SALE INFORMATION

I would like to personally invite you to our 19th annual bull sale, and thank you for taking time to look at our offering! I have to start out by thanking all of my family. My wife, Kami, and our 2 daughters Kyra and Kasey, all play a huge part in our operation and we could not get done what we do without the tremendous amount of work they all put into it. Our operation would not run and be what it is without all the work that Kami puts in! Kasey is now done with college and works full time with us which has been a tremendous attribute. Kyra did all of our pictures again this year and also helped with our ad and catalog design and loves her new job working for Hannah Shroyer at Honor Ag Branding. They are truly amazing at what they do! We also have to thank our parents for all the work and time they spend helping out. Whether it be feeding cattle or helping out on the farm or running errands for us , all of their help is greatly appreciated! Finally, we have to thank Blake and our newest employee Atley as well as all our neighbors for all their help throughout the year. They are a huge help with anything we ask of them and we appreciate all that they do for us!

The bull’s being offered this year are a tremendous set of stout, high preforming, easy doing bulls. Our bulls are fed right and built for longevity. Feet and legs are extremely important to us and our bulls are fed a high roughage diet with the idea of lasting longer and being problem free for a longer period. All of the bulls selling will have 50k data collected on them and will be posted in the catalog. We hope this gives our customer more confidence, and aids in the selection of their bull. We take great pride in the bulls we offer you and only offer the top 1/3 of our bull crop born.

The cattle market now is unlike anything we have seen and the outlook is nothing but positive for the future. Whether you are selling calves after weaning or taking them to finish, pounds pay right now! We have a unbelievable set of bulls that will add pounds and performance to anyone’s herd and also had premiums for those taking them to finish. There has truly never been a better time to be in the cattle business for anyone!

I want to again thank Hans, Erik and their family for once again being a part of the sale and bringing a tremendous set of bulls to the sale. The Burken families are as good of people as you will find anywhere and we thank them again for bringing us a tremendous set of Sim influenced bulls.

Welcome to the 4M Angus/Burken Cattle Co. annual bull sale. This year will mark our 19th year of offering bulls with the Meyer family and we are excited to showcase these bulls for your appraisal on March 8, 2026.

This past year in the cattle market has been unimaginable but deserved by all involved. The fact is consumers demand a quality product and you as producers have done the due diligence and hard work to make a product that consumers demand. We feel this set of bulls will continue improving your calf crop with balanced, problem free cattle that work in all areas of the industry. We are continually selecting for balance to maximize growth and carcass but not sacrifice structure, maternal traits, and efficiency. They must do this with minimal assistance and minimal inputs. We cull as hard as any commercial operation and are proud of the cows that have produced these bulls. As in years past, all bulls have Genomically Enhanced EPD’s, tested for coat color, and will be semen tested prior to the sale.

Lastly, we must not forget to thank all of those involved in making this annual sale happen. Thank you to Brandon, Kami, Kyra, and Kasey for hosting the sale at their place and their continued support of our operation. We also need to thank the Darr Feedlot crew for the wonderful job they have done for us this year as well as years past. And most importantly, all our family that had a part in helping with everything and anything that was asked. Some days can be trying but we always find a way to enjoy it and make a memory.

GUARANTEE

Buyers of all bulls selling for $5000 or more are guaranteed against breeding injury for the first season.Breeding season is defined as the 90-day period following the turnout of the bulls. If a replacement bull is available, one will be provided or if the buyer prefers, credit towards one bull will be given in the following year’s sale, less salvage value of the injured bull or $2500, whichever is higher. This is not a life insurance policy. It does not include loss due to neglect, sickness, or an act of God (lightning, flood, etc). If any problems or issues arise, please contact us within 48 hours.

HERD HEALTH

The bulls are on a complete health program. They have had pre-weaning and weaning shots and have been vaccinated with IBR, BVD Type I and II, P13, Pasturella, 7-way, Haemophilus, and Decotmax injectable. All bulls have been scrotal measured and have passed a semen test done by Dr. Jeremy VanBoening of Republican Valley Animal Center at Alma, NE. All Angus bulls have been freeze branded.

Free delivery will be done on all bulls up to 250 miles. After the 250 miles you may be asked to meet at a central location or arrange for delivery of your bull.

One look at their Jumbo dam and you will understand why we are so high on all of them. Jumbo is one of the absolute best bulls in the breed now and for anyone that has traveled to Montana to see him, they would agree!! Our top selling Man In Black son last sold for 66k to Foxhoven Angus and was one the best bulls to sell anywhere last spring! This bull is so unique with his negative birth weight and double digit CED that goes along with a weaning ratio of 120 and a yearling ratio of 108. There is a ton of performance in this calving ease prospect and one that will leave high fertility type females and bulls. A definite foot improver and a bull that is going to have a lot of friends on sale day!!

When you get behind this bull and see the base width and just pure muscle and power he has, it is amazing that he comes that way in a negative BW, +14 CED package! With all that power and shape, he can still get out and travel tremendously well. Everyone that has seen his dam falls in love with her and she is one that will never leave our place! This Dignity son is without question the best one we have ever let leave our farm! He is so sound made with a tremendous look and presence to him. You get him out on the move and he does it with ease. When you move behind this bull is where things really change! He is so wide pinned and big topped that it is hard to believe he is all Angus. This is a bull that can add a great amount of look and style to his calves but will still have plenty of growth and performance along with that.
