Friends, We look forward again this year to the opportunity to share our genetic inputs with you with the hope that it helps you achieve your operational goals. To the many Tucker Family Farms' Sale veterans we thank you for your past support. If this is the first year you have attended our Professional Replacement Female Sale, we look forward to having you appraise our program and the excellent set of replacements we've produced. This spring continues to gain momentum. Some of the market topping values we saw in the January video sales have certainly carried into March, and the great plains prayers for moisture have been answered in the recent weeks. Looking across the next six months our market projects unusually strong fed cattle prices, and corresponding feeder cattle sales. So trading up into young, productive, genetically superior replacement stock is more logical now than ever.

With that in mind and in keeping with our customer service assistance before and after the sale, we would like to offer three additional ways to make this year’s transaction smoother.

First, we will offer viewing of all sale cattle from April 1 through the sale date of April 15. We will have extra help to confidentially handle bids by telephone or in person if you are unable to attend.

Second, taking advantage of these unprecedented low interest rates is sound economics. We have secured arrangements with our bank, if you choose, to finance your purchases to allow them to line up with this year’s cash flow. Call us in advance if you would like to utilize this opportunity to get pre-qualified.

Third, so that your grass can stockpile at home, if you wish you may leave your heifers here for three weeks at no additional charge.

No thanks to Covid, we'll not be serving lunch as some of you are undoubtedly accustomed, but we'll enjoy your fellowship and the opportunity to visit with you on April 15th. We want you to take some great females home with the knowledge that you leave our farm as trusted friends...

1) Heifers will sell in catalog order.

2) All heifers have been ultrasounded to determine: service sire, expected due date, and fetal sex.

3) Heifers are lotted in like groups based on ultrasound results.

Successful bidder may elect to select one, two, three, etc., or take the entire lot.

4) All heifers are safe in calf per service stated in the catalog, Bangs vaccinated, meet all Virginia Premium Assured Plus Guidelines for health and exceed the Guidelines for Genetics.

5) Announcements from the auction block take precedence over this and any other printed material.

It is tough to part with any daughters of D217, who ranks in the top 15% for $Maternal Value with supporting EPDs that predict excellence in maternal calving ease, heifer fertility and improved stocking rates through moderate mature cow size.

Baker D217 is our choice to move forward from our Waylon bull who left us with similarly moderate and efficient females.

Their mating to Hometown should produce more PRIME carcasses with less feed given his top 10% rank for efficient feed conversion and way beyond 1% rank for marbling.
