Catalog designed by Cow Camp Promotions • www.cowcamppromotions.com Printed by Livestock Direct • Kansas

Welcome cattlemen and cattlewomen,
We would like to welcome everyone to our annual production sale and say thank you to our customers for the past years of support. We also look forward to building relationships with those of you who may be new to our program and helping you with your genetic needs.

What a great time to be in the cattle business! We are experiencing record cattle prices with relatively low feed prices. It is an opportune time for all of us to advance our genetics, and we are doing our best to select for traits that will add to your bottom line. We appreciate you taking time to evaluate the offering.
For added buyer confidence in our program every animal in the catalog has been sire verified and DNA tested to provide genomically enhanced EPDs. We continue to focus on cattle with great dispositions, strong maternal traits and high performance. We have recently put more emphasis on calving ease and carcass traits to provide our customers with the most balanced trait selection. They are fed a total mixed ration designed to provide gains from 3-3.5 pounds per day. Our goal is to provide bulls that can maintain their soundness and longevity. Again, the bulls are being developed on a 15-acre pasture to keep them sound and athletic.
Over the long term, we have always felt that by not creep feeding, we have been able to identify the bloodlines in our herd that produce big calves without supplemental feed. Our cowherd is not pampered, but treated like most ranchers manage their herds, utilizing just grass and water to raise a big calf. Whether our customers are buying bulls or females, these maternal traits will add payweight and profitability to their calf crops. In 2025, our herd was recognized as #4 in the nation for Dams of Dominance Bred. These are females that breed early, maintain their calving interval, produce above average calves and stay in the herd-cows that are profitable.
Once again, this year the sale format will be a video sale, with animals penned outside and being sold on a video screen without them entering the barn. If you would like to come prior to sale day to evaluate the animals and visit about your program, feel free to contact us so we can be available. As always, DV Auction will be broadcasting the sale, phone bidding is available, and we guarantee sight unseen purchases if you visit with us before the sale.
We appreciate the chance to show you the offering, visit about your program and look forward to serving your cattle needs.

Calves are raised on grass and their mother’s milk only. We do not creep feed our calves as we feel that we can better identify our highly maternal lines, and we feel the consistency and performance of the calves produced by our first calf heifers is proving this theory. We continue to feed a TMR ration of ground corn, silage, hay, and distillers grain after weaning.
All bulls and bred females have genomic enhanced EPDs, have been parent verified, and have been tested for homozygous polled and coat color. All females have been ultrasound checked by the Mandan Veterinary Clinic and calves of known sex are identified in the footnotes.
Watch for Dams of Merit and Distinction in the footnotes. These are cows that consistently produce above average calves on a 365-day interval. Just over 5.6% of Gelbvieh cows achieve Dam of Merit status and just over 1% achieve Dam of Distinction status. Currently just over 19% of our assessed cows are Dams of Merit and over 4% are Dams of Distinction.
As always, we guarantee sight unseen purchases for those unable to attend the sale. All bulls are guaranteed breeders for a 90-day breeding season. In the event of an injury or death, notify Gustin’s Diamond D immediately. If the reason for injury or death is related to genetics or management prior to the time the buyer takes possession, Gustins’ Diamond D will provide a replacement of similar value or offer credit to the value of the purchase less salvage value on next year’s sale. All other claims will be handled on a caseby-case basis. We highly recommend the buyer purchasing livestock insurance through Virginia Ernst of Martin-Trudeau Insurance, 701320-0331, or a provider of your choice.
All animals sell according to the recommended terms of the AGA. Gustin’s Diamond D Gelbvieh is retaining a 1/3 semen interest in all bulls selling unless stated otherwise in the catalog. Settlement is to be made the day of the sale, with the buyer having the option of paying 50% on sale day and 50% when the animals are picked up or delivered.
There is a $50 discount if bulls are hauled away on sale day. Discount does not apply to heifers. A 5% volume discount is available on purchases of 5 bulls or more.
Adjusted yearling weights and scrotal measurements will be posted on our website after February 1 as soon as they are available and on a supplement sheet on sale day. Videos of all sale lots will be posted on our website on February 1.

We are offering free feeding of the bulls until April 1. After that time, we will charge $2.50 per head per day. Free delivery within 250 miles will begin on April 1. Free feeding and free delivery do not apply to the females in the sale.
All persons attending the sale do so at their own risk. Sale hosts assume no responsibility for accidents, theft or damages occurring at the sale facility.

“The maternal strengths of Gelbvieh are a great advantage in my cowherd. These females are good mothers, have quiet dispositions, claim their calves at birth and milk well.”
- MATT JARVIS, PHILLIPSBURG,
KS
Gelbvieh maternal influence in a crossbreeding system offers added fertility, increased longevity, and more pounds of calf weaned per cow exposed.
The crossbred female is 30 percent more productive over her lifetime. Greater productivity equates to more money in the bank.
GELBVIEH.ORG
Using Gelbvieh and Balancer ® genetics can increase profitability through heavier weaning weights, improved feed efficiency as well as heavier, faster gaining feeder cattle.

We added the Top Shelf sire for his excellent phenotype and carcass traits. He had very impressive actual scan data, with a large ribeye and very high IMF score. His calves perform well, have added thickness, and have added value from his high percentage Gelbvieh.

We added this sire to our Balancer program as the high seller at the Seedstock Plus sale in Hope, Arkansas in 2021. He had great phenotype and has kept birthweights down, performance up and adds carcass value with his MB EPD in the top 15% of the breed.

We owned a half-brother to the Balancer Homespun bull, but lost him to injury. We added Homespun for his phenotype, calving ease and strong marbling EPD. Vaughn also said his dam was one of his best cows, with a lifetime weaning ratio of 109. His calves have done exactly as we hoped, with moderate birthweights, a great look and good performance. A popular AI sire that takes down birthweight and still has nice growth and eye appeal in his progeny. We continue to use him for his very marketable progeny and also use a son in the DDGR Trailblazer 8K sire that has progeny in this sale.

One of our favorites all summer, the Full Throttle bull keeps on coming in the feeding period. He has great muscle shape and depth of body. His 781# weaning weight gives him a weaning ratio of 110 and he was one of the heaviest calves at the Jan. 1 weighing.

The Full Throttle bull has great phenotype that is backed by generations of top genetics. He was a pasture favorite all summer and has done great post-weaning. His sire, DDGR Challenger 82L, was the high seller at out 2024 sale, going to Prairie Hills Gelbvieh. His first calf crop has done great for us, with a recent top purebred breeder saying the Challenger sire group was his pick of all our sire groups this year. Full Throttle’s grandsire, the DDGR Baller sire has done well for us and as an AI sire for other breeders. On the dam’s side, Full Throttle’s dam ranks in the top 2% of the breed for Marbling and sent her first calf to Ledgerwood Gelbvieh in Washington where Samee Charriere said that they are very pleased with his first calf crop this year. The 195U cow, Full Throttle’s granddam, produced until age 15 with 14 calves having an average weaning ratio of 103. We are confident that the Full Throttle bull will make a positive impact for his new owner.
