Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino (center) recently joined with fellow participants for the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County Inc. (CP Nassau) 15th Annual Polar Bear Plunge held at Town of Oyster Bay’s Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park, Beach and Marina in Oyster Bay. This event helps hundreds of children and adults with disabilities that and receive services through CP Nassau. Supervisor Saladino thanked the organization before taking part in the Polar Plunge himself.
Town looking at new concession services for TOBAY Beach The Town of Oyster Bay will hold a special meeting to hear applications for new concession services at TOBAY Beach on Thursday, March 21st, beginning at 10 a.m. at Oyster Bay Town Hall. “The Town Board will publicly hear presentations submitted in response to a request for proposals for the operation of food and beverage concessions at TOBAY Beach,” Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino stated. “As with all our regular Town Board meetings, the presentations will be live-streamed through the Town’s website.” Presentations will take place as part of a work session, which the Board will enter into at the start of the 10 a.m. meeting. During that time, interested applicants will present their proposals for concessions at TOBAY and answer questions from the Town Board. Councilmembers will utilize a scoring sheet to assist in making their selections based on evaluation criteria that includes the applicant’s overall capabilities, experience, organizational ability, financial capability, and fee and price structure.
Get ready to tee off at Town’s championship golf course The Town of Oyster Bay has announced that registration is now open for residents seeking tee-time at the Honorable Joseph Colby Town of Oyster Bay Golf Course, located in Woodbury. Anyone interested in tee-time can register online at www.OysterBayTown. com/golf. “Our state-of-the-art golfing facility is scheduled to open for the 2019 season on Tuesday, March 19th, weather permitting,” Town of Oyster Bay Councilman Anthony Macagnone said. “For the convenience of all golfers, anyone seeking a tee-time to play a round of golf can now register online, with members able to make reservations 30 days in advance, and non-members seven days,” The Honorable Joseph Colby Town of Oyster Bay Golf Course is situated on 121 acres of Long Island’s coveted Gold Coast. It is a challenging 18-hole, par-70
championship golf course that features meticulously manicured greens complete with cascading waterfalls, narrow fairways, water holes, sand and grass bunkers, as well as a putting green.
