Syosset Pharmacy opened last fall at 175 Jericho Turnpike, adjacent to Northwell Health Syosset Hospital in the medical professional building’s west lobby suite. The brand new ‘smart pharmacy’ is specifically designed with customer service for the sophisticated, discerning demographic of the Town of Oyster Bay including the communities of Woodbury, Syosset and Jericho. On Monday January 14 the Syosset Woodbury Chamber of Commerce gathered for a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony with the company executives and Nassau County Legislators Arnold C. Drucker and (Syosset native) Joshua A. Lafazan, as well as the Honorable Rhonda E. Fischer, District Court of Nassau County judge. Newly elected New York State Senator Jim Gaughran, whose district stretches from Huntington to its neighboring Nassau North Shore communities, was also represented at the Chamber of Commerce event by his aide. A network of new pharmacies from Deliver My Meds. Corporation, whose owner lives in Oyster Bay, opened its Syosset location in quarter three of 2018 following three other locations in Valley Stream and Brooklyn. A $4.9 million project to open a facility on Oser Avenue in Hauppauge, including the renovation of a 20,000-square-foot building, is part of Deliver My Meds’ plans. Last October the startup received assistance from the Suffolk County IDA with a sales tax benefit of up to $88,838 on the purchase of equipment, plus a mortgage recording tax benefit of $23,100. Chief Strategy Officer Bob Weinberg described the well-planned physician and client-focused business model that Syosset Pharmacy is rooted in. The company believes “patients are not numbers.” The prime Syosset location was selected for a number of corresponding reasons but mainly, as Weinberg stated, because the business now brings Syosset-Woodbury and neighbors the benefits of a concierge-level pharmacy. The Chamber of Commerce learned of the vision behind Syosset Pharmacy as it represents an integral (and often intricate) part of patients’ long-term medical care plans. Online, Syosset Pharmacy’s tagline is “Quality Pharmaceutical service for securing your Health.” Weinberg says there’s a comprehensive blend of new technologies and the old-fashioned local pharmacy 1:1 interaction involved in setting up Syosset Pharmacy and its sister locations on Long Island. “Patients get to know us and we offer personal service, the way it used to be. We are able to this level of service to provide for three local markets -- our community needs, home-care and rehabilitation (facilities). Home care agencies are working with the pharmacy and we
