CHURCH PLANTING TEAMS

THE LAUNCH TEAM

For many missionaries, the first season in missions can be a lot to juggle. New culture, new language, new friends, new joys, and new challenges.

Bringing gospel access to the most unreached places in the world will require healthy teams of healthy people with the skills and support to give a lifetime of gospel work.

The Launch Teams exist to prepare new workers for the harvest fields of the Silk Road and Iran by helping new missionaries learn to:

• Abide in Jesus within a Muslim context.

• Acquire the tools and skills necessary to learn a second (or third) language.

• Gain an understanding and passion for crossing cultures.

• Proclaim the gospel and establish the church where it does not exist.

MISSIONARIES WHO START THEIR JOURNEY ON A LAUNCH TEAM CAN EXPECT TO SPEND 1 TO 2 YEARS TRAINING BEFORE CONTINUING TO A CHURCH PLANTING TEAM.

WHAT IS A CHURCH PLANTING TEAM?

We believe in the value of team.

The unreached people groups of the Silk Road and Iran will not be reached by lone-wolf heroes, but by groups of people with varying skill sets and in varying seasons of life, working in unity towards one goal: to plant the church among the unreached and bring glory to Jesus.

While many missionaries start their training on a launch team, some start on a church planting team. Whether having started on a launch team or a church planting team, members are multinational and multigenerational.

The purpose of the church planting team is self-descriptive: to plant the church among unreached people through team.

TEAMS CONSIST OF:

• team leaders

• team members

• a business platform or strategic way to be in a country

TOGETHER, TEAMS ACTIVELY SHARE THE GOSPEL, DISCIPLE NEW BELIEVERS, AND PLANT THE CHURCH.

For Beginners

We have opportunities for you to go on a short journey. See what missions is about. Walk alongside our workers for 10–15 days as they give you a taste of church planting and their calling.

INTERNSHIP

Pick up the Pace

1–3 months

Are you up for a deeper understanding of life as a Live Dead worker? Take your journey to the next level. Join an internship where you will truly walk with our workers and experience the pace of church planting work among the unreached. Learn a bit of language, receive some training, and share Jesus with new friends.
