Recommended by LivCo Kids A DAY OF ADVENTURE BY LINCOLN (AGE: 10) Visiting Letchworth in autumn was the best! The air smelled like leaves and campfires. We hiked to a big waterfall, and while we were looking, guess what? We looked DOWN at hot air balloons floating in the gorge! They looked like giant bubbles, all colorful as they drifted up out of the gorge and over the trees. We drank warm apple cider and had donuts at a picnic table. I didn’t want to leave. I told Mom I want to come back in the winter to go sledding at the big hill by the Nature Center and see frozen waterfalls.
A DAY OF ADVENTURE BY HAZEL (AGE: 9) The Dansville Fairy Door Trail is SO cool! There are tiny little doors all around the town, like secret entrances for fairies! My brother and I went on a fairy hunt and it was like a real-life treasure hunt. Each door is different— some have funny shapes, some are sparkly, and all have cute little decorations. We even found one that looked like a castle! It’s so magical to think that fairies might actually live behind them. I hope one day I see a fairy fly by, but for now, the doors are enough!
Bowling is so much fun! I love it when I get to look at all the colorful bowling balls, and I always try to find the purple one (my favorite color). When I knock all the pins down for a strike, my friends high-five me. My favorite place to go is Raider Lanes in Caledonia because glow-in-the-dark bowling makes it look so cool!
