Jericho Bulletin says: “We’re Number 4” (Not!)
BY GEORGE HABER
In lauding its rating by Niche as the “fourth best district in the United States in 2022” the Jericho Budget Bulletin for May mis-stated the district’s ranking. Jericho actually placed fifth, not fourth, and fell behind Great Neck, which was ranked third.

Three other districts, all in Illinois, scored higher than Jericho — Adlai Stevenson (No. 1), Glenbrook (No. 2), and Community High School District (No. 4). will be on display at the Syosset Public Library during the month of May.
The Budget Bulletin correctly report ed that US News ranked Jericho High School the best high school on Long Island. The top-ranked high school in New York State was Townsend Harris in Queens.
Every year, members of the Syosset High School National Art Honor Society provide art awareness and community services, and create unique, one-of-a-kind artwork that beautifies local and global communities. This year, the artwork displayed in the Syosset Library Gallery was inspired by the prompt “Nature.” Students used any material of their choice and were encouraged to create an original composition based on their interpretation of the theme. A selection of the work they produced is on display in the Syosset Library Gallery through May.
Syosset Library is located at 225 South Oyster Bay Road in Syosset. For more information about programs, services, and hours, call 516-921-7161, or visit the library or the website at www.syossetlibrary.org.
