Welcome to our 3rd Annual Production Sale. These bulls have been one of the most exciting groups of

cattle that we have ever worked with. Docilility, easy fleshing, and good feet are just a few of the main attributes that we look for in developing them to two-year-old bulls. All bulls in the sale passed a breeding soundness exam performed by Dr. Jerry Kitto in October of 2018. They will be tested again in April of 2019 before delivery.

The five registered heifers were picked out of the heart of our replacement pen. We are confident they will stand up to any registered group of cattle. They are out of good cow lines and bred to breed-leading genetics. Flying W Headline 213B has been used on our herd for the last three years, and we have not touched a calf. In our herd, we strive for calving ease without sacrificing performance.

New this year are the bred, commercial heifers. We handpicked these heifers from herds of 100 to 300 head.

They are stout, feminine females who are easy fleshing, calm, and docile to work with. The groups for sale are sorted by calving dates and sex of calf.

RLC Headline 160E was born unassisted out of a first calf heifer. He went on to boast the heaviest weaning weight in his sire group. His sire, Flying W Headline 213B, has become our sure fire, sleep all night heifer bull. Keep every heifer calf you can out of this guy. Heifers are sorted into groups based on calving date. They will be auctioned off by breed category - Red Angus Heifers, Red, F-1 Baldy Heifers, and Black Angus Heifers.

Commercial, Bred Red & Black Heifers

The highest bidder will get to choose which group they would like to take. Groups are non-negotiable; the bidder will have to take all the heifers in the group. All groups of each breed category will be sold before moving onto the next category.

All ultrasound data was performed by Dr. Greg Carlson of Jamestown. Please remember that the dates and sex are just estimates. The heifers are sold guaranteed bred. Delivery is available at the buyers’ expense. All heifers must be picked up or delivered by January 23.

All heifers were poured with Dectomax and given a ScourGuard 4KC shot in December of 2018.

Upcoming RLC Herd Sires This powerful set of bulls was used as AI and NS sires for RLC during the 2018 breeding season. We look forward to seeing their calf crop in 2019.

Flying W Headline 213B has been our sure-fire heifer bull. He consistently produces easy calving, high performing cattle. He is the sire to Lots 1, 2, and 22 and was used as the AI sire to groups 1, 2, and 6 of the commercial bred heifers.

RLC Benchmark 102E was used as a clean up bull this year. His depth of rib and performance should make an excellent calf crop.

S Value 6206 was an exciting 2017 purchase from Spickler Ranch South. His calves have been some of the best this past spring.

BREEDING GUARANTEE:

All bulls are guaranteed breeders for the first season defined as 90 days following turn out of the bull.

Breeding soundness exams were done in Oct. 2018 and will be done again prior to delivery in the spring by Dr. Jerry Kitto, DVM. All bulls listed in the catalog passed their first breeding soundness exam. There is no guarantee on their semen freezing.

All heifers are guaranteed bred, but does not guarantee a live calf. Ultrasounding was done by Southwood Vet Clinic - due date and sex of calf is just an estimate and not guaranteed.

HEALTH:

All bulls and heifers are in good health and have been vaccinated using the Select Vac Program. All cows tested negative for Jhonnes. Prior to delivery, all bulls will be vaccinated with Bovi-Shield Gold FP 5VL5 and poured with Dectomax.

FREEZE BRANDS:

All cattle are freeze branded on their left hip with their tattoo number.

INSURANCE:

We encourage all buyers to obtain insurance for their animals purchased. Insurance will be available at the sale.

The buyer assumes full liability of death or injury to his/her animal following the sale.

LIABILITY:

We are not responsible for any typographical errors.

Announcements made at the day of the sale will take precedence. All people attending the sale do so at their own risk. Ressler Land and Cattle will not assume liability of any accidents or injuries that occur at the farm.

Breeding soundness is of the utmost importance to us, and we stand behind our animals. We will assist all purchasers in the event of any problems.

VOLUME DISCOUNTS:

Ressler Land and Cattle will retain 1/3 semen interest on all bulls purchased. Buyers will have full possession and salvage rights of the bulls.

DELIVERY:

We offer free delivery of all bulls within ND and to the surrounding states. We will start bull deliveries around April 1, 2019. Heifers should be picked up at the sale or can be delivered at the buyers’ expense. Any cattle being transported internationally will have delivery arranged by RLC at the buyers’ expense.

Terms are cash or check the day of the sale. Cattle will not be released from the farm until payment is received in full.

Buyers purchasing three or more bulls will receive a 5% discount.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

Please contact Bryan Ressler or Mark Ressler if you will need lodging or accommodations to attend the sale. We would be happy to assist you.

SALE FACILITY:

The sale will be held in a heated barn with indoor portable toilets available. The barn is handicap accessible.

FEEDING:

We encourage all buyers to leave the bulls at our farm until delivery to continue their ration and to receive their final breeding soundness exam. This will be at no charge to you up to May 1, 2019.
