Dear Cattlemen & Cattlewomen,

Welcome to our annual bull and female sale. We have been fortunate to enjoy a beautiful winter so far, and last summer’s plentiful rains kept pastures in excellent condition, allowing our cows and calves to thrive. At the same time, the feeder calf market has reached levels we have never seen before. In a time when pounds equal profit, selecting bulls that add performance to your bottom line is more important than ever. Our bulls are built to do just that—while also adding maternal value to the heifers they sire.

We believe this is one of the most consistent sets of bulls we have ever raised at Sonderup Angus. This year’s offering includes sons of LAR Man in Black, SAV Magnum, Sitz Feat, and RiseAbove, all backed by outstanding cow families. We strongly believe a good bull starts with a great cow, and maternal strength remains a top priority in our program. That said, the performance of this set speaks for itself, with some of the best weaning weights we have ever recorded. From top to bottom, consistency is a hallmark of this offering, and we are confident these bulls will go out and improve your herd.

The heifers in the sale represent the very top end of our cow herd. If you are looking to add registered females, we encourage you to take a close look. These heifers are sired by some of the top A.I. sires in the country and are built to be productive, long-lasting females.

A sincere thank you goes to Fred Shenk, who has been with us for 54 years and counting, and to Brett and Jason for their continued dedication. We are also deeply grateful to our loyal customers for their past support. We look forward to working with both returning and new customers in the coming year. Please feel free to call or stop by anytime—we welcome you to view the bulls and see the cows behind the bulls and heifers.

Please join us for our open house beginning Saturday, February 21, through sale day on February 24. Bulls and heifers will be on display daily. The sale will be held at the Nance County Fairgrounds in Fullerton at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, February 24. Bring the family and enjoy a steak supper prior to the sale.

We appreciate your interest and look forward to seeing you sale day.

Sincerely,
