years. He throws low birthweight, moderategrowth calves that work great in our grass-only program.

He maintains his weight and condition on only grass as well. He’s halter broken and easy to work with. We are sorry to see him go, but his calves now make up the vast majority of our herd and it’s time for him to find another ranch to work on.

Sale Terms & Conditions TERMS: Terms of the sale are cash unless other arrangements are made with the individual owner before the sale. The auctioneer will settle any disputes as to bids. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder without reservations, will be the property of the purchaser and at the purchaser’s risk as soon as sold, and can be moved after settlement is made.

REGISTRATION CERTIFICATES: All consignments are registered in the Herd Book of the American Red Poll Association.

Certificates of registration will be furnished with transfers recorded, free of extra costs to the buyers upon sufficient payment of the lot.

HEALTH PAPERS: All cattle will have health papers required by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Some states require permits and some Trichinosis tests. The American Red Poll Association encourages consignors to have fertility tests and Trichinosis tests performed on all bulls over 1 year of age. A Veterinarian will be on hand to reissue health papers. It is advisable to know your own state’s health requirements on bringing cattle in from out of state.

CONSIGNOR’S RESPONSIBILITY: The seller is the responsible party for all representations made about his cattle. The management of the sale assumes no liability, legal or otherwise, but will endeavor to protect the interest of both the buyer and seller.

GUARANTEE: This sale will be conducted under the Red Poll Breeding Guarantee.

LIABILITY: The Murray State University and the American Red Poll Association act as sale agents only for the consignors of this sale and assume no liability as to accidents to or by any animal. The guarantees given above are made by each consignor for his own animals which are selling.

INSURANCE: Insurance is highly recommended to cover from the time of purchase until the time of delivery. Insurance will be available through American Livestock, Inc. Please see clerk for your insuranace needs.

TRANSPORTATION: The owners and Sale Managment will assist the buyers in hauling their purchases but the ultimate reponsibility is the buyer’s.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Announcements made from the auction block take precedence over printed information. Any known breeding dates not listed in the catalog will be given on sale day. Unless otherwise noted in the sale catalog or announced from the auction block, each animal is sold as sound.

MAIL OR PHONE BIDS: Mail or phone bids will be handled in a most confidential manner. If you are unable to attend the sale personally, please contact the American Red Poll Association representative, auctioneer or breeder of your choice.
