We are pleased to welcome you to our annual production sale. We strive to produce moderate framed, easy calving, easy fleshing red cattle that are good uddered with structural correctness. That have stayability bred into them. Disposition is very important to us. We offer Red Angus and Red Angus-Simmental hybrids that are not pampered and will go out and work in real world conditions.

Selling (60) Bulls & (60) Replacement Heifers SALE INFORMATION LOCATION: Red Genetics Ranch, 29927 400th Ave., Wagner, SD 57380. From Wagner, 5 miles east on Hwy. 46, 2-1/4 south or from Dante, 3/4 mile North.

AUCTIONEER: Glen Peterson, Springfield, SD, 605-661-1843.

LUNCH: Complimentary lunch starts at 11:00 AM VIEWING: Cattle can be viewed at the ranch anytime.

LIABILITY: Anyone attending our sales does so at their own risk for which we are not responsible for accidents that may occur on our ranch.

BULL INSURANCE: Bures-Kronaizl Insurance will be on site for assisting you with your insurance needs. Any bull purchased will need to be insured or taken home at your own risk. Red Genetics Ranch will be paying a portion of insurance premiums.

MOTELS: Wagner Lakeside, 605-384-5464.

DELIVERY: Free delivery within 300 miles.

SEMEN INTEREST: Red Genetics Ranch is retaining 1/3 semen interest in all bulls sold. Buyer retains full possession and full salvage value.

HEALTH: All bulls have had complete vaccination program and have been semen tested and scrotal measured by Sioux Nation Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Tony Sees, DVM. Ultrasound data will be available sale day. Heifers are Bang’s vaccinated and have had pre-breeding shots.

RATION: Bulls were weaned Aug. 20. Started on grass hay then moved to a 46 NEG Ration consisting of 2 lb. Dry Distillers, grass hay, oats and corn silage. James Grothe of Kent Nutrition Group is consulting nutritionist, 320-333-8161.

WINTERING: Bulls are fed free until April 1st, then delivered.

Heifers need to be loaded out sale day unless arrangements are made. Discount of $25 per head on any bull taken home sale day.

Heifers Replacement Heifers will be sorted into groups according to size and body confirmation.

We will be offering choice on heifers. They have been given Bang’s vaccination and also have had their first breeding shot. Heifers are Red Angus and Sim-Red Angus. This group of heifers will go on to make great cows. Disposition is good, they are feminine, easy fleshing, broody females out of a very maternal cow herd.
