Bethpage High students aim to break barriers in STEM

Six students from Bethpage High School recently participated in a seminar for young women interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics offered by Hofstra University and the Women’s Summer Program in Computing/ Engineering. Elected to Bethpage Water District Board

The Bethpage Water District (BWD) is proud to announce the newest member of its Board of Commissioners, Scott Greco. Scott, a lifelong, fourth-generation Bethpage resident, joins Chairman John Coumatos and Treasurer Theresa Black on the District’s board of commissioners that is committed to continue holding polluters accountable for the Northrop Grumman Plume while ensuring Bethpage residents receive the high-quali-

ty water. “It is a true honor to have been elected as Commissioner of the Bethpage Water District,” said Commissioner Scott Greco. “My family has a rich history of dedication to the Bethpage Water District as both my father and grandfather have served as past commissioners. Along with the pride I feel for being an active member in my hometown, I’m motivated and determined to continue the great work of this District

to hold polluters accountable and ensure nothing stands in the way of us providing our residents with the highest quality water at the lowest possible cost.” Commissioner Greco graduated from Bethpage High School in 1980 and went on to attend the Academy of Aeronautics.
