We thank you for your interest and welcome you to the Steppler Ranch Private Treaty Bull Sale. These AGE ADVANTAGED bulls are available for your viewing anytime at the ranch headquarters near Culbertson, Montana. The sale will begin on Monday, December 15 on a rst come, rst serve basis. We are extremely proud of this year’s o ering. The bulls have been rigorously culled over the last year and a half, and have been developed slowly to ensure a reliable product that will hold up in any environment! These are virgin, coming two-year-old bulls that have never been o ered for sale.
We are family owned and operated and have been ranching in Montana for over 100 years. The ranch is in northeastern Montana, where the conditions can be very challenging. This has made us focus on maternal genetics and we have built a cowherd that is disciplined in their mature size and can thrive in a wide range of environments. The Black Angus breed has been a cornerstone of our ranch since the early 1980’s. The registered cowherd has been built over the last 10-12 years, purchasing select groups of females that have several decades of reputable breeding behind them. Cows and heifers are range calved, predominately in May and early June and ran on a combination of native and improved pastures. We have focused on working with Mother Nature, rather than against. The cows are required to do most everything on their own, as we want the cows working for us, and not us working for the cows! We believe that these bulls being o ered will produce ca le that will excel in every aspect of the industry.
As we have done in the past, the bulls will be wintered at the ranch for free and delivered in the spring with a fresh fertility examination.

DSALE FORMAT
It is a rst come, rst serve basis. Private treaty sales will begin at 8am MST on Monday, December 15, 2025 at the ranch south of Culbertson, Montana. Buyers are more than welcome and encouraged to preview the bulls anytime before the sale begins. Contact Verlin or Cody for bull inquiries!

SALE TERMS & DETAILS
• Breeding Season Guarantee: We o er a rst breeding season guarantee against injury that prevents a bull from being a sound breeder. If a problem occurs, we will o er a suitable replacement or a full credit minus $3,000 salvage.
• Sight Unseen Purchases: If you are unable to make it to the ranch and evaluate the bulls, and would like to make a purchase, please give us a call. We would be glad to help you with your selection and o er a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
• Herd Health: Dr. Gary Scheiber, DVM at High Plains Veterinary Clinic provides our year-round services on both registered and commercial cow herds. All bulls sell as virgins and are current on vaccinations.
• Pricing: Individual prices will be assigned to bulls prior to the sale.
• All buyers have the option to pay upon selection, or wait until delivery in the spring.
• Volume Discount: Volume discount of 5% on the purchase of 3-9 bulls. Then, it is 10% on the purchase of 10 or more bulls.
• Wintering: Free wintering and a spring fertility exam prior to delivery, around April 1, 2026.
• Delivery: Free delivery within 200 mile radius of Steppler Ranch.
THE BULLS
The AGE ADVANTAGE bulls in the o ering are the top 90 head out of approximately 250 bulls born to registered cows at Steppler Ranch in 2024. They have been culled thoroughly since birth. Bulls are born on native range in primarily May/June and are raised in a real-world environment at their mother’s side without additional creep and supplements. They are brought in and weaned in November and fed a high roughage diet until mid-March to ensure longevity and physical soundness throughout the duration of their breeding life. In approximately mid-March, the bulls are turned out to a big pasture se ing of varying topography for the summer. When fall grazing conditions are no longer available, the bulls are brought into a large lot se ing to receive adequate exercise and be developed on exclusively mixed grass hay and grain hay until sale time. The bulls are not overfed and will go to work for you, in hopes you will be back again next year.
As a commercial breeder rst and foremost, we expect our bulls to hold up in a variety of pasture environments, terrains, and breeding conditions. We feel it is important for a bull to have an outstanding libido and know how to compete with other bulls in the breeding pasture. We carry these same philosophies to our registered program, much like the majority of our commercial customers.
