Welcome!

WELCOME TO BORER CATTLE

Thank you for your interest in Borer Cattle and the genetics we have to offer. We are proud of this set of bulls & replacement heifers for sale February 22nd. As cliché as it sounds, it is our deepest set of bulls we have produced in our short time in this business. We feel we have a uniform set of bulls that should give you more consistency in your calf crop. We aim to have bulls that bring both power and maternal traits in the offering.

What a wild year it has been in the cattle industry! It’s an exciting time and we hope to see our customers building the

nation’s cowherd and taking advantage of these good times. We breed to make good females, as we are working to grow our herd. We believe the cattle we are producing will be able to add maternal merit and produce quality females that can stay in your herds for years to come.

We are offering 15 replacement commercial females on the sale this year as a special feature. These are February & early March born heifers that have been handled right along with our registered replacements up until sale day.

All bulls are DNA parentage verified as well as genomic tested. We believe the more data the better in the long run. Those numbers are provided in the sale book for each bull selling.

Mark your calendars! We will be hosting an open house on Sunday, February 22nd from 12-5 at our farm. Cattle will be penned and available for viewing that day. Of course, you can view them any time before the sale. Please call to set up a time. We hope to see you there!

DVAuction will be hosting our timed auction again this year. Bidding will open on Saturday February 21st and close on Sunday evening February 22nd at 7 PM. T he online sale closes Sunday evening, the same day as the open house. This is a change from previous years! Be sure to get signed up before the sale begins. It’s an easy process and notifications can be sent to your phone for lots you are interested in bidding on.

We look forward to seeing many of you at the open house on February 22nd!

God Bless! Keith & Audra Borer Harmon, Emery, Max & Riley

MATERNAL BROTHERS LOTS 1-4 are out of the great B/R Ruby of Tiffany 3210. We purchased embryos by Connealy Clarity and Musgrave Exclusive to get as many females as we could from this dam into our herd. Lots 1-4 are the bull calves from these embryos, and what a set they are! We sold 3 sons by Clarity in our 2024 sale, and the heifer calves from that flush raised their first calves for us this season. It’s safe to say the maternal side is special as all raised fantastic calves, including Lot 5. We look forward to doing more with this cow family in our embryo program in coming years.

CALVING EASE HHH 5107 was the highest actual weaning weight we ever recorded, at 822 pounds actual. His sire, Musgrave Exclusive is as proven of a sire as there is in the breed, adding maternal performance, teat & udder quality & fleshing ability into his calves. We expect 5107 to add these same qualities to his offspring, especially considering the cow family behind him.

CALVING EASE HHHH It was tempting to put 5001 into the Lot 1 position. He’s been a favorite since early in his life. A 65 pound birthweight turned into a 114 ratio at weaning. He will turn in an impressive yearling weight as he gained nearly 4.8 pounds per day in the first 100 days after weaning. An ELITE numbers profile with 18 EPDs in the top 25% & 8 in the top 10% he has the numbers to back up his actual performance. Top 2% WW, 4% YW, 5% Claw, 1% $M, 1% $W & 5% $C. We have had good luck with Gable sons & daughters here, and we hear semen is near impossible to get. 5001 is a Gable out of a full-sister to Lot 1. Full sisters in blood in the replacement pen are some of our favorites as well. Heifer safe!

CALVING EASE HHH Another Gable son here from a different cow family. This ET bull had full brothers on last year’s sale that were many customers’ favorites. Gables have sold well throughout the country & his semen is near impossible to get this spring. Top 3%

CALVING EASE HH A structurally sound bull from our ET program. Lot 7 will bring extra fertility and longevity into your herd. The No Doubts have always been well-received. Hard to knock much on this bull from a true breed legend. A nice bull here from the WAR Brilliance B009 cow.

BORER BIG EASY 5112

CALVING EASE H A Bartels Big Easy calf here out of donor Poss Pride 0623. 0623 had several progeny sell over average at the 2025 Poss Angus sale and now resides in Bassett with A&B Cattle. Big Easy has been our main herd sire the last few years. Lot 8 has a powerful look and a balanced EPD profile. A full brother sold last year near the top end in our sale.

CALVING EASE H This is a stretchy bull that will cover some ground. He has a bit more frame and length than some of the others. 10 EPDs in the top 25% have him as balanced as could be. Had a full brother sell last year working in northern Antelope County.

BORER BIG EASY 5030

FLUSH BROTHERS LOTS 16-18 are a set of flush brothers by our Donor TK Madge G148 (mother of Madge 1148 we referenced earlier). The sire DVAR Huckleberry 871 was very popular several years ago and we kept looking for the right opportunity to use him. These brothers are an even set of cow bulls that would do well in a pasture together.

BORER HUCKLEBERRY 5216

CALVING EASE HHH Lot 19 is a standout for sure! A massive individual that just keeps getting better. He may be the best bull in the sale with his 772# adjusted weaning weight and EPD profile to back it up. He has 10 in the top 25% and 4 in the top 10% including WW, Scrotal, Claw & $W. Would be safe on heifers.

CALVING EASE HHH A full brother to Lot 19, 5213 is another heifer safe bull with thickness and power behind him. Cherry Creek Blue Collar was chosen as a sire to add low birthweight bulls into our sale lineup, but the mix with this donor, TK Madge G148 really brought the power into this mating. We really like these two Blue Collar bulls! Top 10% CED, CEM, & Claw. Would be safe on heifers.

BORER REMINGTON 5014

Borer Remington 3109 Poss Remington

lot 20

CALVING EASE HHH Here is an impressive bull out of a Poss Rawhide daughter and a Poss Remington son that brings a lot of pieces from that program together. The sire of this bull was top seller in our 2024 inaugural sale and out of our Poss Pride 0623 donor. A strong EPD profile with 15 in the top 25% & 5 in the top 10%. Top 10% DMI, $C, $M, along with top 15% marbling EPD. This bull would work well on heifers with his mother recording BW ratio 2 @ 95 & a weaning ratio of 2 @ 109, along with a calving interval of 2 @ 347.

REPLACEMENT HEIFERS

Lots 23-25 feature groups of five commercial replacement heifers, all born between February and early March. These heifers have been managed alongside our regular replacements, and each has been bangs vaccinated, pelvic measured, and consistently culled up to sale day. The expected sale day weight is 750 pounds or greater. While we highly value these heifers, we believe their inclusion will enhance the sale and offer buyers an excellent opportunity to strengthen their replacement stock with high-quality Angus heifers. 23 24 25

BORER DOWNPOUR

Erica 037

Erica 8122

CALVING EASE HHH Here is a Downpour son that comes from the same cow family as lot 21. His dam recorded a BW ratio of 2 @ 90 and WW ratio of 2 @ 101. Downpour has been a female maker throughout the breed and we would look for Lot 22 to be a good one for that as well.
