Foundation topped our 2016 bull offering selling to Lindskov-Thiel Ranch in SD. We used this easy-going, soft made, correct structured young sire heavily in our program. His first calf crop indicates that he will be positioned to positively impact our program for years to come. His sons continue to impress us. They are thick topped, square made, eyeappealing bulls with modest birth weights, and calm attitudes. Foundation’s females are sweet.

They are big-middled, deep flanked, sound structured, with adequate muscle while still being very feminine fronted. The strength of Foundation’s maternal lineage, and phenotype of his first crop of daughters have him poised to be an impactful sire.

Coalition was raised by U2 Ranch in Alberta, and was our selection and their high selling black bull in their 2016 production sale. He is a maternally geared, low-birth sire with a remarkable disposition. His dam is an elite producer with a nice udder recording a 4/113 WR in the competitive U2 herd, and his grand dam is also a productive member of the U2 herd posting a 6/113 WR. Our Coalition progeny are an exciting outcross to our present genetic pool. His sons are moderate framed, square made bulls. The first female progeny by Coalition are a prized group of heifers. They are moderate framed, deep-middled, with an attractive, feminine appearance. We used Coalition heavily this past breeding season and will have a larger group of his progeny born spring 2018.

This standout recorded an 862/127 205 day weight and a 1491/127 yearling weight, while also ratioing 104 for marbling and 114 for ribeye, as the natural calf of the donor dam, S Eblinette 0157.

Olaf’s progeny flat out grow. They are one of the highest performing sire groups we have ever weaned, recording a combined progeny WR of 21/105. His sons have extra frame, length, muscle, and the capability to change the performance direction of a cowherd in one generation. The daughters of Olaf follow suit. In a quest to create outcross genetics backed by a royally bred dam, we flushed Blossom to Tex Demand 2791. We will offer the result of this mating as a featured pair of bulls and heifer lot in our 2018 sale.
