Water district collects 300 lbs of medications

The Plainview Water District (PWD) successfully hosted its fifth annual Pharmaceutical Take Back Day and collected more than 300 pounds of unwanted or expired medications. These medications will now be disposed of properly in order to prevent them from making it into the community’s sole-source aquifer for drinking water. Hicksville massage parlor busted
Nassau County Police arrested a Queens woman in Hicksville on Wednesday, November 2, for allegedly performing massages without a license. She was also charged
with prostitution. According to Narcotics Vice Squad Detectives, an undercover investigation at a premise located at 195 South Broadway, led to the arrest
of Ru Shao, 35. Police say she performed unauthorized massages. The location was secured by the Town of Oyster Bay Building Department.

Hicksville man arrested for school trespassing Nassau County Police arrested a Hicksville man for criminal trespassing at Hicksville High School between Tuesday, April 12, 2022 and Wednesday, May 18, 2022. According to detectives, Peter Centeno, 40, of Hicksville, violated a No Trespassing Order against the Hicksville Public School District numerous times by being on Hicksville High School grounds. Peter Centeno is charged with sixcounts of Criminal Trespassing 3rd Degree.
