We have horses from the finest horsemen in the area and feel very fortunate to be able to offer not only finished rope horses and ranch horses but also prospects with as good of start as you can put on them along with finished cutters, breakaway, and trail horses. between seller/buyer. Lameness must be determined by Saturday following the sale. Soundness includes sound on all four, good in air, eyes, and does not crib. Any disputes after the sale are to be made between the consignor and buyer. Cash, check or bank wire transfers are accepted. Wire transfers must be received by Friday following sale or animal will be held at auction barn at buyer’s cost. No private sales before or after sale shall take place.

Thank you to all of the consigners and buyers here at the Bowman Fall Horse Sale with the Select Breeders Session Offering. We are proud of the horses here and honored that so many were excited to join us in selling today for the second year in a row. Each program offers its unique genetics and proven bloodlines. Cow, cut, ranch, rein, arena prospects…you name itthere is a horse in this offering that fits your type and budget. There are generations of horses and people in many of these programs and you will see that as you walk through the horses on sale day and visit with all of these great folks. This sale has quickly grown into one of the premier places to purchase your next prospect or ride horse. This past year, it has been fun to catch up with people and hear how their prospects or riding horses are doing. We have been able to watch some of the rope horses compete while on the rodeo trail this last year. Some of the yearlings sold last year have already hit the show pens and achieved great success. This year we are excited to offer our second Reyzin The Boon ‘18 offspring. Boon and Travis Young are currently gearing up for their second run at NRCHA Worlds Greatest Horseman in Ft. Worth during the month of February at the NRCHA Celebration of Champions. Right now they have over $45,000 in NRCHA earnings. They finished 11th in the World’s Greatest Horseman last year out of over 80 horses entered. We couldn’t be more proud of all this duo has accomplished together! To save our customers shipping expenses while breeding to Boon, we have placed semen tanks or stock with a few different breeding or veterinary clinics. Just like the 2026 breeding season, if you use any of these facilities to have your mare(s) bred, you will save the shipping fee. Boon’s breeding fee will remain $2000 (includes shipping to wherever you need it to go from Colorado State University) or $1500 if you use any of these facilities: -Nexxt Level Veterinary Services - Dr. Shelbey McLean - Baker, MT -Red Valley Genetics - Piedmont, SD -Cody Veterinary Hospital - Dr. Stephanie White - Cody, WY -Colorado State Univeristy - Fort Collins, CO We are excited to say his 2027 breeding book is filling up fast again. We appreciate how many people love him and his offspring. We had clients in 16 different states breed to Boon this year, selling out of all of our breedings. Travis Young has started and trained the majority of our horses over the last ten years. He gets all of our two year olds started and going well, then either sends them home to the ranch to join our ranch string or keeps them to continue preparing them for a career in the cow horse show pen. This past year Travis began working for our program full time. He rides very few outside horses other than ours anymore. He and his wife Stephanie took on the majority of our broodmares and handled all of the AI breeding logistics as well as the entire embryo and icsi breeding program. Dr. Stephanie White in Cody, Wyoming did a wonderful job for our breeding program this year. We can’t wait to see all the babies next spring. We again bred some of our mares and client mares to our ranch stud, PRF Purrfect Star (Tornado). He is as gentle and calm as ever; a favorite among our crew to ride on the ranch. Our stud fee remains $1000 (mare care included). His offspring are used on the ranch, in the arena and some of the oldest have just hit the NRCHA show pen. The three riding horses we are offering are by him. We have full siblings to all of them; otherwise, these mares would stay with us. Travis has done and exposed them to a lot in their 3 years. From the ranch to the arena, all three of these mares have an outstanding handle and start. We have worked hard to put together solid, money earning, proven mares that produce outstanding offspring with these two stallions. Many have been with us for several years and most of them we have kept offspring of theirs and are in our Cavvy of ranch horses, show horses or broodmares. We hope as you look through these consignments of ours you are able to see the proven mare power behind them. We have been collecting embryos from all of our money earning show mares. We are very excited for these prospects! Dr. White has several frozen embryos on hand from our mares and program.
